Spiritual compulsion is detrimental to the soul....

Spiritual compulsion may not be exerted on any human being if he is to become perfect on earth. And that is why the Word of God can only ever be made accessible to him again and again, to which he then has to make up his own mind according to his own free will. He should only know about the commandment of love, but every other commandment impairs his free will and is therefore not a blessing for the soul's upward development. If the human being comes to terms with this divine commandment of love, then his will shall also start to become active as soon as he accepts this commandment. Then his thoughts and actions are free, they correspond to the direction of his will for or against God, and every action is now judged by God according to this will. If, however, the slightest compulsion is exercised, if man is induced by commandments to certain actions, then they nevertheless remain without deeper value before God, as they are the effects of those commandments but not of man's freest will. And this is a use of the life force without any blessing for the soul. You humans have to differentiate between the spiritual substance's original purpose and its completely powerless state at the time of its life on earth.... And you have to know that the latter was only the result of your own wrong will. Understandably, the original initial state has to be striven for and achieved again in complete free will, which eliminates every law of compulsion during the last stage as a human being. Now man can be shown the way through the commandment to love God and his neighbor. And this commandment should only be given to him in the form of the divine teaching, which should be made accessible to him as God's Word and now demands his own freest opinion about it. He should by no means feel compelled to do so by punishment or the promise of reward, only the effect of a life of love or a life without love should be held up to him so that his own sense of responsibility towards his soul will be awakened as a result. But this does not mean coercion for the human being's soul, for as long as he does not seriously turn his will towards God he also lacks faith in everything, in God, in a continued life of the soul and in a responsibility after his death.... And so far, any spiritual education does neither mean a compulsion to believe, nor a curtailment of free will.... Nevertheless, he can carry out deeds of love of his own accord, and as a result he will enter a state of weak realisation and now also seriously take a stand on God's Word.... and this of his own free will. All spiritual compulsion must be eliminated, for it is only harmful to the human being's soul. But the teaching of Christ should be spread diligently and those of good will shall accept it and arrange their lives accordingly. They will strive upwards and gain God's pleasure because their will has freely inclined towards Him and this alone will be valued....

영적인 강요는 혼에게 도움이 되지 않는다.

사람이 이 땅에서 온전해질 수 있게 되려면, 어떤 사람에게도 영적인 강요를 해서는 안 된다. 그러므로 항상 또 다시 단지 그가 하나님의 말씀을 중요하게 여기게 할 수 있다. 그러면 그가 스스로 자유의지로 자신의 입장을 취해야만 한다. 그는 단지 사랑하라는 계명을 알아야 한다. 그러나 이 외에 다른 모든 계명은 그의 자유의지에 영향을 미치고, 그러므로 혼의 성장을 위해 축복이 되지 못한다. 사람이 이런 하나님의 사랑의 계명에 대해 생각해본다면, 그가 하나님의 계명을 영접하면, 그의 의지가 또한 역사하기 시작한다. 그러면 그의 생각과 행동이 자유롭게 되고, 그의 의지의 방향이 하나님을 위하거나 반대하고, 모든 행동이 이제 이런 의지에 따라 하나님의 평가를 받는다.

그러나 가장 작은 강요가 행사되고, 사람이 계명을 통해 어떤 행동을 하게 만든다면, 행동이 이런 계명의 효과로 인해 이뤄지고, 인간의 가장 자유한 의지로 이뤄지지 않는다면, 그런 행동은 하나님 앞에 가치가 없다. 이런 일은 혼에게 축복이 되지 않게 삶의 힘을 사용하는 일이다. 너희 인간은 영적인 존재의 원래 초기에 정함 받은 상태와 영적인 존재가 이 땅에서 사는 동안 전적으로 힘이 없는 상태를 분리해서 생각해야만 한다. 이런 힘이 없는 상태가 단지 영적인 존재의 잘못된 의지의 결과임을 알아야 한다.

당연히 완전히 자유의지로 원래 초기의 상태를 추구해야만 하고, 달성해야만 한다. 인간으로 사는 마지막 단계에서는 모든 의무의 법칙이 사라진다. 사람에게 이제 하나님과 이웃을 사랑하라는 계명을 통해 길을 보여줘야 한다. 이런 계명은 단지 자신의 가장 자유한 소감을 요구하는 하나님의 가르침의 형태로 그에게 알려줘야 한다. 그는 형벌이나 임금을 약속함으로 가르침을 따르도록 절대로 강요당해서는 안되고, 단지 사랑의 삶이나 사랑 없는 삶의 결과를 그에게 알려줘야 한다. 이로써 자신의 혼에 대한 그의 책임감이 깨어나게 해야 한다.

그러나 사랑의 삶이나 사랑 없는 삶의 결과를 알려주는 일이 인간의 혼을 향한 강요를 의미하지 않는다. 왜냐면 그가 진지하게 자신의 뜻을 하나님께 향하게 하지 않는 동안에는, 그에게 모든 것을 믿는 믿음과 하나님을 믿는 믿음과 혼이 계속 살고, 그가 죽은 후에 지는 책임을 믿는 믿음이 없기 때문이다. 자유의지를 훼손하지 않는 동안에는 모든 영적인 설명이 강요가 되지 않는다. 그러나 그가 스스로 사랑을 실천할 수 있고, 그렇게 함으로써 그는 약한 깨달음에 도달할 것이고, 이제 또한 완전한 자유의지로 하나님의 말씀에 대해 진지한 입장을 취하게 될 것이다.

모든 영적인 강요를 해서는 안 된다. 왜냐면 그런 일은 인간의 혼에게 단지 해를 끼치기 때문이다. 그러나 그리스도의 가르침은 열심이 전파되야 한다. 선한 의지를 가진 사람들은 그리스도의 가르침을 받아들이고, 그들의 삶을 그리스도의 가르침에 따라 살 것이다. 그들은 높은 곳을 추구하고, 하나님을 기쁘게 할 것이다. 왜냐면 그들의 의지가 자유롭게 하나님께 향했고, 이런 일이 유일하게 가치가 있기 때문이다.
