Last test of will....

The spiritual being which resisted God had to live through endless times of bondage, and only a short phase is given to it to test its will, yet this short phase is decisive for its further state, for its fate in eternity. The walk through the material world is certainly agonizing for the spiritual being because it cannot freely work according to its will. In the last stage, however, its will is freely given and therefore life as a human being no longer seems unbearable to it, indeed, it usually feels so comfortable in this stage that it makes no effort to exchange it for a free life as a spirit, free of all earthly matter and thus of all fetters which previously bound the free spiritual. And that is why the last test of will is often not passed, and the endless long course of ascent development before was in vain when earth life still results in the spiritual being regressing, that it falls back into the hands of its enemy, who is to blame for its lack of freedom. And yet this last test has to be imposed on the spiritual being because it should strive towards God in complete free will if it wants to become free and regain its original strength. At the beginning of its embodiment as man it is in a degree of maturity which guarantees its complete liberation, therefore every man can wrest himself from the power of the opponent during his short earth life. He is offered all possibilities to do so, and he is also assured of God's support if he only asks for it. But in order to test his will the adversary must also have the power to make him submissive to his desire, otherwise it cannot be spoken of a decision of will. And that is why earthly life is full of struggles and temptations, of all kinds of resistance, which the spiritual must and can overcome with God's help. Therefore the human being must consciously make use of God's help, he must be supplied with the knowledge of a power Which can do everything It wants and wants everything that is good, because It is love in Itself. The human being must believe in this power and make contact with It and, full of desire to belong to this power, appeal to It for strength to reach the aim on earth. Then he will release himself from bondage, because God's love seizes everything that consciously and in free will turns towards it again, as it once turned away from it in free will. The spiritual being has to pass this last test of will, and earthly life is given to it for this purpose, so that it will finally become free from God's opposing power and attain its original state again.... that it is intimately united with God as a being of light, from Whom it once originated....

의지의 마지막 시험.

하나님을 대적하는 존재는 끝없이 긴 기간에 걸쳐 묶임을 받은 상태를 거쳐야만 하고, 그의 의지를 시험하기 위해 그에게 단지 짧은 단계가 주어진다. 그러나 이 짧은 단계는 그의 계속되는 상태에, 그의 영원 가운데 운명에 결정적이다. 물질 세계를 거치는 과정은 영적인 존재에게 고통스럽다. 왜냐면 존재가 자신의 의지대로 자유롭게 행동할 수 없기 때문이다. 반면에 마지막 단계에서는 존재에게 의지의 자유가 주어진다. 그러므로 인간으로써 사는 삶은 더 이상 그에게 견딜 수 없는 것처럼 보이지 않고, 이로써 대부분 이 단계에서 너무 편안해, 이 땅의 모든 물질로부터 자유로운, 이로써 자유로운 영적인 존재를 이 전에 묶고 있던 모든 사슬로부터 자유로운 영으로써 사는 자유로운 삶과 교환하지 않는다.

그러므로 마지막 의지의 시험에 자주 합격하지 못한다. 존재의 이 땅의 삶이 존재가 퇴보하는 결과를 내고, 존재가 자신의 자유를 빼앗은 대적자의 손에 넘어가는 결과를 가져온다면, 이 전의 끝없는 위로 성장하는 과정이 헛된 일이 된다. 그러나 영적인 존재는 마지막 시험은 치러야만 한다. 왜냐면 존재가 자유롭게 되고, 원래의 힘을 되찾기 원하면, 전적인 자유의지로 하나님을 추구해야 하기 때문이다.

존재는 완전하게 해방되는 일을 보장하는 성숙도에 도달한 가운데 인간으로 육신을 입는 일을 시작한다. 즉 모든 사람이 이 땅의 짧은 삶 동안 대적자의 권세로부터 벗어날 수 있고, 이를 위한 모든 가능성이 그에게 제공이 되고, 그가 단지 하나님의 지원을 요구한다면, 하나님의 지원이 그에게 보장된다. 그러나 사람의 의지를 시험하기 위해서는 대적자에게 또한 사람을 자신의 욕망을 따르게 만들 권세가 주어져야만 한다. 그렇지 않으면 의지의 결정이라고 말할 수 없기 때문이다. 그러므로 이 땅의 삶은 영적인 존재는 하나님의 도움으로 극복해야만 하고, 극복할 수 있는 싸움과 유혹과 모든 종류의 저항으로 가득 차 있다.

그러므로 사람은 의식적으로 하나님의 도움을 활용해야만 하고, 자신이 원하는 모든 일을 할 수 있고 자신이 사랑이기 때문에 선한 모든 것을 원하는 권세에 대한 지식을 받아야만 한다. 사람은 이런 권세를 믿어야만 하고, 이런 권세와 연결을 이뤄야만 하고, 이런 권세에게 속하기를 전적으로 갈망해야만 하고, 이런 권세에게 이 땅의 목표를 달성할 힘을 구해야만 한다. 그러면 그는 묶임으로부터 자신을 자유롭게 할 것이다. 왜냐면 하나님의 사랑이 존재가 한때 자유의지로 하나님의 사랑을 떠난 것처럼, 의식적으로 자유의지로 하나님의 사랑에게 다시 돌아가려는 모든 존재를 붙잡기 때문이다. 영적인 존재는 이런 마지막 의지의 시험을 통과해야만 하고, 이를 위해 이 땅의 삶이 그에게 주어졌다. 이로써 존재가 최종적으로 하나님의 대적자의 권세로부터 자유롭게 되어, 빛의 존재로써 한때 자신을 생성되게 한 하나님과 긴밀하게 연결을 이루는, 그의 원래의 상태에 도달해야 한다.
