False prophets.... Test the spirits....

The Lord warns you to 'Take heed that ye be not deceived by false prophets....'. He thereby wants to remind you to test everything first before you accept it as truth. 'Test the spirits whether they are of God....' Consequently, prophets will also emerge from the darkness who assume the right to spread their teachings in the world as truth. Then it will be up to people to scrutinise their sermons. And they will certainly be able to do so if they want to know the truth and appeal to God for enlightenment. For God gave them an indication as to what to look out for; He announced to them in advance that false prophets, false spirits, will express themselves. But they will deny Christ, they will not acknowledge Him as the Son of God, as the Redeemer of the world, they will doubt Jesus' divinity and therefore not live in love, for love recognises and professes Jesus Christ. And thus you will recognise false prophets by the fact that they act entirely without love, even though they seek to win people over for themselves with sweet words and enticing speeches. They promise to save the world and want to deprive it of its faith in Jesus Christ, they want to seduce you and of whom the Lord cautions you. They preach love yet their actions are completely devoid of love and their words are deceptive and hypocritical; it is not the spirit of God which speaks through them but the spirit of the one from below instead.... However, where Jesus Christ is professed in the world, that is, where the spirit of God expresses itself, you should listen to it.... For it will preach the same love which revealed itself to the world in Jesus Christ, it will show you the path to God, it will teach you the love which alone will lead to God.... it will try to impart the blessings of the act of Salvation upon you and constantly refer you to Jesus Christ, the divine Redeemer, Who came into the world in order to take your sins upon Himself through His death on the cross. Jesus Christ came in the flesh; He took the path on earth in order to show you how you can liberate yourselves from the bondage of the world, from the adversary's bondage.... He took the path on earth for your sake, for your Salvation.... You ought to follow him and to this end you must acknowledge Him.... Hence you can recognise a true prophet by the fact that he will lead you to Jesus Christ, in that case you can give credence to his words, for the spirit which testifies to Him is the spirit of God.... Yet reject the voice of the one who opposes Christ, for he speaks on behalf of God's adversary, who wants to lead people into sin and guides them towards their ruin.... Test the spirits to see whether they are of God.... However, if God sends His servants to you who testify to Him, then listen to them and comply with their teaching, for they are His representatives through whom He speaks to you Himself so that you will find the right path to Him....

Falsche Propheten.... Prüfet die Geister....

"Lasset euch nicht verführen von falschen Propheten....", so warnet euch der Herr, und Er will euch dadurch mahnen, alles zu prüfen, bevor ihr es annehmet als Wahrheit. "Prüfet die Geister, ob sie von Gott sind...." Folglich werden auch aus der Finsternis Propheten hervorgehen, die sich anmaßen, ihre Lehren als Wahrheit in der Welt zu verbreiten. Und den Menschen liegt es nun ob, ihre Reden zu prüfen. Und sie werden es auch können, so ihr Wille der Wahrheit zugewandt ist und sie Gott um Erleuchtung bitten. Denn Gott hat ihnen einen Hinweis gegeben, worauf sie achten sollen; Er hat es ihnen angekündigt, daß falsche Propheten, falsche Geister, sich äußern werden. Diese aber werden Christus verleugnen, sie werden Ihn nicht anerkennen als Gottes Sohn, als Erlöser der Welt, sie werden die Göttlichkeit Jesu in Frage stellen und sonach niemals in der Liebe stehen, denn die Liebe erkennet und bekennet Jesus Christus. Und daran werdet ihr die falschen Propheten erkennen, daß sie bar jeder Liebe handeln, wenngleich sie mit süßen Worten und verführerischen Reden die Menschen für sich zu gewinnen suchen. Sie versprechen der Welt das Heil und wollen ihr den Glauben an Jesus Christus rauben, und jene sind es, die euch verführen wollen und vor denen euch der Herr warnet. Sie predigen Liebe, aber ihr Handeln ist bar jeder Liebe, und ihre Reden sind falsch, sie sind voller Heuchelei; es ist nicht der Geist Gottes, der aus ihnen spricht, sondern der Geist dessen, der von unten ist.... Wo aber Christus bekannt wird vor der Welt, dort äußert sich auch der Geist Gottes, und diesen höret.... Denn er wird auch von der Liebe predigen, die sich in Jesus Christus der Welt offenbart hat, er wird euch den Weg zeigen zu Gott, er wird euch die Liebe lehren, die allein zu Gott führt.... er wird euch die Gnaden des Erlösungswerkes zu vermitteln suchen und euch ständig hinweisen auf Jesus Christus, den göttlichen Erlöser, Der zur Welt kam, um eure Sünden auf Sich zu nehmen durch Seinen Kreuzestod. Jesus Christus ist in das Fleisch gekommen, Er ist den Weg auf Erden gegangen, um euch zu zeigen, wie ihr euch frei machen könnt von den Banden der Welt, von den Banden des Widersachers.... Er ist den Weg auf Erden gegangen für euch, zu eurer Erlösung.... Ihr sollt Ihm nachfolgen, und dazu müsset ihr Ihn anerkennen.... Daran also erkennet ihr den rechten Propheten, daß er euch Jesum Christum zuführt, und dann könnet ihr seinen Worten Glauben schenken, denn der Geist, der für Ihn zeuget, ist der Geist aus Gott.... Doch ablehnen sollt ihr die Stimme dessen, der sich wider Christus stellt, denn er redet im Auftrag des Gegners von Gott, der die Menschen in die Sünde leiten will und sie dem Verderben entgegenführt.... Prüfet die Geister, ob sie von Gott sind.... Doch so Gott euch Seine Diener sendet, die für Ihn zeugen, so höret sie an und befolget ihre Lehren, denn sie sind Seine Vertreter, durch die Er Selbst zu euch redet, auf daß ihr den Weg zu Ihm findet....
