Spiritual turning point.... right attitude towards God....

The upheaval that will take place both spiritually and earthly is so enormous that we can speak of a turning point in time. The attitude of the whole of humanity towards God has brought it about that a divine intervention can now be expected. There is the necessity of a free decision of men; they must come into such trouble that they are forced to approach a higher being for help, provided they still have a little faith in this highest being in them. And now it will be decided who still has enough faith to take refuge in a higher power.... The right attitude towards God is the only decisive factor in life on earth. And humanity is now in the greatest danger because its attitude towards God is tantamount to rejection. Only something that touches them exceptionally can make them find the right attitude towards Him. And this will always be a turning point in the life of the individual when he spiritually awakens, i.e. when he comes into closer contact with the eternal deity through conscious reflection on infinity and its creator or by calling upon the highest God-being for help. God-willed is the right relationship with Him established of his own accord, that the human being seeks and struggles for realization, that he tries to come close to his creator. However, where the human being's own impulse is lacking, God wants to come to his aid by directing his destiny such that he needs help and is then prompted to turn to Him for help, so that the connection between the human being and God is also established, even if only as a result of an emergency situation. However, the human being's thoughts are always directed into other directions, and this alone is a spiritual turning point, for the human being effectively distances himself from earthly things and pays more attention to the unfathomable.... he ponders the meaning and purpose of existence, he gains a different view of his life and yet his thoughts wander into the realm of the eternal. And now it will again be decisive to what extent earthly hardship stimulates people to love each other.... spiritual realization will be correspondingly important, for anyone who shows love to his fellow human being will also receive God's love and draw him to Himself. And that is why earthly adversity must always result in a certain change of thinking, because it can only be remedied through loving activity. And this is the last means God can use in order to educate humanity to love, thus enabling it to progress spiritually....

Geistiger Wendepunkt.... Rechte Einstellung zu Gott....

So gewaltig ist die Umwälzung, die sowohl geistig als auch irdisch sich vollziehen wird, daß von einer Zeitenwende gesprochen werden kann. Die Einstellung der gesamten Menschheit zu Gott hat es zuwege gebracht, daß nun ein göttlicher Eingriff zu erwarten ist. Es liegt die Notwendigkeit einer freien Entscheidung der Menschen vor; sie müssen in eine solche Not kommen, daß sie gezwungen sind, ein höheres Wesen um Hilfe anzugehen, sofern sie noch ein wenig Glauben an dieses höchste Wesen in sich tragen. Und nun wird es sich entscheiden, wer noch so viel Glauben hat, um Zuflucht zu nehmen bei einer höheren Gewalt.... Die rechte Stellungnahme zu Gott ist das Allein-Entscheidende des Erdenlebenswandels. Und es ist die Menschheit nun in größter Gefahr, weil ihre Einstellung zu Gott gleichbedeutend ist mit Ablehnung. Nur etwas sie außergewöhnlich Berührendes kann sie die rechte Einstellung zu Ihm finden lassen. Und es wird dies immer als ein Wendepunkt im Leben des einzelnen zu verzeichnen sein, so er geistig erwacht, d.h., so er in nähere Berührung tritt zur ewigen Gottheit durch bewußtes Nachdenken über die Unendlichkeit und ihren Schöpfer oder durch Anrufung des höchsten Gottwesens um Hilfe. Gott-gewollt ist das aus eigenem Antrieb hergestellte rechte Verhältnis zu Ihm, daß der Mensch sucht und um Erkenntnis ringt, daß er seinem Schöpfer nahezukommen sucht. Wo jedoch der eigene Antrieb fehlt, dort will Gott den Menschen zu Hilfe kommen, indem Er ihr Geschick so lenkt, daß sie Hilfe benötigen und sie nun veranlaßt sind, sich hilfeflehend an Ihn zu wenden, so daß also die Verbindung von den Menschen zu Gott auch hergestellt wird, wenn auch nur als Folge einer Notlage. Es wird aber immer das Denken des Menschen in andere Bahnen gelenkt, und schon dies ist ein geistiger Wendepunkt, denn es entfernt sich der Mensch gewissermaßen von zu irdischen Dingen und schenkt dem Unergründlichen mehr Beachtung.... er grübelt über den Sinn und Zweck des Daseins nach, er gewinnt eine andere Anschauung von seinem Leben und schweift doch gedanklich in das Reich des Ewigen. Und nun wird wieder ausschlaggebend sein, wieweit irdische Not die Menschen untereinander zur Liebetätigkeit anregt.... es wird dementsprechend auch das geistige Erkennen sein, denn wer dem Mitmenschen Liebes erweist, dem wird auch Gott Seine Liebe schenken und ihn zu Sich ziehen. Und darum muß irdische Not immer eine gewisse Umänderung des Denkens nach sich ziehen, weil sie eben nur durch Liebetätigkeit behoben werden kann. Und es ist dies das letzte Mittel, das Gott anwenden kann, um die Menschheit zur Liebe zu erziehen, um ihr also dadurch geistigen Fortschritt zu ermöglichen....
