Formation of the people's soul by otherworldly beings....

The community of souls of those in the beyond, who are responsible for the care of earthly beings, produces extremely valuable results, namely in the formation of the people's soul, which is most likely to regocnize the seriousness of wrong actions and thoughts. The more straightforward and uneducated the character of a people is, the easier it regocnizes the worthlessness of the transitory and the more likely it is to make an effort to create values for eternity. However, as soon as earthly values begin to accumulate, as soon as a certain affluence has also penetrated these classes of people, thinking begins to flatten and take its course in a pernicious way, and nothing is more dangerous for a people than to have entered this path. How childishly humble and pleading a heart beats towards the father in heaven as long as it is not yet burdened with the concern for earthly goods, whose addiction to increase separates the soul of man from the eternal deity. And a people which always and constantly has only one goal, to become great, strong and powerful, is on the other hand in great danger of becoming spiritually weak, small and lowly, and this is understandable, for it no longer listens to the voice within, it closes itself to the influences of the world beyond, it clings too much to earthly things to be able to make contact with the power beyond. Anyone who is small on earth and does not burden himself with thoughts which are aimed at increasing his earthly possessions will nevertheless enrich himself in such a way that his possessions will outlast all times.... And thus the soul of the people is still the most likely bearer of spiritual strength, it is still the most likely to find the path to God, to the father.... and is still the most likely to enter into contact with all spiritual strength. However, if the foundations are shaken there too, if the people's faith is so shaken that they can no longer find the path to the father in times of need because they can no longer see Him in their spiritual blindness, then all activity of the spiritual forces will be in vain and the greater these beings' will to help, the greater their resistance will be. And thus, if the people are in such a spiritual state then there is true hardship on earth.... Then the time has also come when the transience of earthly possessions has to be brought to their attention, for only the great earthly adversity will result in renewed faith in a higher being, and only then will the endeavours of the beings in the beyond be crowned with success again. And that is why especially the people must be exceptionally affected and suffer, and thus there will be great hardship where the people's soul is in danger of being completely dominated by matter, and a purification must be carried out there, which again is not possible in any other way than it now expresses itself everywhere.... through hardship and worry in every way....

La formazione dell’anima popolare attraverso gli esseri nell’aldilà

La comunità di anime nell’aldilà alla quale spetta l’assistenza degli esseri terreni, procura dei risultati immensamente preziosi e cioè nella formazione dell’anima popolare, che riconosce prima di tutto la più grande gravità del falso agire e pensare. Più lineare e non deformato è il carattere di un popolo, più facilmente riconosce l’inutilità del perituro e si sforza per questo prima a procurarsi dei valori per l’Eternità. Ma appena i valori terreni cominciano ad ammassarsi, appena un certo ben vivere è penetrato anche fino a questi strati popolari, il pensare comincia ad appiattirsi e prende il suo cammino nel modo rovinoso, e non vi è nulla di più pericoloso per un popolo che aver intrapresa questa via. Quanto infantilmente umile e supplicante batte un cuore per il Padre nel Cielo finché non è ancora aggravato con la preoccupazione per i beni terreni, tanto la brama del suo accrescimento separa l’anima dell’uomo dall’eterna Divinità. Ed un popolo, che ha sempre e continuamente soltanto una meta, di diventare grande, forte e potente, d’altra parte è in grande pericolo di diventare spiritualmente debole, piccolo ed a stare in basso, e questo è comprensibile, perché non sente più la voce nell’interiore, si chiude alle influenze del mondo dell’aldilà, è troppo attaccato al terreno, piuttosto che potesse ancora prendere contatto con la Forza nell’aldilà. Chi terrenamente è piccolo e non si aggrava con pensieri che sono rivolti all’ingrandimento del possesso terreno, si arricchisce comunque e cioè in tal modo, che il suo possesso dura per tutti i tempi. E quindi l’anima popolare è ancora piuttosto la portatrice della Forza spirituale, e se trova ancora prima la via verso Dio, verso il Padre, può entrare ancora prima in collegamento con ogni Forza spirituale. Se però anche là le fondamenta vengono scosse, se anche nel popolo la fede è talmente scossa, che in tempi di miseria non trova più la via verso il Padre, perché non la vede più nella sua cecità spirituale, allora tutto l’agire delle Forze spirituali è inutile, e più grande è la volontà d’amore di questi esseri, maggiore resistenza si mette loro contro. E se quindi il popolo è in un tale stato spirituale, allora c’è davvero miseria sulla Terra. Allora è venuto anche il momento, che gli deve venire portato anche davanti agli occhi la periturità dei beni terreni, perché soltanto la grande miseria terrena procura di nuovo la fede in un Essere superiore, e soltanto allora lo sforzo degli esseri nell’aldilà è di nuovo coronato da successo. E perciò appunto il popolo dev’essere colpito straordinariamente e soffrire, e quindi vi sarà grande miseria là, dove l’anima popolare è in pericolo di essere totalmente dominata dalla materia, e là dev’essere svolta una purificazione, che nuovamente non è possibile diversamente che manifestarsi ora ovunque, attraverso miseria e preoccupazione di ogni genere.
