Lawfulness in the awakening of nature....

Change in nature takes place in a certain order. As a result, people are inclined to believe that the laws of nature are the same.... a certain order in time, space and form that always repeats itself. And this regularity is probably something that gives him food for thought, but which he cannot explain. He does not accept the only explanation that a supremely perfect being has given these laws according to His will and that everything in nature must now conform to these laws, that nothing arises by itself, so to speak, but is only brought about by the will of this supreme being. But again, no other explanation for the laws of nature can be given to him. They therefore reject any thought of it or any explanation of it....

People do not find the connection between life and becoming in nature and God. For them the process of awakening in nature has become something quite self-evident that it does not stimulate them to think how the elemental force, the highest and most perfect being, relates to it. And it is precisely this indifference which man displays towards the greatest question which makes it impossible to have an enlightening effect on people's thoughts, for no answer can be given until the question has been asked. For God attaches this condition to the distribution of truth, that it is desired. Consequently, a problem must first occupy man's thoughts before the answer is given. The forces of nature are indeed effective in themselves, but always only the outflow of divine love; i.e., everything that God sends out into the universe in light and strength expresses itself visibly in the very works of creation that they are in constant transformation.... This is most clearly recognizable in the plant world, which constantly renews itself over a certain period of time and does so in the most varied of ways, so that people would have very clear evidence of God's activity if they paid attention to this reshaping and wanted to find a reason for it. Everything certainly comes into being before people's eyes and they enjoy it, yet their will is not strong enough to fathom the process as far as this is possible. They do not realize that everything that comes into being or is developing is dependent on a force, otherwise they would have to affirm the source of the force, but they would rather reject it. Every expression of force presupposes a source of force; the source of force, however, must always be sought outside it, since the radiation of force is always sent into the vicinity of the source of force. The regularity of creation, however, suggests a planned designer, for nothing is arbitrary but in the most perfect order, whatever the human eye is able to see. Every change in nature takes place in a regularity that must betray a wise legislator and therefore a most perfect lawgiver. And if a person merely pays attention to the ever-recurring creations in nature he should be certain that there must be a controller of what has come into being, and thus it should be easy for him to believe in a supreme divine being, for otherwise the thinking human being would not be able to give himself an explanation which would be sufficient and credible to accept it as truth....

A legalidade no despertar da natureza....

A mudança na natureza ocorre em uma determinada ordem. O homem está assim inclinado a acreditar que a mesma coisa deve ser entendida pelas leis da natureza.... uma certa ordem no tempo, espaço e forma, que é sempre repetida. E essa regularidade é algo que o faz pensar, mas que ele não consegue explicar a si mesmo. Ele não aceita a única explicação, que um Ser supremamente perfeito deu essas leis de acordo com a Sua vontade e que agora tudo na natureza tem de se adaptar a essas leis, que até certo ponto nada surge por si mesmo, mas só é trazido pela vontade desse Ser supremo. Mas mais uma vez não lhe pode ser dada outra explicação para a legalidade na natureza. Por isso, rejeitam qualquer pensamento ou explicação sobre isso....

As pessoas não encontram a ligação entre a vida e o desenvolvimento na natureza e Deus. Para eles, o processo de despertar na natureza tornou-se algo bastante evidente, de modo que não os estimula a pensar como o poder elementar, o ser mais elevado e perfeito, se relaciona com ele. E precisamente essa indiferença que o homem demonstra em relação à maior pergunta torna impossível ter um efeito revelador nos pensamentos das pessoas, pois nenhuma resposta pode ser dada antes de a pergunta ter sido feita. Pois Deus atribui esta condição à distribuição da verdade, que é desejada. Consequentemente, um problema deve primeiro ocupar os pensamentos das pessoas antes que a resposta seja dada. As forças da natureza são certamente eficazes em si mesmas, mas são apenas a efusão do amor divino; isto é, tudo o que Deus envia para o universo em luz e força se expressa visivelmente nas próprias obras da criação que estão em constante transformação.... Isto é mais claramente reconhecível no mundo vegetal, que se renova constantemente num determinado tempo e isto acontece da forma mais diversa, de modo que as pessoas teriam provas muito claras do trabalho de Deus se prestassem atenção a esta remodelação e quisessem procurar uma razão para ela. Tudo certamente surge diante dos olhos das pessoas e elas gostam, mas a sua vontade não é forte o suficiente para entender o processo, na medida do possível. Eles não se dão conta de que tudo o que se torna realidade depende de uma força, caso contrário teriam de afirmar o doador da força, mas prefeririam rejeitar tal doador. Toda manifestação de força pressupõe uma fonte de força; mas a fonte de força deve ser sempre procurada fora dela, pois a radiação da força é sempre enviada para a periferia da fonte de força. A regularidade da criação, porém, sugere um criador planejado, pois nada é arbitrário, mas na ordem mais perfeita, o que o olho humano também é capaz de ver. Toda mudança na natureza ocorre em uma regularidade que deve trair uma legislação sábia e, portanto, um legislador muito perfeito. E se apenas uma pessoa presta atenção às criações sempre recorrentes na natureza, deve ter a certeza de que deve haver um controlador do que veio à existência, e assim deve ser fácil para ela acreditar em um Ser Deus supremo, pois de outra forma a pessoa pensante não seria capaz de dar a si mesma uma explicação que seria suficiente e credível para aceitá-la como verdade.
