Dissolving the soul shell.... necessity....

Anyone who closes himself off to the word of God is still surrounded by a shell which stops the effect of the divine word. He cannot feel anything, God's emanation of love certainly touches him, yet due to his own immaturity the soul is insensitive to it, and it remains so until it is active in love itself. The word of God is intended to stimulate activity in love, and therefore it first has to be received with the ear and conveyed to the heart through the human being's will. If the heart is now ready for love activity then the human being accepts the word of God ever more joyfully and hungrily; but if he is incapable of love then he rejects it, he closes himself off to its effect, and the soul remains in dense encasement to its own disadvantage. The strength of divine love, which is conveyed to the human being through the word, cannot penetrate this envelopment and consequently cannot awaken the spirit in the human being's soul to life either. The spirit of God cannot make contact with the spiritual spark in the human being and the human being always remains isolated from spiritual strength. Nevertheless, the word of God shall be offered to him again and again, his intellect shall be stimulated even though his heart remains inactive and unwilling. He shall be prompted to think by love being preached to him again and again. The soul of a rejecting person is to be regarded as an unfree, unhappy being which cannot help itself from its bondage alone, and it should be the constant endeavour of fellow human beings to bring help to this soul. The fact that this help consists of stimulating the human being into loving activity therefore results in the necessity to repeatedly bring the word of God to him in love and patience. Every opportunity is to be used, and a servant of God should never tire in this work, for the hardship of the souls is exceedingly great, which walk along in the night of the spirit and cannot register any progress in their higher development. People should be admonished to at least make an attempt to work in love so that they will feel the success in themselves and become aware of the strength which arises from loving activity. Then they will also listen more to the word of God and, even if they don't want to admit it yet, nevertheless think about it, and this is already a step forward. The strength of God must be supplied to the human being, since without it he is weak and unable to mature spiritually. As soon as the will to do good is present, strength flows to the human being through prayer. But if this will is first to be turned towards God, the strength must also flow to him because he is too weak to change himself and his will. And this strength is the divine word.... but it can only become effective when it is willingly accepted. And therefore the love of the fellow human being must come into play, for what is offered in love does not easily miss its effect.... The fellow human being must lovingly try to explain to the person the consequences of a loveless way of life and present to him the successes of a life of love which he can achieve himself if he does not close himself off to the word of God, and he himself must set a good example by practicing the life of love he preaches himself, by giving love and thereby awakening reciprocal love again, and he will achieve success by the fact that a good example encourages imitation. And once the human being has made the attempt, every good deed will result in further deeds of love, for then the strength from God will already be active in the human being.... love makes him happy, and now the human being will also open himself up to the word of God more and more, for it will gain life, it will no longer merely be words which touch the ear but will penetrate the heart.... the cover which surrounds the soul will become increasingly weaker until it is completely dissolved by the working of love and the spirit will then awaken to life. And now it can be constantly active.... now the word of God no longer penetrates the human being from outside but it is offered to him from within, from his spirit; the spirit teaches him and forcefully presents to him the necessity of a way of life according to God's will. The spirit impels him to activity, to work in love, the spirit guides him into truth.... He now receives the divine gospel through the spirit within him. And he will be instructed in the divine teaching of love as well as in the most profound spiritual truths, so that he can now acquire knowledge which is no longer imparted to him from outside but which is offered to him by divine love itself through the word which the spirit in the human being receives from God Himself and now imparts to the soul, which is extremely grateful as soon as it has shed its shell and entered into fusion with the divine spirit within itself. For only now does the human being live when soul and spirit work together....

