Spiritual connection with God antidote for the world....

There is no better antidote to the world and its pleasures than spiritual union with God. Whoever strives for the latter no longer desires the world, for he has now found something that is worth striving for and brings him everlasting good. Spiritual union with God has little to do with the body, for every physical desire is disregarded because it is an obstacle to intimate contact with God. For the body belongs to the world. The body must therefore also surrender itself and now do what pleases God if it wants to mould itself in such a way that God takes possession of it in order to work through it. God deems such activity necessary; God knows that faith is in great danger of being wiped out and He must revive it through extraordinary activity. For extraordinary work should lead to God. The greatest blessing is the closeness to God, just as the distance from God, which becomes apparent through faithlessness, is the greatest disadvantage for the human soul. For then the body dominates the soul, it demands unrestricted enjoyment of life and finds fulfilment, and the human being lives his earthly life without God, so to speak. And his spirit is gagged and this means spiritual stagnation, if not a decline in his development. The separation from earthly pleasures and comforts and the giving up of earthly desires requires self-conquest, but on the other hand has the greatest spiritual success, for to the same extent as the human being sacrifices, he also receives, but something far more precious, because it is imperishable good which he exchanges for earthly goods. And he only realizes what this means when he dies, when he can take this good into eternity, where everything earthly remains behind. Spiritual union with God is the beginning of the blissful state which outlasts the earthly world, for the ultimate goal of all spiritual endeavour is union with God, and for anyone who already strives for this union on earth the world has lost its appeal, and this has the same significance as having escaped the adversary's power. Letting the human being fall into a spiritual low is his incessant endeavour, and if the human will is too weak he will succeed in resisting the body's desire. The human being has to strive for spiritual union with God, then he will also receive the strength to become master of his body's desires. And supreme spiritual success will reward his will. What the body gives, the soul will receive, and this will outlast all earthly....

Comunión espiritual con Dios antídoto para el mundo....

No hay mejor antídoto contra el mundo y sus alegrías que la comunión espiritual con Dios. Quien se esfuerza por este último, su deseo ya no es del mundo, porque ahora ha encontrado algo por lo que vale la pena esforzarse y que le trae un bien imperecedero. La comunión espiritual con Dios tiene poco beneficio para el cuerpo, porque todo deseo físico se ignora porque es un obstáculo para la relación íntima con Dios. Porque el cuerpo pertenece al mundo.

Así también el cuerpo debe entregarse y hacer lo que agrada a Dios, si quiere formarse de tal manera que Dios se apodere del cuerpo para poder obrar a través de éste. Dios considera tal obra como necesaria; Dios sabe que la fe corre gran peligro de ser erradicada y debe reavivarla a través de una obra extraordinaria. Porque la obra extraordinaria debe llevar a Dios.

La mayor bendición es la comunión con Dios, así como la distancia de Dios, que se manifiesta por la falta de fe, es la mayor desventaja para el alma humana. Porque entonces el cuerpo domina al alma, exige un disfrute ilimitado de la vida y encuentra satisfacción, y el hombre vive su vida terrena, por así decirlo, sin Dios. Y su espíritu está amordazado, y esto significa estancamiento espiritual, si no una disminución de su desarrollo.

Separarse de goces y comodidades terrenales y renunciar a los deseos terrenales requiere auto-superación, pero por otro lado tiene el mayor éxito espiritual, porque en la misma medida en que un ser humano sacrifica, también recibe algo mucho más valioso, porque es un bien imperecedero que intercambia por bienes terrenales. Y sólo se da cuenta de lo que eso significa cuando muere, cuando puede llevar esta propiedad a la eternidad, donde todo lo terrenal queda atrás.

La comunión espiritual con Dios es el comienzo del estado feliz que dura más que el mundo terrenal, porque el objetivo final de todo esfuerzo espiritual es la unificación con Dios, y quienquiera que se esfuerce por lograr esta comunión ya en la Tierra, para éste el mundo ya ha perdido su atractivo, y esto tiene el mismo significado que haber escapado del poder del adversario.

Dejar que los humanos caigan en la depresión espiritual es su esfuerzo incesante, y lo logra cuando la voluntad humana es demasiado débil para resistir a los deseos del cuerpo. El humano debe esforzarse por lograr una comunión espiritual con Dios, entonces también se le dará la fuerza de dominar los deseos del cuerpo. Y el mayor éxito espiritual recompensará su voluntad. Lo que el cuerpo entrega, el alma lo recibirá, y esto durará más que todo lo terrenal....
