Spiritual connection with God antidote for the world....

There is no better antidote to the world and its pleasures than spiritual union with God. Whoever strives for the latter no longer desires the world, for he has now found something that is worth striving for and brings him everlasting good. Spiritual union with God has little to do with the body, for every physical desire is disregarded because it is an obstacle to intimate contact with God. For the body belongs to the world. The body must therefore also surrender itself and now do what pleases God if it wants to mould itself in such a way that God takes possession of it in order to work through it. God deems such activity necessary; God knows that faith is in great danger of being wiped out and He must revive it through extraordinary activity. For extraordinary work should lead to God. The greatest blessing is the closeness to God, just as the distance from God, which becomes apparent through faithlessness, is the greatest disadvantage for the human soul. For then the body dominates the soul, it demands unrestricted enjoyment of life and finds fulfilment, and the human being lives his earthly life without God, so to speak. And his spirit is gagged and this means spiritual stagnation, if not a decline in his development. The separation from earthly pleasures and comforts and the giving up of earthly desires requires self-conquest, but on the other hand has the greatest spiritual success, for to the same extent as the human being sacrifices, he also receives, but something far more precious, because it is imperishable good which he exchanges for earthly goods. And he only realizes what this means when he dies, when he can take this good into eternity, where everything earthly remains behind. Spiritual union with God is the beginning of the blissful state which outlasts the earthly world, for the ultimate goal of all spiritual endeavour is union with God, and for anyone who already strives for this union on earth the world has lost its appeal, and this has the same significance as having escaped the adversary's power. Letting the human being fall into a spiritual low is his incessant endeavour, and if the human will is too weak he will succeed in resisting the body's desire. The human being has to strive for spiritual union with God, then he will also receive the strength to become master of his body's desires. And supreme spiritual success will reward his will. What the body gives, the soul will receive, and this will outlast all earthly....

Comunione spirituale con Dio – Antidoto per il mondo

Non esiste nessun antidoto migliore per il mondo e le sue gioie che l’unificazione spirituale con Dio. Chi tende a questa, il suo desiderio non è più rivolto al mondo, perché ora ha trovato qualcosa che gli è desiderabile e gli procura del bene imperituro. L’unificazione spirituale con Dio significa poco per il corpo, perché ogni desiderare corporeo rimane inosservato, perché è di ostacolo alla comunione con Dio, perché il corpo appartiene al mondo. Quindi pure il corpo deve sacrificarsi ed oramai fare ciò che compiace a Dio, se vuole formarsi in modo che Dio prenda possesso di lui, per agire tramite lui. Dio considera necessario un tale Agire, Dio sa che la fede è nel massimo pericolo di essere estirpata, ed Egli deve farla rivivere attraverso un Agire insolito, perché dell’agire straordinario deve condurre a Dio. La Benedizione più grande è l’unificazione con Dio così come la lontananza da Dio, che si manifesta tramite l’assenza di fede, è lo svantaggio più grande per l’anima umana. Perché allora il corpo domina l’anima, pretende illimitati godimenti di vita e trova l’adempimento, e l’uomo vive la sua vita terrena in certo qual modo senza Dio ed il suo spirito è imbavagliato e questo significa un arresto spirituale, se non è una retrocessione del suo sviluppo. La separazione di gioie e piaceri terreni e la rinuncia del desiderare terreno richiede l’auto superamento, ma d’altra parte ha il più grande successo spirituale, perché nella stessa misura come l’uomo sacrifica, riceve anche, ma qualcosa di molto più prezioso, perché è un bene imperituro, che lui scambia con i beni terreni. E quello che significa lo riconosce solamente al suo decesso, quando può portare con sè questo bene nell’Eternità, dove tutto il terreno rimane indietro. Il collegamento spirituale con Dio è l’inizio dello stato felice, che dura oltre il mondo terreno, perché la meta finale di tutto il tendere spirituale è l’unificazione con Dio, e chi tende a questa unificazione già sulla Terra, per costui il mondo ha perduto il suo fascino, e questo ha lo stesso significato, come essere sfuggito al potere dell’avversario. Il suo inaudito tendere è di lasciar cadere in un basso stato spirituale, e gli riesce, quando la volontà umana è troppo debole di resistere ai desideri del corpo. L’uomo deve tendere all’unificazione spirituale con Dio, allora gli viene anche trasmessa la Forza, di diventare padrone dei desideri del corpo. E la sua volontà viene ricompensata con il più alto successo spirituale. Quello a cui il corpo rinuncia, lo riceverà l’anima, e questo durerà oltre a tutto il terreno.
