Forced direction of thought....

The human being finds himself in lack of freedom of thought if wisdoms are transferred to him which are human results, that is, if intellectually acquired knowledge is conveyed to his fellow human being again and, as it were, presented to him as irrefutable, so that his train of thought is led in a direction which deviates from the truth but he himself does not even consider that he might be thinking wrongly. To a certain extent this direction of thought has now been forced upon him, and it is now difficult for the beings in the beyond to convey such thoughts to him which make him doubt the correctness of those wisdoms which have been imparted to him in a scholastic way. This is where the earthly children with the right knowledge should intervene helpfully by undauntedly trying to explain the error of those teachings. They must stimulate such misguided people to think for themselves, they must try to prove to them that a wisdom that comes from heaven.... that was gained without any prior knowledge.... is indisputably more credible than that which was devised by human understanding and passed on by human will. And mention must be made unflinchingly of divine activity, for only knowledge acquired in such an extraordinary way will find acceptance if the human being recognizes that his own knowledge is inadequate. But usually his resistance will increase as he does not want to give up his previous knowledge. However, pointing out to them that they have a duty to reflect on the knowledge they have been given can sometimes lead to success, for then their spiritual friends will be able to impart many a thought to them. Without spiritual help, however, they will hardly find the path to truth, for in order to acquire it a person has to be mentally active himself; however, he must not allow himself to be forced into thinking or accept something as truth without having acquired it as spiritual knowledge through his own mental work....

Imposted Direction of Thought....

O ser humano se encontra em estado de falta de liberdade de pensamento se a sabedoria lhe for transferida, o que é um resultado humano, ou seja, se o conhecimento intelectualmente adquirido for novamente transmitido ao seu semelhante e, por assim dizer, apresentado a ele como irrefutável, de modo que a sua linha de pensamento seja guiada para uma direção que se afasta da verdade, mas ele próprio nem sequer considera que possa estar pensando erroneamente. Em certa medida, essa direção do pensamento foi-lhe imposta, e agora é difícil para os seres do outro lado transmitirem-lhe tais pensamentos que o fazem duvidar da correção daquelas sabedorias transmitidas pela escola. É aqui que as crianças terrenas com o conhecimento certo devem intervir, tentando persistentemente explicar o erro desses ensinamentos. Eles devem encorajar essas pessoas erradas a pensar por si mesmas, devem tentar provar-lhes que uma sabedoria que vem do céu.... que foi adquirida sem qualquer conhecimento prévio.... é indiscutivelmente mais credível do que aquilo que foi concebido pelo intelecto humano e transmitido pela vontade humana. E o trabalho divino deve ser mencionado sem hesitação, pois só o conhecimento adquirido de forma tão extraordinária encontra aceitação, desde que o ser humano reconheça que o seu próprio conhecimento é deficiente. Mas sobretudo a sua resistência vai aumentar, porque ele não quer desistir dos seus conhecimentos anteriores. Mas, então, apontar para aqueles que têm o dever de pensar sobre o conhecimento que lhes é transmitido pode, às vezes, levar ao sucesso, pois, então, os amigos espirituais podem transmitir muitos pensamentos a eles. Sem ajuda espiritual, porém, dificilmente encontrarão o caminho para a verdade, pois para a adquirir o ser humano tem de ser mentalmente activo; contudo, não deve deixar-se forçar a pensar ou aceitar algo como verdade sem a ter adquirido ele próprio como conhecimento espiritual através da sua própria obra de pensamento....
