Selfish love.... Not much willingness for redemptive work....

It can be said that there is not much willingness to accomplish redemptive work on earth since, due to their way of life, people have increased their distance from God and this ever expanding distance also signifies constantly greater weakness of will. But the distance from God also signifies lack of knowledge, and therefore the human being does not realise the necessity and the blessing of redemptive work; he is unaware of the consequences in the beyond and thus does nothing to reduce the state of being far-away from God. This is a certain constraint of will, for although the human being's will is free, the opponent nevertheless still exerts great power over him, namely, when a person's way of life does not correspond to divine commandments. The human being certainly has freedom of will, insofar that he can act and think as he likes.... because he can neither be forced by the evil power nor does God force him in any way.... But if he is evil-minded, then he voluntarily turns to the one who had once abused his will, and the latter will also take possession of the person's will who turns to him. Then it will be difficult for a person to use his free will, and this becomes increasingly more difficult the more power he grants God's adversary over himself. If a person wants to release himself from his power and also wants to release others or help them to do so, he must comply with divine will and, first of all, practise love. After all, love is the strength which counters the opponent, who has become totally heartless. Every work of love liberates the human being, since he detaches himself from the one who wanted to revoke God's order, who did not acknowledge God as the eternal Love and whose power goes hand in hand with absolute heartlessness. Redemptive work is therefore any work whose driving force is love. But nowadays people's every activity is determined by selfish love.... Each person only thinks of his own advantage in his work, yet the desire to help his fellow human beings with it is only rarely present. This is why little spiritual success comes from such work. Were people more connected to God their selfish love would constantly lessen and their love for other people would grow to the same extent. Then a person would feel urged from within to accomplish works of love.... he would only ever want to help and completely liberate himself from the control of the merciless control. However, since the will for redemptive work is only seldom to be found, the opponent has great power on earth. And this manifests itself such that he impels people into ever greater heartlessness and that they follow him willingly and almost surpass each other with works of destruction and feelings of hatred and revenge. And this consistently increases the distance from God until they are completely subject to the influence of evil again which would result in total spiritual ruin were God not to use His power and put to a stop to it.... He will once again revoke His adversary's power over the spiritual beings by banishing them into matter again for an infinitely long time to come....

L’amore dell’io – La scarsa volontà per l’attività salvifica

La volontà per l’attività salvifica sulla Terra è da chiamare molto scarsa, perché gli uomini hanno aumentato la loro lontananza da Dio tramite il loro modo di vivere e la distanza che aumenta sempre di più significa anche una sempre maggior debolezza di volontà. La lontananza da Dio significa però anche una mancanza di conoscenza e perciò l’uomo non conosce la necessità e la Benedizione dell’attività salvifica; non sa nulla delle conseguenze nell’aldilà e perciò non fa nulla per diminuire lo stato di lontananza da Dio. Questa è una certa catena della volontà, perché anche se la volontà dell’uomo è libera, l’avversario ha comunque ancora un gran potere su di lei, e questo quando il cammino di vita non corrisponde ai Comandamenti divini. L’uomo possiede bensì la libertà della volontà mentre può agire e pensare come gli compiace, perché non può essere costretto dal potere maligno, né Dio gli impone nessuna costrizione. Ma se il suo pensare e tendere è cattivo, allora si rivolge nella libera volontà a colui che una volta ha abusato della sua volontà e costui si appropria ora anche della volontà di colui, che si rivolge a lui. Ed ora all’uomo è difficile usare la libera volontà e questo diventa sempre più difficile, quanto più potere concede all’avversario di Dio su di sé. Se ora l’uomo vuole diventare libero dal suo potere e liberare anche altri oppure essere loro d’aiuto, allora deve fare ciò che corrisponde alla Volontà divina, e dapprima deve esercitare l’amore, perché l’amore è la Forza opposta dell’avversario, il quale è diventato totalmente disamore. Ogni opera d’amore rende l’uomo libero, perché ora si distacca da colui che voleva rovesciare l’Ordine di Dio, il quale non riconosceva Dio come l’eterno Amore ed il cuoi potere è un dominare nel pienissimo disamore. L’attività salvifica è quindi ogni attività la cui forza di spinta è l’amore. Nel tempo attuale però è determinante l’amore dell’io per ogni attività dell’uomo. Ogni uomo nel suo lavoro pensa soltanto al suo vantaggio, ma esiste solo raramente il desiderio di aiutare con ciò il prossimo. Perciò un tale lavoro comporta poco successo spirituale. Se gli uomini fossero più legati a Dio, allora l’amore per l’io diventerebbe sempre più debole e nella stessa misura aumenterebbe l’amore per il prossimo. Allora l’uomo verrebbe spinto dall’interiore ad opere d’amore, vorrebbe sempre soltanto voler aiutare e diventerebbe totalmente libero dal potere della potenza disamorevole. Ma dato che la volontà per l’attività salvifica è soltanto raramente da trovare, l’avversario ha un gran potere sulla Terra. Questo si manifesta nel fatto che spinge gli uomini a seguirlo volontariamente e si superano quasi in opere di distruzione ed in sentimenti d’odio e di vendetta. E la lontananza da Dio diventa sempre più grande, finché sono di nuovo caduti del tutto sotto l’influenza del male e questo significa un totale crollo spirituale, a cui Dio però impone un arresto attraverso il Suo Potere. Egli svincola al Suo avversario nuovamente il potere sullo spirituale, mentre lega questo di nuovo nella forma per un tempo inimmaginabilmente lungo.
