Higher development in the hereafter.... working of love....

With the last embodiment as a human being the soul completes its course of development on earth and enters a new phase of development, which now only takes place spiritually and again according to the soul's will. Thus, in the beyond, just as on earth, the soul's will determines its relationship to love, for love is also the only path to progress in the spiritual kingdom. love, however, can only be practiced on other souls.... Souls in need of help must also cross a soul's path in the beyond to whom it can turn its willingness to help, otherwise it would never be able to mature spiritually. But the souls' plight in the beyond consists of the fact that they walk along in complete ignorance, in spiritual darkness, and according to their ignorance their surroundings are also desolate, poor and very distressing and they now feel unhappy and abandoned. And now the beings can help them, whose degree of maturity is higher, and reduce their misery by informing them of their state and of the possibility of an improvement of their situation. The soul must take the other souls' hardship to heart, it must try to encourage them to think, it must try to influence their will to undergo a task, and it must inform the soul that only the lack of love makes them suffer and that they can only attain a freer life in the beyond through loving activity and that this is also the only way to attain the degree of maturity in the beyond which was not achieved on earth. If the soul is willing, then it will also feel happiness in every little deed of love. It does not help the compassionate souls because it thereby improves its own state, but it does so from within only out of the urge to help them, and in the same proportion it itself is introduced to a deeper knowledge, which it now also learns to recognize through its activity of love. And now it constantly ascends, for it feels great happiness in every activity of love, and its state thereby becomes ever brighter and freer, it develops upwards because its own will has decided to be lovingly active and this is the only way to still reach maturity in the beyond....

Höherentwicklung im Jenseits.... Liebeswirken....

Mit der letzten Verkörperung als Mensch schließt die Seele ihren Entwicklungsgang auf Erden ab und tritt in eine neue Phase der Entwicklung ein, die nun nur geistig vor sich geht, und zwar wieder dem Willen der Seele gemäß. Es ist also im Jenseits genau wie auf Erden der Wille der Seele maßgebend, in welchem Verhältnis sie zur Liebe steht, denn die Liebe ist auch im geistigen Reich der einzige Weg zum Fortschritt. Die Liebe aber kann wieder nur an anderen Seelen geübt werden.... Es müssen hilfsbedürftige Seelen auch im Jenseits den Weg einer Seele kreuzen, denen diese ihre Hilfsbereitschaft zuwenden kann, ansonsten sie nimmermehr geistig reifen könnte. Die Notlage der Seelen im Jenseits aber besteht darin, daß diese in völliger Unkenntnis, in der Finsternis des Geistes, dahergehen und entsprechend ihrer Unkenntnis auch ihre Umgebung eine trostlose, dürftige und sie sehr quälende ist und sie sich nun unglücklich und verlassen fühlen. Und nun können die Wesen ihnen helfend beistehen, deren Reifegrad ein höherer ist, und ihnen ihre Not verringern, indem sie ihnen Kenntnis geben von ihrem Zustand und von der Möglichkeit einer Verbesserung ihrer Lage. Es muß der Seele die Not der anderen Seelen zu Herzen gehen, sie muß suchen, sie zum Denken anzuregen, sie muß den Willen derer zu beeinflussen suchen, daß sie sich einer Aufgabe unterziehen, und sie muß die Seele in Kenntnis setzen, daß nur der Mangel an Liebe sie leiden läßt und daß sie nur durch Liebetätigkeit zu einem freieren Leben im Jenseits kommen können und dies auch der einzige Weg ist, um den auf Erden nicht erreichten Reifegrad im Jenseits zu erlangen. Ist nun die Seele willig, dann empfindet sie auch selbst eine Beglückung in jeder kleinsten Liebetat. Sie hilft den mitleidenden Seelen nicht deshalb, weil sie ihren eigenen Zustand dadurch bessert, sondern sie tut es von innen heraus nur aus dem Drang, ihnen zu helfen, und im gleichen Verhältnis wird sie selbst eingeführt in ein tieferes Wissen, das sie nun auch erkennen lernt durch ihr Liebeswirken. Und nun steigt sie ständig aufwärts, denn sie empfindet eine große Beglückung in jeglicher Liebetätigkeit, und ihr Zustand wird dadurch immer heller und freier, sie entwickelt sich zur Höhe, weil der eigene Wille sich zur Liebetätigkeit entschlossen hat und dies der einzige Weg ist, auch im Jenseits noch zur Reife zu gelangen....
