Subordination of the will.... Grace.... Spiritual and earthly knowledge....

The inwardly matured human being will completely harmonise himself with the divine will, for his feelings can only approve what corresponds to God's will. He will make contact with the divine spirit in every situation in life, thus, if he is willing to do what is right, he will be instructed by this divine spirit and also now yield to the urge of the heart, which expresses the voice of the divine spirit. This is not a forced way of acting, for his will already strives for the good, so the will subordinates itself to the will of God. It is the will to act right before God, the unconscious utilisation of divine grace, for the working of the spirit through the human being is a grace which God imparts to those who desire it. The will to do good is also the will toward God, and God Himself comes to meet the willing and gives him the strength to carry out what his will strives for. If the human being now consciously makes contact with God through prayer, grace will flow to him in abundance, for now the human being has found union with God, he recognises God and now seeks to serve Him, whereas before he certainly strived for the noble but still thought himself to be alone, because he did not recognise the eternal Deity. (2.9.1940) Everything that is good and noble already belongs to God in its essence, even if it is not fully conscious of it. It is part of love and is therefore close to God, and the power from God must communicate itself to it, because it stands in the circuit of divine love. But he must also inevitably come to recognise the Deity if he is working with love, for through love the outer shells dissolve and let the spirit free, and this now instructs him, and gives him knowledge of all things in and around himself. And now the human being becomes knowledgeable, which is spiritual progress. He enters into conscious contact with the spiritual in the beyond, and is taught, thus brought ever closer to the eternal Deity, which is the goal and purpose of earthly life. Hence the right knowledge is not due to intellectual work but to the inner state of the heart. If a person is good and noble he shall also be rich in knowledge.... of such knowledge which has value for eternity.... For earthly wisdom loses all value with the death of the one who stands in such wisdom.... Earthly knowledge is irrelevant, indeed, it can even prevent a person from accepting spiritual knowledge, because spiritual knowledge usually does not correspond to earthly knowledge, and this is not the case so the person with earthly knowledge is incapable of loving actions, that is, if love has not yet come alive in him and his spiritual state is still very devoid of light. Then all wisdom in which he believes to stand is only profitable for earthly life, but not for the life that follows after bodily death....

Subordonner sa volonté - la Grâce - le savoir spirituel et le savoir terrestre

L'homme mûr intérieurement s'insérera parfaitement dans la Volonté divine, parce que son sentiment ne peut approuver que seulement ce qui correspond à la Volonté de Dieu. Dans chaque situation de vie il se mettra en contact avec l’Esprit divin et cédera seulement à la poussée du cœur qui exprime la voix de l’esprit divin. Il n’agit pas par contrainte, car sa volonté tend déjà au bien, sa volonté se subordonne seulement à la Volonté de Dieu. Il a la volonté d'agir bien devant Dieu, de se servir involontairement de la Grâce divine, car l’action de l’Esprit dans l'homme est une Grâce que Dieu transmet à ceux qui la désirent. La volonté pour le bien est aussi la Volonté de Dieu, et Dieu Lui-Même va à la rencontre de celui qui est de bonne volonté et Il lui donne la Force pour exécuter ce à quoi aspire sa volonté. Si maintenant l'homme se met consciemment en liaison avec Dieu au travers de la prière, la Grâce coule maintenant en lui dans une très grande mesure, parce que maintenant l'homme a trouvé l'unification avec Dieu, il reconnaît Dieu et cherche maintenant à Le servir, alors que d'abord il aspirait certes à ce qui est noble, mais il croit être encore tout seul, parce qu'il ne reconnaît pas l'éternelle Divinité. (02.09.1940) Tout ce qui est bien et noble dans son être appartient déjà à Dieu, bien qu’il n'en ait pas la pleine conscience. Il est dans l'amour et ainsi il est près de Dieu, et la Force de Dieu doit se communiquer, parce qu'il se trouve dans le Courant de l'Amour divin. Il doit donc arriver irrévocablement à la connaissance de la Divinité s'il est actif dans l'amour, parce qu'au travers de l'amour les enveloppes se dénouent et laissent libre l’esprit, et maintenant celui-ci peut être instruit et il peut prendre connaissance de toutes les choses dans et autour de lui. Et maintenant l'homme devient instruit, et cela est un progrès spirituel. Il entre en liaison consciente avec le spirituel dans l'au-delà qui l’instruit et donc il est guidé toujours plus près de l'éternelle Divinité, qui est l’objectif et le but de la vie terrestre. Donc le juste savoir ne résulte pas d’un travail de l’entendement, mais d’une constitution du cœur. Si l'homme est bon et noble, alors il sera aussi riche dans le savoir, et un tel savoir a valeur pour l'Éternité, parce que la sagesse terrestre perd toute valeur avec la mort de celui qui a une telle sagesse. Le savoir terrestre est indifférent, au contraire il peut même entraver l'homme dans l'acceptation du savoir spirituel, parce que celui-ci ne coïncide presque jamais avec le savoir terrestre, c'est-à-dire lorsque celui qui possède le savoir terrestre n'est pas capable d'exécuter une action affectueuse, c'est-à-dire lorsqu’en lui l'amour n'est pas encore devenu vivant et que son état spirituel est encore trop sans Lumière. Alors toute la sagesse dans laquelle il croit être procure seulement un gain pour la vie terrestre, mais pas pour la Vie après la mort corporelle.
