Will and grace.... (Which comes first?....)

Divine love seeks to enlighten people and people don’t accept the light.... However, the human being has free will, therefore he cannot forcibly be guided into realisation; thus the grace of God flowing to a person is not used because his will resists it. Consequently, the will must come first.... God’s grace can only become effective if the human being is willing to let it take effect in him. The world is in spiritual darkness, for although God constantly wants to help people with His grace, they pay no attention to it and remain dark and unenlightened.... For this reason people must learn in different ways how little they are enlightened by God’s spirit.... They themselves must come across contradictions on the part of those they presume to possess truth and light.... They must see themselves confronted by questions the answers to which are beyond their knowledge, so that they will then take the path towards realisation of their own accord. For God’s love and care constantly guide His living creations such that they can find the truth if the will for it arises in them. The gifts of the spirit are truly the only guarantee for pure truth, and anything that does not concur with it can unhesitatingly be rejected as falsehood. Spiritual gifts must be interconnected; they must provide clear and understandable explanations about God’s activity and reign in the universe, in the earthly as well as in the spiritual realm.... But they must also be accepted as such, that is, their divine origin must be acknowledged if they are to effect a person as a manifestation of God’s strength. For the gifts of the spirit are gifts of grace, offered by God’s greater than great love to people to make the path of ascent easier for them.... But these gifts of grace can only be effective if the human being accepts them as such, if he does not offer resistance by rejecting them but faithfully allows their effect on him, and this requires his will. If, however, he offers resistance, that is, if he inwardly rejects them, the effect is out of the question, otherwise a person would by guided into light, i.e., into knowledge, against his will, which would curtail his freedom of will. Grace is an endowment, thus it is a gift the human being is not entitled to; nevertheless, God expects people to respect His gift of grace, he expects it to be appealed for and gratefully received if it is to take effect as grace.... Consequently, it is also right to say that God’s grace comes first; however, if the grace is ineffective people will not feel it as grace either....

Voluntad y gracia.... (¿Cuál es la primera?)....

El amor divino busca llevar la luz a los hombres y ellos no aceptan la luz.... Pero la voluntad de hombre es libre y, por lo tanto, no puede ser conducida por la fuerza al conocimiento; Entonces la gracia que fluye hacia los hombres no se usa porque la voluntad se resista a ella. En consecuencia, la voluntad debe ser lo primero.... La gracia de Dios sólo puede hacerse efectiva si el ser humano está dispuesto a dejarse actuar en ella. Hay tinieblas espirituales en el mundo, porque aunque Dios quiere considerar constantemente a los seres humanos con Su gracia, ellos no la prestan atención y en ellos se queda oscuro y sin luz.... Y por eso los humanos tienen que aprender a reconocer de qué poco están iluminados por el Espíritu de Dios....

Ellos mismos deben encontrarse con contradicciones por parte de aquellos en lo que sospechan de la verdad y de la luz.... Deben encontrarse ante preguntas cuyas respuestas están más allá de su conocimiento, para que ahora ellos mismos tomen el camino que les da la entrada al conocimiento. Porque el amor y el cuidado de Dios guían constantemente a sus criaturas de tal manera que puedan llegar a la verdad cuando la voluntad se activa en ellas. Los dones del espíritu son verdaderamente la única garantía de la verdad pura, y cualquier cosa que no esté de acuerdo con esto puede ser rechazada con seguridad como mentira. Los dones del Espíritu deben estar en correlación entre sí; deben proveer información clara y comprensible sobre la obra y el gobierno de Dios en el universo, en el reino terrenal y espiritual....

Pero también deben ser recibidos como tales, es decir, el origen divino debe ser reconocido si quieren tener un efecto en los humanos como expresión del poder de Dios. Porque los dones del espíritu son dones de gracia, dados a los humanos por Dios con gran amor, para que el camino hacia la altura pueda recorrerse más fácilmente.... Sin embargo, estos dones de gracia sólo pueden ser efectivos si los humanos los aceptan como tales, si no ofrece resistencia alguna rechazándolos, sino que se entrega al efecto de ellos en la fe, para lo cual se requiere su voluntad. Pero si el ser humano se resiste, es decir, si se defiende interiormente al respecto, entonces el efecto está fuera de toda duda; de lo contrario, el ser humano sería llevado a la luz, es decir, al conocimiento, contra su voluntad y por lo tanto su libertad de voluntad sería restringida.

La gracia es un don, es decir, un don al que el hombre no tiene derecho alguno; Sin embargo, Dios exige de los hombres que Su don de gracia sea respetado, que sea solicitado y recibido con gratitud para que funcione como gracia.... Por consiguiente, también es correcto si se hace referencia a la gracia de Dios en primer lugar, pero si la gracia no es eficaz, tampoco es percibido por lo humanos como una gracia....
