Mind and body seek to win the soul....
Spirit and body have one thing in common, that they want to possess the soul, that they seek to mould it, but in different ways. The body tries to mould the soul according to the world because the world itself seems to be the only thing worth striving for and therefore it tries to transfer its desire to the soul. The spirit, on the other hand, has a different desirable goal; it wants to occupy the spiritual realm and seeks to mould the soul according to this realm; it therefore seeks to shape it in a different way.... according to the divine will. Thus the divine will is opposed to the desire of the body.... The body strives for matter, whereas the spirit is completely removed from matter.... Its will and endeavours are only aimed at aligning itself with the eternal divinity, it only knows one desire, the union with God and the eternally light-filled state. Thus it also tries to determine the soul to join its desire, it tries to induce it to the same will, it draws the soul to itself, so to speak, and thus detaches it from the world, which for the body means giving up its desires, thus overcoming matter, the world, which is the opposite of the spiritual world. If the spirit succeeds in winning the soul for the spiritual kingdom, then the soul has passed its test of earthly life, for this means a turning of the will towards God and a turning away from the one who is lord of the world. The body still belongs to this world but if it joins the desire of the soul, thus willingly yields, if it wants to unite with the spirit, the spiritual substances, of which the body consists, are also ripe for the next moulding, and they cover the course of development in form considerably faster because they have given up their resistance. The spirit in man has overcome the body, and the body has declared itself defeated.... The body has left the soul to the spirit, thus the spirit has taken complete possession of the soul, the soul has united with the spirit. And now all thinking, feeling and willing is only determined by the spirit, and it must therefore be right, for the spirit is part of God and it will always determine the soul to do and think that which corresponds to God's will. And this is the state the soul should strive for.... in union with the spirit towards God and strive for union with Him in order to seek and find eternal bliss in the contemplation of God....

Mente y cuerpo intentan ganar el alma....
La mente y el cuerpo tienen una cosa en común: quieren ser dueños del alma, que buscan formarla, pero de diferentes maneras. El cuerpo busca formar el alma según el mundo, porque para el cuerpo el mundo parece ser el único objetivo para que vale luchar y, por lo tanto, busca transferir sus deseos al alma.
La mente, por otro lado, tiene otro objetivo deseable; Ella quiere ganar el reino mental y busca formar el alma correspondiendo a este reino, por lo tanto, intenta formar el alma de una manera diferente.... de acuerdo con la voluntad divina. Por lo tanto, la voluntad divina se opone al deseo del cuerpo....
El cuerpo anhela la materia, mientras que la mente está completamente alejada de la materia.... Su voluntad y aspiración solo está dedicada a la aproximación a la Deidad eterna, solo conoce un deseo, la unión con Dios y el estado permanente lleno de luz. Entonces busca determinar el alma, de unirse a su deseo, busca inducirlo a la misma voluntad, atrae el alma hasta cierto punto a sí misma y así lo aleja del mundo, lo que significa que el cuerpo abandona sus deseos, es decir vencer la materia, el mundo, que es lo opuesto al mundo mental.
Si la mente logra ganar el alma para el reino mental, entonces el alma ha aprobado la prueba de la vida en la tierra, porque significa dirigirse a la voluntad de Dios y un alejamiento de que es el dueño del mundo. El cuerpo todavía pertenece a este mundo, pero si se une al deseo del alma, de buena gana cede, si quiere unirse a la mente, también las sustancias mentales de la cuales consiste el cuerpo han madurados para la siguiente formación, y reducen el curso de desarrollo en la forma mucho más rápido porque han renunciado a su resistencia.
La mente en el hombre ha superado al cuerpo, y este se ha declarado vencido....
El cuerpo ha dejado el alma a la mente, entonces la mente ha tomado posesión del alma por completo, el alma se ha unido con la mente. Y ahora todo pensar, sentir y querer será determinado solo por la mente, y debe ser correcto, porque la mente en el hombre es parte de Dios y ella siempre determinará el alma en el pensar y hacer lo que corresponde a la voluntad divina. Y este es el estado por el que el alma debería luchar.... En la unión con la mente, hacia Dios y lograr la unificación con Él para buscar y encontrar la dicha eterna en la contemplación de Dios....
