Spiritual activity must precede earthly activity....

You must be fully active for the kingdom of God. You must not put earthly activity before spiritual activity but always bear in mind that you want to serve God and therefore should fulfil His mission first before you think of the world and its demands. Every hour you devote to this spiritual task will earn you more blessings than your earthly activity can ever achieve. But in this one you will find support so that you will also master it without difficulty. Time is hurrying by, the spiritual battle is becoming increasingly more difficult, the earthly adversity is growing, and people are increasingly falling away from God and must be made aware of the consequences, they must be admonished and warned, and God has called you to speak on His behalf, to enlighten people and to try to guide their gaze into the spiritual kingdom. And therefore you must be constantly active and not let anything hold you back but always remain in contact with God and receive instructions from Him. You should not fear that you will neglect another task, for beings of light are constantly at your side which guide your earthly work and enable you to carry it out without resistance. But spiritually they support you to a far greater extent, and you must pay attention to their wise admonitions and not resist them if they urge you to spiritual activity by causing other thoughts to arise in you in a flash which are to stimulate you to spiritual activity. Surrender yourselves daily to the care of the heavenly father and pay attention to what the voice of the heart urges you to do. Detach yourselves from earth from time to time and turn to Him in prayer, Whose servant you want to be.... Increase your strength by receiving His word, whether directly or through mediation, surrender yourselves to its effect, and then set about the day's work and it will be blessed....

And even if you create and work on earth, without God's blessing nothing you start will succeed. But as soon as God blesses your activity it will be easy for you. But God's blessing is certain for you if you are first active for the kingdom of God, if you put your spiritual work before your earthly work, if you first consider your soul before you give your body its right. God needs you, who want to work for Him as His servants on earth, and He presents you with tasks whose fulfilment is incumbent upon you and dependent on your free will. And you should take this task seriously and not become lukewarm and lazy, for every day is significant and can bring great blessings to you and your fellow human beings if it is used spiritually in the right way. But if the world is put before this task then time will pass uselessly for the souls, for earthly achievements are worthless for eternity; earthly life, however, can end very quickly, and every earthly success is futile in view of death. Spiritual work, on the other hand, carries eternal values.... And you should always bear this in mind if you are undecided about which activity you should tackle. Use every hour and serve God by devoting yourselves to Him and accepting His word, by working for Him and for His kingdom, by instructing your fellow human beings and informing them of God's will.... And your spiritual as well as your earthly activity will earn you God's blessing, and you will be successful in whatever you start....

Geistige Tätigkeit muß der irdischen vorangestellt werden....

Vollauf tätig müsset ihr sein für das Reich Gottes. Ihr dürfet nicht die irdische Tätigkeit vor die geistige stellen, sondern ihr müsset immer dessen eingedenk sein, daß ihr Gott dienen wollt und darum Seinen Auftrag zuerst erfüllen sollt, bevor ihr der Welt und ihrer Anforderungen gedenket. Jede Stunde, die ihr dieser geistigen Aufgabe widmet, wird euch reicheren Segen eintragen, als eure irdische Tätigkeit je erzielen kann. In dieser aber werdet ihr Unterstützung finden, so daß ihr auch diese bewältigen werdet ohne Schwierigkeiten. Es eilet die Zeit dahin, es wird der geistige Kampf immer schwerer, die irdische Not wird größer, und die Menschen fallen immer mehr ab von Gott und müssen auf die Folgen hingewiesen werden, sie müssen ermahnt und gewarnt werden, und dazu hat Gott euch berufen, daß ihr an Seiner Stelle redet, daß ihr die Menschen aufkläret und ihren Blick ins geistige Reich zu leiten suchet. Und darum müsset ihr unentwegt tätig sein und euch von nichts zurückhalten lassen, sondern immer in Verbindung bleiben mit Gott und von Ihm die Weisungen entgegennehmen. Ihr dürfet nicht fürchten, daß ihr eine andere Arbeit damit vernachlässigt, denn euch stehen Lichtwesen ständig zur Seite, die eure Erdenarbeit lenken und euch befähigen, sie auszuführen ohne Widerstand. Doch geistig unterstützen sie euch in weit größerem Maße, und ihren weisen Ermahnungen müsset ihr Beachtung schenken und euch nicht sträuben, so sie euch zu geistiger Tätigkeit anhalten, indem sie in euch blitzartig andere Gedanken aufkommen lassen, die euch zur geistigen Tätigkeit anregen sollen. Übergebet euch täglich der Fürsorge des himmlischen Vaters, und achtet darauf, wozu euch die Stimme des Herzens drängt. Löset euch von der Erde des öfteren, und wendet euch im Gebet an Ihn, Dessen Diener ihr sein wollt.... Vermehret eure Kraft durch Entgegennahme Seines Wortes, sei es direkt oder durch Vermittlung, gebet euch seiner Wirkung hin, und dann begebet euch an das Tagewerk, und es wird gesegnet sein....

Und ob ihr auch schaffet und wirket auf Erden, ohne den Segen Gottes wird nichts gelingen, was ihr auch beginnet. Sowie aber Gott eure Tätigkeit segnet, geht sie euch leicht von der Hand. Der Segen Gottes aber ist euch gewiß, so ihr erst tätig seid für das Reich Gottes, so ihr die geistige Arbeit der irdischen voransetzt, so ihr zuerst eure Seele bedenket, ehe ihr dem Körper sein Recht einräumt. Gott benötigt euch, die ihr als Seine Diener auf Erden für Ihn arbeiten wollt, und Er stellt euch vor Aufgaben, deren Erfüllung euch obliegt und von eurem freien Willen abhängig ist. Und diese Aufgabe sollt ihr ernst nehmen und nicht lau und saumselig werden, denn ein jeder Tag ist bedeutsam, und er kann großen Segen bringen euch und euren Mitmenschen, so er geistig recht genützet wird. Wird aber die Welt dieser Aufgabe vorangestellt, dann vergeht die Zeit nutzlos für die Seelen, denn das irdisch Errungene ist wertlos für die Ewigkeit; das irdische Leben aber kann sehr schnell beendet sein, und jeder irdische Erfolg ist hinfällig angesichts des Todes. Die geistige Arbeit dagegen trägt Ewigkeitswerte ein.... Und dies sollt ihr immer bedenken, so ihr unschlüssig seid, welche Tätigkeit ihr in Angriff nehmen sollt. Nützet jede Stunde und dienet Gott, indem ihr euch Ihm hingebt und Sein Wort entgegennehmet, indem ihr für Ihn arbeitet und für Sein Reich, indem ihr die Mitmenschen belehret und ihnen Kunde gebt vom Willen Gottes.... Und es wird sowohl eure geistige wie auch eure irdische Tätigkeit den Segen Gottes euch eintragen, und ihr werdet erfolgreich sein, was ihr auch beginnet....
