God's love and mercy come to meet people....

And this is God's great mercy that He draws people to Himself through His grace, that He offers them His help because they fail without it, because they cannot find the way into the father's house if God does not come to meet them. The father wants to fetch His child home but the child does not recognize the father until He stretches out His hand and draws it to Himself. And this mercy is the outflow of His love. He seeks to lead back to Himself what has emerged from Him, for it is a part of Himself. It should turn to Him of its own free will, yet since it no longer recognizes its origin it is too weak and therefore needs His love and grace and His greater than great mercy.... And the coming great suffering is also a work of God's mercy, it is a grace which is intended to help people return to God. But people will not recognize it as mercy and therefore it will also remain ineffective.... Suffering will not be able to bend people, for they are far from God and do not know of His great love and mercy. They are His creatures and no longer recognize the creator, they are His children and do not long to return to the father's house because they walk along in spiritual blindness and do not want to accept the light that God sends them on their path through life out of great mercy....

하나님의 사랑과 긍휼이 사람들에게 임한다.

하나님이 자신의 은혜를 통해 사람들을 자신에게 이끌고, 사람들에게 도움을 제공하는 일은 하나님의 큰 긍휼이다. 왜냐면 이런 도움이 없이는 사람들이 실패하고, 하나님이 그들에게 다가가지 않으면, 그들이 아버지의 집으로 가는 길을 찾을 수 없기 때문이다. 아버지는 자신의 자녀를 집으로 데려가기를 원한다. 그러나 자녀는 아버지가 손을 뻗어, 자녀를 잡아당길 때까지 아버지를 깨닫지 못한다. 이런 긍휼은 아버지의 사랑의 발산이다. 아버지로부터 생성된 존재를 아버지는 다시 자신에게 인도하기를 원한다. 왜냐면 존재가 자신의 일부분이기 때문이다. 존재는 자신의 자유의지로 아버지에게 향해야 한다. 그러나 존재가 자신의 출처를 더 이상 깨닫지 못하기 때문에, 존재는 너무 약하다. 그러므로 존재는 아버지의 사랑과 은혜와 아버지의 큰 긍휼이 필요하다.

다가올 큰 고난도 또한 하나님의 긍휼의 역사이고, 사람들이 하나님께 돌아갈 수 있도록 도와야 하는 은혜이다. 그러나 사람들이 큰 고난을 은혜로 깨닫지 못한다. 그러므로 큰 고난이 효과를 내지 못할 것이다. 고난은 사람들이 순복하게 만들지 못할 것이다. 왜냐면 사람들이 하나님으로부터 멀리에 있고, 그들은 하나님의 큰 사랑과 긍휼에 대해 알지 못하기 때문이다. 그들은 하나님의 피조물이다. 그들은 더 이상 창조주를 깨닫지 못한다. 그들은 아버지의 자녀이다. 그들은 아버지의 집으로 돌아가기를 원하지 않는다. 왜냐면 그들이 영적인 눈이 먼 가운데 살고, 하나님이 큰 긍휼로 그들의 삶의 길에 그들에게 보낸 빛을 영접하기를 원하지 않기 때문이다.
