Spiritual distress.... sorrow and tribulation....

People do not yet realize where they are drifting to, for their thoughts are too focused on earthly events to pay attention to their spiritual state. They fear for their earthly life and for the loss of earthly possessions. But they are indifferent to the salvation of their souls because they deny it and do not allow themselves to be instructed. Nor will the divine intervention teach them to think differently, for they will also try to explain it in earthly terms and never accept their lack of faith as an indirect cause. And this is why the adversity on earth has assumed such proportions, there is no human being who does not feel it, and the believer will not remain unaffected by it either, after all, his attitude towards it should motivate his fellow human beings to join his faith, which gives people the strength to endure everything God allows to come upon them. People lack this faith and consequently do not see a spiritual cause in their earthly adversity either, and consequently they do not remedy this adversity by changing their life, by living a way of life which is entirely in accordance with God's will. But they cannot be helped other than that suffering and affliction is their constant companion until they have detached themselves from earth and everything that concerns earth, until they think of their relationship with the creator of heaven and earth and try to improve this relationship of their own free will, only then will they become indifferent to earthly matter, death is before their eyes every day, and only then will they realize that their life must have a different meaning, and they try to fathom this meaning, they call themselves to account and seriously ask themselves whether and how they have fulfilled the divine commandments, for once they believe in a power before Whom they will have to answer one day they also acknowledge God's commandments, and this belief now comes alive in them, it impels them to inner changes and also to eager activity towards those who still think completely earthly and make no effort to change. But they will not always be successful. Where the desire for earthly possessions is too strong, the human being is distant from all spiritual thoughts, he is only interested in world events, he suffers unspeakably from them but only ever for worldly reasons, he never considers the hardship of those who are severely affected precisely because their souls are in great need. For divine love still wants to save them before it is too late, He still wants them to come to realization and therefore lets the earth go through external tribulation so that a few will still be saved whose hearts are not yet completely hardened....

Angustia espiritual.... Sufrimiento y tribulación....

Los hombres todavía no se dan cuenta de hacia dónde se dirigen porque sus pensamientos están demasiados centrados en los acontecimientos terrenales como para prestar atención a su estado espiritual. Temen por sus vidas terrenales y la pérdida de bienes terrenales. Pero son indiferentes a la salvación de sus almas porque la niegan y no se dejan instruir. Y la intervención divina no les enseñará de pensar de otra manera, porque intentarán explicarlo en términos terrenales y nunca permitirán que su falta de fe sea vista como una causa indirecta.

Y es por eso que la miseria en la tierra ha llegado a tal extensión que no hay una persona que la sienta, y el creyente tampoco quedará ajeno a ella, ya que su actitud ante ella debe motivar a sus semejantes a unirse a su fe, que da fuerza a las personas para soportar todo lo que Dios les trae. Las personas carecen de esta fe y, en consecuencia, no ven una causa en la angustia terrenal y, en consecuencia, no remedian esta angustia cambiando su estilo de vida que corresponde completamente a la voluntad de Dios.

Pero no se les puede ayudar más que dejar que el sufrimiento y la tribulación sean sus compañeros constantes hasta que se hayan separado de la tierra y de todo lo que concierne a la tierra, hasta que piensen en su relación con el Creador del cielo y de la tierra y traten de mejorar esta relación por su propia voluntad, sólo entonces se vuelven indiferentes a la materia terrenal, la muerte está ante sus ojos todos los días, y sólo ahora se dan cuenta de que su vida debe tener un significado diferente y tratan de sondear este significado, se hacen responsables a sí mismos y se preguntan seriamente si han cumplido los mandamientos divinos y cómo, porque tan pronto como creen en un Poder ante El cual algún día tendrán que responder, también reconocen los mandamientos de Dios, y esta fe ahora cobra vida en ellos, la impulsa a cambios internos y también a una actividad celosa sobre aquellos que todavía piensan completamente en lo terrenal y no hagan ningún esfuerzo para cambiar.

Pero no siempre tendrán éxito. Cuando el deseo por los bienes terrenales es demasiado fuerte, la persona se aleja de cualquier pensamiento espiritual, sólo se interesa por los acontecimientos mundiales, sufre indescriptiblemente por ellos, pero siempre sólo por razones mundanas, nunca piensa en las angustias del alma de aquellos que se ven gravemente afectados, precisamente porque sus almas están en gran angustia. Porque el amor divino todavía quiere salvarlas, quieren que lleguen todavía al conocimiento y por eso permite que la tierra pase tribulaciones externas para que aún se salven unos pocos cuyos corazones aún no están completamente endurecidos..
