Help in emotional distress the greatest work of love for our neighbour....

This is the most important commandment of neighbourly love, that you should not leave your fellow human beings in the misery of their souls. All earthly hardship comes to an end and is therefore not to be taken so seriously. But the hardship of the soul remains, even if the human being ends his earthly life, if he does not try to remedy it on earth. And where his own strength is not sufficient to do so, you should help him, otherwise you will not feel love in your heart and thus not fulfil the divine commandment of neighbourly love. For such a soul is weakened and unable to muster the strength to redeem itself. It is dark and without light, it is ignorant and unfree.... and you should change this state into a knowing, light-filled and free one. And therefore you have to teach these people, you have to give them a clear picture of how they should walk their earthly path, you have to introduce them to the same knowledge which makes you happy and which you have already absorbed within yourselves. The immersion into the spiritual gifts directly sent to you by God must make every soul happy, and conversely, a hapless state will mean spiritual hardship for the soul because there is no light and brightness in the human being. And thus, if your fellow human being languishes in spiritual darkness, you will be doing the greatest work of love if you show him ways and means to banish this darkness. Souls in need do not have the strength to approach the light, so the human being has to carry the light towards them. He must venture into the darkest areas in order to illuminate them with his light.... For light is a blessing even for those beings who are still completely ignorant, and light remedies the soul's adversity, thus people must be offered wisdom so that they will become knowledgeable and receive light and strength. This is the only way to help the soul to mature as long as it remains on earth. Admittedly, the human being feels little when the soul is in need, for he focuses more on the body's needs and is content if he can fulfil them. And because he does not feel the soul's need, he does nothing to help it. The person striving for spiritual possessions, however, knows about the soul's hardship in the beyond and about its lack of maturity, and he should use his knowledge and help the erring person by lovingly trying to persuade him to strive for spiritual possessions as well and by showing him the worthlessness of earthly possessions. Caring for the soul of one's fellow human being is the true exercise of neighbourly love, for it can save the soul from eternal ruin. And if a person asks for strength for this labour of love, he will never make a wrong request. He will receive strength to the same extent as he wants to use it for the salvation of souls....

Hilfe in seelischer Not größtes Liebeswerk am Nächsten....

Dies ist das wichtigste Gebot der Nächstenliebe, daß ihr die Mitmenschen nicht in der Not der Seele belassen sollt. Alle irdischen Nöte nehmen ein Ende und sind deshalb nicht so wichtig zu nehmen. Die Not der Seele aber bleibt bestehen, auch wenn der Mensch sein Erdenleben beschließt, so er sie nicht auf Erden zu beheben sucht. Und wo seine eigene Kraft dazu nicht ausreicht, dort sollt ihr ihm hilfreich zur Seite stehen, ansonsten ihr keine Liebe im Herzen empfindet und also das göttliche Gebot der Nächstenliebe nicht erfüllet. Denn eine solche Seele ist geschwächt und vermag nicht die Kraft aufzubringen zur Selbsterlösung. Sie ist dunkel und lichtlos, sie ist unwissend und unfrei.... und diesen Zustand sollt ihr zu einem wissenden, lichtvollen und freien wandeln. Und daher müsset ihr diese Menschen belehren, ihr müsset ihnen ein klares Bild geben, wie er seinen Erdenweg gehen soll, ihr müsset ihn einführen in das gleiche Wissen, das euch beglückt und das ihr schon in euch aufgenommen habt. Das Versenken in die von Gott euch direkt zugehenden Geistesgaben muß eine jede Seele beglücken, und umgekehrt wird ein glückloser Zustand für die Seele geistige Not bedeuten, weil es nicht licht und hell im Menschen ist. Und so also der Mitmensch in geistiger Dunkelheit schmachtet, tut ihr das größte Liebeswerk, wenn ihr ihm Mittel und Wege weiset, um diese Dunkelheit zu bannen. Seelen, die in Not sind, haben nicht die Kraft, sich dem Licht zu nähern, also muß der Mensch ihnen das Licht entgegentragen. Er muß sich in dunkelste Gebiete wagen, um diese mit seinem Licht zu erleuchten.... Denn Licht ist Wohltat auch für jene noch völlig unwissenden Wesen, und Licht behebt die Not der Seele, also muß den Menschen Weisheit geboten werden, auf daß sie wissend werden und Licht und Kraft empfangen. Es ist dies die einzige Möglichkeit, um der Seele zu helfen, daß sie ausreifet, solange sie auf Erden weilt. Zwar empfindet es der Mensch wenig, wenn die Seele sich in Not befindet, denn er lenkt sein Augenmerk mehr auf die Bedürfnisse des Körpers und begnügt sich, so er diese sich erfüllen kann. Und weil er die Not der Seele nicht spürt, tut er auch nichts, um ihr zu helfen. Der geistiges Gut anstrebende Mensch aber weiß um die Not der Seelen im Jenseits und um das Manko ihres Reifezustandes, und er soll sein Wissen nützen und dem irrenden Menschen helfen, indem er voller Liebe ihn zu bewegen suche, gleichfalls geistiges Gut anzustreben, und er ihm die Wertlosigkeit der irdischen Güter vor Augen stellt. Die Sorge um die Seele des Mitmenschen ist die wahre Ausübung der Nächstenliebe, denn sie kann die Seele vom ewigen Verderben erretten. Und so der Mensch um Kraft bittet für dieses Liebeswirken, wird er niemals eine Fehlbitte tun. Er wird Kraft empfangen im selben Ausmaße, wie er sie nützen will für das Heil der Seelen....
