Unification of soul and spirit through love....

You will feel the strength which God imparts to you through His word less physically and yet you will become free, for the soul's shackles will be broken as a result and it will be able to hear the voice of the spirit within itself. You should constantly struggle and ask for the grant of strength, and therefore the body will not feel it, so that the human being will not become lax in his endeavours. If he requests strength from God, he will inevitably receive it, and he who requests strength from God can never be regressive. For God will not let anyone ask in vain for a gift that will benefit the soul. If you humans receive the strength from God in the form of His word, then the spirit in you has also awakened and can make itself understood by the soul, i.e., the soul is able to receive the spirit's instructions. It is therefore already in a certain freedom and uses this freedom to unite with the spirit, which also wants to unite with it. Only when the soul is united with the spirit has it reached the degree of maturity that results in a light-filled beyond. Soul and spirit were not united at the beginning of embodiment. The soul knew nothing of the divine spark it harboured within itself. It only became aware of it through the activity of love because only then did the spirit express itself. The goal and purpose of life on earth is the unification of soul and spirit.... which can only be achieved through love. Loving activity gives strength to the soul, thus it can feel the working of the spirit.... it can receive its teachings, it grasps the wisdom imparted to it and can therefore also pass it on. All of this requires strength, which it can request from God through heartfelt prayer or acquire itself through constant labour of love, through which it likewise strives for strength from God. The spirit in a person will always motivate him to love, as he himself is a divine spark of love.... If the soul is now active in love, it unites itself intimately with the spark of love within itself, and the more intimate the union of soul and spirit is, the freer the spirit becomes, which uses the freedom to receive spiritual good from spiritual regions, which it then feeds back to the soul. And everything is strength from God.... And thus divine strength flows to the human being with every transmission of spiritual knowledge. It causes the soul and the spirit to unite and strive for the same.... union with God.... Although the bond between soul and spirit is not perceptibly realized by the human being, he also increasingly joins the spirit's desire, i.e. he does not hinder the soul if it wants to enter into union with the spirit within himself and submits to its will without resistance. For now the spirit dominates the human being's thinking, feeling and willing and his earthly life must now be an ascent to the heights....

사랑을 행함으로 이뤄지는 혼과 영의 연합.

너희는 하나님이 자신의 말씀을 통해 주는 힘을 육체적으로는 적게 느낀다. 그럴지라도 너희에게 주는 힘을 느낀다. 그럼에도 불구하고 너희는 자유롭게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 힘을 통해 혼의 사슬이 파괴되고, 혼이 자신 안에서 영의 음성을 들을 수 있게 되기 때문이다. 너희는 끊임없이 투쟁을 해야 하고, 힘의 공급을 구해야 한다. 인간이 추구하는 일에 소홀해지지 않도록, 몸이 이를 느끼지 못한다. 그가 하나님에게 힘을 구하면, 그는 필연적으로 힘을 받게 될 것이다. 하나님으로부터 오는 힘을 구하는 사람은 절대로 퇴보할 수 없다. 왜냐면 하나님은 누구에게도 혼에 유익한 선물을 헛되이 구하게 하지 않을 것이기 때문이다. 하나님의 힘이 하나님의 말씀의 형태로 너희 사람들에게 주어지면, 너희 안에 있는 영도 또한 깨어나고, 혼을 이해할 수 있게 해줄 수 있다. 다시 말해 혼은 영의 가르침을 받을 능력을 갖게 된다. 그러므로 혼은 이미 어떤 자유한 가운데 있고, 이 자유를 영과 연합하기 위해 사용한다. 영은 마찬가지로 혼과 하나가 되기를 원한다. 혼이 영과 하나가 되면, 비로소 혼은 빛이 충만한 저세상으로 가는 성숙도에 도달하게 된다.

혼과 영은 육신을 입을 당시에는 서로 연합이 되지 않았다. 혼은 자신 안에 있는 하나님의 불씨에 대해 전혀 몰랐다. 혼은 사랑을 행함으로 영의 불씨를 알게 된다. 왜냐하면 영이 이제 자신을 표현하기 때문이다. 이 땅의 삶의 목표와 목적은 혼과 영의 결합이다. 이런 연합은 사랑을 통해서만 이룰 수 있다. 사랑을 행하는 일이 혼에게 힘을 주고, 그러므로 혼은 영의 역사를 느낄 수 있게 된다. 혼은 영의 가르침을 받을 수 있고, 자신에게 주어진 지혜를 이해한다. 그러므로 혼은 또한 지혜를 전할 수 있다.

이 모든 일에 힘이 필요하고, 이런 힘을 긴밀한 기도를 통해 하나님께 구하거나 또는 지속적으로 사랑을 행함으로 스스로 얻을 수 있다. 이런 사랑을 행함으로 혼은 하나님께 힘을 얻으려고 노력한다. 사람 안의 영은 항상 사랑을 추구한다. 왜냐면 영 자신이 하나님의 사랑의 불씨이기 때문이다. 혼이 이제 사랑을 행한다면, 혼은 이제 자신 안의 사랑의 불씨와 긴밀하게 하나가 된다. 혼과 영이 더 긴밀하게 연합이 될수록, 영이 더 자유롭게 된다. 영은 이런 자유를 영의 영역에서 영적인 재물을 얻는 일에 사용하고, 이제 영적인 재물을 혼에게 준다.

모든 것이 하나님으로부터 온 힘이다. 그러므로 영적인 재물이 전해질 때마다, 하나님의 힘이 사람에게 흘러간다. 하나님의 힘은 혼과 영이 하나가 되게 하고, 하나님과 하나가 되기 위한 같은 추구를 하게 한다. 비록 사람이 혼과 영의 연결을 느낄 수 있게 의식하지 못할지라도, 그는 또한 항상 더욱 더 영의 갈망에 동의하게 된다. 다시 말해 혼이 자신 안의 영과 연결되기 원할 때, 그는 혼을 방해하지 않고, 혼의 의지를 저항하지 않고 따른다. 왜냐면 이제 영이 사람의 생각과 느낌과 의지를 지배하기 때문이다. 그의 이 땅의 삶은 이제 높은 곳을 향해 성장해야만 한다.
