'Vengeance is Mine....'

Exacting revenge is not right before God, for then the human being will share the guilt because he gave way to an evil desire in him and is no longer pure at heart. Every feeling of unkindness is an obstacle towards ascent, the inner battle, however, is an advancement. As soon as the human being is antagonistically inclined towards the fellow human being and ponders retaliation he hands himself over to the power of evil and has to comply with its will, which always intends to increase unkindness. And this puts his state of soul at risk, for once he has given in to the enemy's desire it will be difficult for him to practise love, for the thought of revenge poisons his feelings. What his fellow human being has done to him is far less than what he is now doing to himself, for his fellow human being's wrong-doing consisted of causing him physical damage but he is damaging his soul and puts it into new fetters with every act of unkindness. He has no other benefit by doing so other than to satisfy his feeling of revenge and thereby hands himself over to the opponent's control, and to then return to activities of love is extremely difficult and can only be possible if he realises and regrets his wrong-doing. The vindictive person, however, is pleased with his action and far removed from a state of remorse. The human being shall repay evil with good, this way he will weaken the power of evil, acquire love and release himself as well as his opponent from the influence of evil, for his opponent will experience this as a beneficial act, providing he is not entirely obstinate, and will regret his action. Vengeance, however, is God's responsibility. And God is righteous, He truly administers vengeance according to merit.... He beholds the human being's heart and nothing remains hidden to Him. And it is His will to reform people and to make them realise their wrong-doing, just as He blesses those who patiently endure the other person's wrong-doing without rebelling against it or thinking of exacting revenge. 'Vengeance is Mine', says the Lord.... He thereby makes His will known to leave the responsibility of vengeance to Him, so as not to cause damage to your soul, which will be much greater than your fellow human being can ever inflict on you....

‘OSVETA JE MOJA....’ (Ponovljeni Zakon 32:35)

Utjerivati osvetu nije ispravno pred Bogom, jer onda ce ljudsko bice dijeliti krivnju buduci je popustio jednoj zloj žudnji u njemu i više nije cist u srcu. Svaki osjecaj neljubaznosti je prepreka spram uzlaza, unutarnja borba je, medutim, napredovanje. Cim je ljudsko bice neprijateljski naklonjeno spram bližnjeg ljudskog bica i promišlja odmazdu on sebe izrucuje sili zla i mora udovoljiti njezinoj volji, koja uvijek naumljava povecati neljubaznost. I ovo stavlja njegovo stanje duše u rizik, jer jednom kada je popustila žudnji neprijatelja biti ce teško za njega prakticirati Ljubav, jer misao o odmazdi truje njegove osjecaje. Što mu je njegovo bližnje ljudsko bice ucinilo je daleko neznatnije nego što on sada cini sebi samome, jer grijeh njegovog bližnjeg se sastojao od toga da mu je prouzrocio fizicku štetu ali on šteti svojoj duši i stavlja ju u nove lance sa svakim cinom neljubaznosti. On nema druge koristi cineci tako osim da zadovolji njegov osjecaja odmazde i na taj nacin sebe izrucuje kontroli suparnika (Sotone), i vratiti se onda aktivnostima Ljubavi je izuzetno teško i može biti jedino moguce ako shvati svoj grijeh i zažali radi toga. Ovetoljubiva osoba je, medutim, zadovoljna sa njegovom akcijom i daleko udaljena od stanja grizodušja. Ljudsko bice treba uzvratiti dobrim na zlo (Rimljanima 12:19-21), na ovaj nacin ce on oslabiti silu zla, zadobiti Ljubav i osloboditi sebe baš kao i njegova suparnika od utjecaja zla, jer njegov suparnik ce ovo doživjeti kao blagotvoran cin, pod uvjetom da nije u cjelosti tvrdokoran, i on ce zažaliti svoju akciju. Osveta je, medutim, Božja odgovornost. A Bog je pravedan, On doista primjenjuje osvetu prema zasluzi.... On gleda srce ljudskog bica i ništa Mu ne ostaje skriveno. I Njegova je volja popraviti ljude i uciniti da shvate njihovo pogrešno djelovanje, baš kao što On blagoslivlja one koji strpljivo trpe pogrešno djelovanje druge osobe bez da se pobunjuju protiv njega ili razmišlja o utjerivanju odmazde. ‘Osveta je Moja....’, kaže Gospodar.... On na taj nacin obznanjuje Njegovu volju da ostavite odgovornost osvecivanja Njemu, tako da ne prouzrocite štetu vašoj duši, koja ce biti puno veca nego što vam je vaše bližnje ljudsko bice može ikada nanijeti.
