Human additions.... Attendance at church....

Everything in relation to God has to result in success for a person providing he complies with or makes use of it.... It will have to lead to God.... but only if all requirements are actually adhered to. Formality, however, will not lead to success. It is merely easier for one person and more difficult for another to reach the objective, in as much as the latter has chosen to walk an exceptionally difficult path, whereas the other path is easier but can be an equally joyful service to God. Hence the human being is submitting himself to conditions which were not required of him by God. It is helpful to become aware of the individual teachings which were added by people to the teaching of Christ. First of all, attendance at church was made a duty, which is not always spiritually beneficial but can also be soul-destroying.

The idea that the human being will turn more towards God by going to church is extremely misguided; instead he is far more at risk of turning what should be a profound inner experience into a habitual act. The true aspirant will look for God everywhere, his church attendance will certainly not harm him but he can find contact with God anytime and anywhere and will not need a particular place for it. Therefore it would only be necessary to hear God’s Word if it is not made accessible to the person elsewhere, and this will only find God’s complete agreement as long as the purpose of attending church is just the said imparting of the divine Word. All other ceremonial activities are embellishments which were more than less added by people and nowadays motivate the concept of a service to God, although something entirely different than attending such practices, which have nothing in common with the real work of the soul, is meant by serving God.

It is entirely unimportant and inconsequential whether and to what extent the human being will comply with the requirements which are prerequisite of belonging to the Roman-Catholic church. The church founded by Jesus Christ on earth has nothing to do with external appearances. In spite of its external manifestations its profound principles can certainly be recognised, and thus they need not be obstacles to recognising Jesus Christ’s true teachings and to living accordingly. Alternatively however, these external manifestations are not necessarily needed in order to be a true Christian in accordance with God’s will. It is not difficult to see that people are put off precisely because of the many formalities, and Jesus Christ certainly did not consider that the achievement of eternal bliss depended on the fulfilment of humanly decreed commandments such as attending church regularly, taking part in an action which is likewise a humanly devised theatrical play that is of no benefit for and has no influence on the human soul.

People should consider that the Lord on earth objected to outward appearances, that He did nothing in order to emphasize His Word effectively, with the exception of miracles, which intended to prove His Divinity to people. However, He has never done anything that could justify or somehow substantiate the above actions today but they are mere humanly introduced formalities which have no other deeper meaning than what people had assigned to them. And this can never correspond with divine will, thus it cannot be required of people as evidence for complying with the teaching of Christ....

LJUDSKE TRADICIJE.... OBAVEZNO POSJEĆIVANJE CRKVE

Sve što ima veze sa Bogom [[ili ‘sve što se odnosi prema Bogu’]] mora čovjeku donijeti uspjeh [[ili ‘rezultirati uspjehom’]] pod uvjetom da on tome udovoljava ili to iskoristi.... To će [[ga]] morati voditi/dovesti do Boga.... ali jedino ako se udovolji svim postavljenim uvjetima. Formalnosti, međutim, neće voditi/dovesti do uspjeha. Jednoj osobi je jednostavno lakše a drugoj teže ostvariti cilj, ukoliko je potonja odabrala hodati izuzetno teškim putem, dok je drugi put lakši ali može također biti radosno služenje Bogu. Ljudsko biće dakle sebe potčinjava uvjetima koje Bog nije od njega zahtjevao. Stoga je od pomoći ako čovjek postane svjestan o [[= ako dozna o/ako se upozna sa]] pojedinim učenjima koja su od strane ljudi bila dodana Kristovom učenju. Prije svega, posjećivanje crkve je nametnuto kao obaveza, što nije uvijek duhovno blagotvorno/korisno [[ili ‘od dobrobiti’]] već može također biti uništavajuće za dušu.

Ideja kako će se čovjek odlaženjem u crkvu okrenuti više ka Bogu je krajnje obmanjujuća; umjesto toga on daleko više riskira da se ono što bi trebalo biti duboko unutrašnje iskustvo pretvori u naviknut čin. Istinski aspirant će Boga tražiti svugdje, njegov odlazak u crkvu mu zasigurno neće naškoditi ali on može pronaći kontakt sa Bogom uvijek i svugdje i neće za to trebati specifično mjesto. Prema tome, jedino bi nužno bilo čuti Božju Riječ ako ona osobi nije dostupna nigdje drugdje, i Bog će se sa time u potpunosti složiti jedino ako je svrha posjećivanja crkve [[= u smislu, ‘Bog će dati puno odobrenjeo odlasku u crkvu ako je njegov smisao’]] upravo spomenuto priopćavanje Božanske Riječi. Sve druge ceremonijalne aktivnosti su ukrasi koji su više ili manje bili nadodani od strane ljudi te u današnje vrijeme motiviraju koncept služenja Bogu, iako služenje Bogu predstavlja nešto potpuno drugačije od služenja takvim praksama [[= njegovanja takvih običaja]], koje nemaju ništa zajedničko sa stvarnim radom za dušu.

Potpuno je beznačajno i nevažno da li i do koje mjere će ljudsko biće udovoljiti zahtjevima koji su uvjet pripadnosti Rimo-Katoličkoj crkvi. Crkva koju je na Zemlji utemeljio Isus Krist nema ništa zajedničko sa izvanjskim pojavama/nastupima. Njezini se vrlo duboki principi mogu zasigurno prepoznati usprkos njezinim vanjskim manifestacijama, i time oni ne moraju biti prepreka prepoznavanju istinskog učenja Isusa Krista i sukladnom životu. Alternativno međutim, te izvanjske manifestacije nisu nužno potrebne da bi se bilo istinskim Kršćaninom u skladu sa Božjom voljom. Nije teško vidjeti da su ljudi odbijeni baš zbog mnogo formalnosti, a Isus Krist zasigurno nije smatrao da postignuće vječnog blaženstva ovisi o ispunjenju zapovijedi koje su odredili ljudi, poput redovitog posjećivanja crkve, sudjelovanja u akciji koja je također od strane ljudi smišljena kazališna igra a koja nije od nikakve dobrobiti za i nema nikakav utjecaj na ljudsku dušu.

Ljudi trebaju uzeti u obzir kako je Gospodin na Zemlji prigovarao vanjskim pojavama/nastupima, da On nije učinio ništa da bi Svoju Riječ u stvarnosti/efektivno istaknuo, izuzev čuda, čija je namjera bila dokazati ljudima Njegovo Božanstvo. On međutim nikad nije učinio ništa što bi moglo opravdati ili na neki način danas potkrijepiti gore spomenute akcije već su one prosto od strane ljudi uvedene formalnosti koje nemaju drugo dublje značenje od onog kojeg su mu dodijelili ljudi. I to nikad ne može korespondirati sa Božanskom voljom, stoga od ljudi ne može biti potraživano kao svjedočanstvo udovoljavanja Kristovom učenju.