La dissolution de l'enveloppe de l'âme - la nécessité

Celui qui se ferme à la Parole de Dieu, son âme est encore entourée de l'enveloppe qui arrête l'effet de la Parole divine. Il ne peut rien sentir, même si le Rayonnement de l'Amour de Dieu le touche probablement, mais l’immaturité de son âme le rend insensible à cela et il est ainsi depuis longtemps et il le restera tant que lui-même ne sera pas actif dans l'amour. La Parole de Dieu doit stimuler à l'activité d'amour mais pour cela elle doit d'abord être accueillie avec l'oreille et être guidée au cœur par la volonté de l'homme. Si maintenant le cœur est prêt pour agir dans l'amour, alors l'homme accueille avec une joie et une faim toujours plus grande la Parole de Dieu ; mais s'il est incapable d'aimer, alors il la refuse, il se ferme à son effet et l'âme reste dans une enveloppe épaisse pour son propre désavantage. La Force de l'Amour divin qui est guidé à l'homme à travers la Parole, ne peut pas compénétrer cette enveloppe et par conséquent elle ne peut pas réveiller à la vie l'esprit dans l'âme de l'homme. L'Esprit de Dieu ne peut pas se mettre en liaison avec l’étincelle spirituelle dans l'homme et celui-ci reste toujours isolé de la Force spirituelle. Malgré cela il doit de nouveau lui être offert la Parole de Dieu, son entendement doit être stimulé bien que le cœur reste inactif et indigne. L’amour doit lui être toujours prêché de nouveau. L'âme d'un homme qui refuse doit être considérée comme un être immature et malheureux qui ne peut pas s'aider tout seul à se libérer de ses liens, et la tendance du prochain doit toujours être d’apporter de l’aide à cette âme. Et cette aide consiste dans le fait de stimuler l'homme à agir dans l'amour, et provient de la nécessité de porter de nouveau près de lui la Parole de Dieu avec amour et patience. Chaque occasion doit être utilisée et un domestique de Dieu ne doit jamais se fatiguer dans ce travail, parce que la misère de l'âme qui marche dans la nuit de l'esprit et qui ne peut enregistrer aucun progrès dans son développement vers le Haut est très grande. Les hommes doivent être exhortés à faire au moins une tentative pour agir dans l'amour, pour qu'ils sentent sur eux le succès qui en découle et se rende compte de la Force qui se lève de leurs actions dans l'amour. Alors ils donneront aussi écoute à la Parole de Dieu et bien qu’ils ne veuillent pas encore l’admettre, ils y réfléchissent de toute façon et cela est déjà un pas en avant. La Force de Dieu doit être guidée à l'homme, vu que sans celle-ci il est faible et incapable de mûrir spirituellement. Mais dès qu'il y a la volonté pour le Bien, la Force afflue à l'homme à travers la prière. Mais si cette volonté doit être d'abord tournée vers Dieu, alors pour cela la Force doit aussi lui arriver, parce qu'il est trop faible pour se changer lui-même ainsi que sa volonté. Et cette Force est la Parole divine, mais elle peut devenir efficace seulement lorsqu’elle est accueillie volontairement. Et alors l'amour du prochain peut commencer, parce que ce qui est offert dans l'amour, ne manque pas facilement son effet. Le prochain doit chercher dans l'amour à éclaircir à l'homme les conséquences d'un chemin de vie sans amour et lui présenter les succès d'une vie dans l'amour que lui-même peut se procurer s'il ne se ferme pas à la Parole de Dieu et lui-même doit donner un bon exemple, en prêchant et en exerçant le bien, en donnant l’amour et avec cela il réveille de nouveau l'amour en retour et avec cela il obtiendra des succès, parce qu'un bon succès stimule à l'imitation. Et si l'homme a seulement fait une fois cette tentative, alors chaque bonne action a pour conséquence d’autres actions d'amour, parce qu'alors dans l'homme la Force de Dieu agit déjà, l'amour rend heureux et maintenant l'homme s'ouvre toujours davantage à la Parole de Dieu, parce que ce que la vie conquiert, ce ne sont plus seulement des mots qui touchent l'oreille, mais des mots qui pénètrent dans le cœur, l'enveloppe qui entoure l'âme devient toujours plus faible jusqu'à ce qu’elle se soit entièrement dissoute à travers des actions d'amour et maintenant l'esprit est réveillé à la vie. Et maintenant il peut être continuellement actif, maintenant la Parole de Dieu ne pénètre plus dans l'homme de l'extérieur, mais elle est offerte de l'intérieur, par son esprit ; celui-ci l'instruit et lui présente d'une manière insistante la nécessité d'un chemin de vie selon la Volonté de Dieu. L'esprit le pousse à l'activité, à agir dans l'amour, l'esprit le guide dans la Vérité. Maintenant il accueille le divin Evangile à travers l'esprit en lui. Et il est instruit dans la divine Doctrine de l'amour comme dans la Sagesse la plus profonde, de sorte que maintenant il puisse s’approprier un savoir qui ne lui est plus transmis de l'extérieur, mais que le divin Amour Lui-Même lui offre par la Parole que l'esprit qui est dans l'amour reçoit de Dieu Lui-Même, et maintenant il la transmet à l'âme qui est outre mesure reconnaissante, dès qu’elle peut se libérer de son enveloppe et entrer en union avec l'esprit divin en elle, parce que seulement maintenant l'homme vit, lorsque son âme et son esprit agissent ensemble.
