Lies and truth.... world of appearances....

Far from the right path walks the man whose soul is anxious about earthly suffering.... What is life and everything you find desirable in it.... and what a useless endeavour it is to fight for earthly recognition. Your gaze will widen if you look inwards, but what you seek in the distance will cloud your mind.... Accept the world only as an opportunity to reach the heights and seek in eternity to find the right substitute for what you lack on earth. Let yourselves be guided by the divine creator and give Him your burden to carry, He will willingly take it on His shoulders if you love and pray.... And place yourselves in His plan from eternity. The bridge to eternity is God.... love and goodness Himself.... and whoever wants to enter the bridge must be able to give love and ask sincerely.... and then there are no barriers for him that block the path to the eternal deity.... You must learn to overcome the body's fear of transience, you must pay no attention to earthly adversity and only live for eternal destiny.... And thus it is the lord's will that people's shortcomings should become visible so that the spirit of humanity can be regocnized by all who look around them with open eyes. And in the condemnation of their weaknesses there is still the possibility of saving souls by showing them their reflection and making them detest the product of false endeavour.... truth cannot unfold in the world of appearances, and the slightest untruth has an influence on the human being's mind because the spirit in him detests untruth, and again it is worth noting that the world is based on lies and shuns the truth, whereas the spirit only takes pleasure in the truth and thus separates itself from the world and everything earthly transient. And thus there is only one way to walk.... the world must be despised, it must be fought in every way, it must only be regarded as a means to an end, it must be endured but not loved, it must be able to be sacrificed at any time and exchanged for eternity.... It contains good and evil within itself, for those forces emanate from it which turn towards the truth, but far more which act against the truth, and both directions will be in opposition to each other and yet be active for each other, for the truth brings to light the fullest realization, and likewise the lie will assert its place.... for only where there is vice can virtue also unfold, since without the possibility of vice no virtue can be practiced. And so untruth will undoubtedly dominate the world until people's spiritual state has improved and only the truth is desired for the sake of truth....

Leugen en waarheid – Schijnwereld

De mens, wiens ziel bang is voor aards leed, staat op grote afstand van de juiste weg. Wat is het leven en alles wat u daarin begerenswaardig vindt? En wat voor een nutteloze onderneming is het om te strijden voor wereldse erkenning.

Uw blik zal zich verruimen, als u innerlijk schouwt, maar wat u in de verte zoekt, zal uw geest vertroebelen. Aanvaard de wereld alleen maar als een gelegenheid om opwaarts te kunnen gaan en probeer in de eeuwigheid de juiste schadeloosstelling te vinden voor dat, waar het u op aarde aan ontbreekt. Laat u door de goddelijke Schepper leiden en geef Hem uw last te dragen. Hij neemt het bereidwillig op Zijn schouders als u Hem liefhebt en Hem erom bidt. En pas je aan Zijn plan aan, dat Hij van eeuwigheid af aan al heeft.

God is de brug naar de eeuwigheid. De liefde en goedheid Zelf. En wie de brug betreden wil, moet liefde geven en innig kunnen smeken. En dan zijn er voor hem geen barrières meer, die de weg naar de eeuwige Godheid versperren. U moet de vrees voor de vergankelijkheid van het lichaam leren overwinnen. U moet geen acht slaan op de aardse nood en enkel voor de eeuwige bestemming leven. En dus is het de wil van de Heer, dat de gebreken van de mens zichtbaar voor de dag komen, opdat de geest van de mensheid herkenbaar is voor allen, die met open ogen om zich heen kijken. En in de veroordeling van hun zwakheden ligt nog altijd de mogelijkheid tot redding van de zielen, doordat hun hun spiegelbeeld getoond wordt en ze het product van hun verkeerde streven verafschuwen.

In de schijnwereld kan de waarheid zich niet ontplooien en de allerkleinste onwaarheid is van invloed op het gemoed van de mens, omdat de geest in hem de onwaarheid verafschuwt. En het is weer opmerkelijk dat de wereld op de leugen steunt en de waarheid mijdt, terwijl de geest alleen aan de waarheid genoegen beleeft en zich dus afzondert van de wereld en van alles wat vergankelijk aards is.

En er is dus maar één weg te gaan. De wereld moet veracht worden. Haar moet op elke manier de strijd aangezegd worden. Ze moet slechts beschouwd worden als middel tot het doel. Ze moet verdragen, maar niet geliefd worden. Ze moet op elk moment opgeofferd kunnen worden en kunnen worden ingeruild voor de eeuwigheid. Ze bevat goed en kwaad in zich, want van haar gaan krachten uit, die zich naar de waarheid toekeren, maar nog veel meer, die tegen de waarheid ingaan. En beide richtingen zullen tegenover elkaar staan en toch zullen ze voor elkaar werkzaam zijn, want de waarheid brengt het volste inzicht aan de dag. En evenzo zal ook de leugen haar plaats behouden, want alleen waar de ondeugd is, kan ook de deugd zich ontplooien, omdat zonder de mogelijkheid tot ondeugd er immers geen deugd beoefend kan worden. En dus zal zonder twijfel ook de onwaarheid de wereld zo lang overheersen, tot de geestelijke staat van de mensen zich verheven heeft en ze alleen nog maar naar de waarheid zullen verlangen omwille van de waarheid.
