Increased suffering.... catastrophe.... call from the heart....

Earth has not yet seen greater suffering, and yet it is not enough to change people and make them turn towards God. It is a desolate state, for the earthly world is everything to people, the spiritual world nothing, since they lack faith in it. And even the greatest suffering does not change people's thinking, again and again they fall away from God and confess their affiliation to His adversary through their unkind actions. And thus they strive towards a wrong aim, they walk towards eternal ruin. The suffering still to come upon people would certainly be suitable to change their mind if they are not yet completely under satan’s control, yet he, too, tries to influence people with cunning and force, he tries to revolt them against God and he will succeed, for people themselves lean towards him because he represents the world and promises them an earthly life of well-being.... And thus the last will also come to people, for God wants to show them that everything earthly is transient and that their hopes and desires are deceptive, that everything is void if God does not want it, so that they will recognize that a stronger will rules to which they are subject. Because they don't believe in God, God wants to make Himself known to people, He wants to let His voice sound, powerful and unmistakable; He wants them to recognize their powerlessness and feel a power over them to which they are at the mercy or mercylessness of God. And therefore He will reveal Himself through the forces of nature and make it easy for people to gain faith by suggesting to them to call upon Him, by letting the adversity assail them so frighteningly that they call for help. And if this cry of distress comes from the heart He will help them, each one according to his faith and his desire.... He will consider the souls even if He abandons the body to the raging of the forces of nature.... For it is the souls who are in great distress, since the body's existence is no longer of long duration. Yet He will also save many people earthly, He will bring Himself close to them so that they give up their resistance, so that they allow themselves to be defeated by His love, which they now recognize through miraculous salvation from the danger of the body. Yet this adversity still has to befall people, an event has to take them by surprise which destroys all plans, all hopes, which makes them as helpless as children, so that they, too, call out to their father like children.... so that the soul in its distress turns to the one Who is lord and creator, so that it appeals to Him for mercy and can now be seized by His merciful love. And thus the suffering on earth has to take on forms which appear insurmountable so that the human being's powerlessness will come to the fore and he, in his feeling of utmost weakness and abandonment, in utmost adversity and danger, will call upon the one Who can help him.... And as soon as the call comes from the heart he will be helped....

Vermehrtes Leid.... Katastrophe.... Ruf aus dem Herzen....

Größeres Leid hat die Erde noch nicht gesehen, und doch genügt es nicht, die Menschen zu wandeln und sie Gott zugewandten Sinnes zu machen. Es ist ein trostloser Zustand, denn die irdische Welt gilt den Menschen alles, die geistige Welt nichts, da ihnen der Glaube daran fehlt. Und selbst das größte Leid ändert das Denken der Menschen nicht, sie fallen immer wieder ab von Gott und bekennen durch ihr liebloses Handeln ihre Zugehörigkeit zu Seinem Gegner. Und sie streben somit ein verkehrtes Ziel an, sie gehen dem ewigen Verderben entgegen. Was noch an Leid über die Menschen kommt, wäre wohl geeignet, ihren Sinn zu ändern, so sie noch nicht ganz in der Gewalt des Satans sind, doch auch dieser suchet mit List und Gewalt auf die Menschen einzuwirken, er sucht sie aufzulehnen gegen Gott, und es wird ihm gelingen, denn die Menschen selbst neigen sich ihm zu, weil er die Welt vertritt und ihnen ein irdisches Wohlleben verspricht.... Und so wird auch noch das letzte an die Menschen herantreten, denn Gott will ihnen zeigen, daß alles Irdische vergänglich ist und daß ihre Hoffnungen und ihre Wünsche trügen, daß alles hinfällig ist, so Gott es nicht will, auf daß sie erkennen, daß ein stärkerer Wille regieret, dem sie untertan sind. Weil sie nicht an Gott glauben, will Gott Sich den Menschen kundtun, Er will Seine Stimme ertönen lassen, gewaltig und unüberhörbar; Er will, daß sie ihre Machtlosigkeit erkennen und eine Macht über sich spüren, der sie auf Gnade oder Ungnade ausgeliefert sind. Und darum wird Er Sich offenbaren durch die Naturgewalten und es den Menschen leichtmachen, den Glauben zu gewinnen, indem Er ihnen nahelegt, Ihn anzurufen, indem Er die Not so beängstigend auf sie einstürmen läßt, daß sie um Hilfe rufen. Und so dieser Notruf von Herzen kommt, wird Er ihnen beistehen, jedem einzelnen nach seinem Glauben und seinem Verlangen.... Er wird die Seelen bedenken, selbst wenn Er den Leib dem Toben der Naturgewalten überlässet.... Denn die Seelen sind es, die in großer Not sind, da des Leibes Bestehen nicht mehr von langer Dauer ist. Doch Er wird auch viele Menschen irdisch erretten, Er wird Sich ihnen nahebringen, daß sie ihre Abwehr aufgeben, daß sie sich durch Seine Liebe besiegen lassen, die sie nun erkennen durch wunderbare Errettung aus der Gefahr des Leibes. Doch es muß diese Not noch über die Menschen kommen, es muß ein Geschehen sie überraschen, das alle Pläne, alle Hoffnungen zunichte macht, das sie hilflos macht wie Kinder, auf daß sie auch Kindern gleich nach ihrem Vater rufen.... auf daß die Seele in ihrer Not sich Dem zuwendet, Der Herr und Schöpfer ist, auf daß sie Ihn um Erbarmen bittet und nun von Seiner erbarmenden Liebe erfaßt werden kann. Und also muß das Leid auf Erden Formen annehmen, die unüberwindlich erscheinen, damit die Ohnmacht des Menschen hervortritt und er nun im Gefühl äußerster Schwäche und Verlassenheit, in höchster Not und Gefahr Den anruft, Der ihm helfen kann.... Und sowie der Ruf aus dem Herzen kommt, wird ihm geholfen werden....
