Life's misfortunes necessary....

Not the slightest event is without influence on a person's development. Just as you prove yourselves in the face of every event, success is also more or less beneficial. And so earthly life continues to be the touchstone on which you should test your resilience. Whatever fills you with indignation, annoyance or aversion you must try to change into gentleness and patience, you must always regard it as what it should be for you, as obstacles against which you are to mature.... Not that you can put these disagreements aside at will.... this would not be progress for your soul, only in overcoming all temptations, in perfecting yourselves, do you see the purpose of all adversities which make life difficult for you. You run the risk of taking a step backwards where you are not up to the trials. After all, every day is supposed to bring you advancement and so you must not oppose the trials imposed on you for this purpose but you must surrender to divine will, which allows such trials to come upon you to mature. For a life without struggle is also no possibility of progress for the soul. Only overcoming yourselves can bring you success, but a quiet, peaceful life only brings sluggishness of spirit and a weakened will. And this then harbours many dangers for the soul. The hard fate that is sometimes bestowed upon a person will only have a successful effect on the soul, for in struggling and overcoming the soul strengthens itself and is far more likely to release itself from its shackles; however, a being that is spared all difficulties is not equal to the battle against evil. Instead of being an overcomer itself, it is defeated by the opposing power and has to suffer unspeakably, and these sufferings are much more severe than the adversities of daily life. Only in constant struggle is the soul offered the opportunity to develop freely, and every struggle can be overcome if, when your strength fails, you confess your weakness to the divine lord and saviour and ask Him to take care of you.... He will not leave you without help, for His words are so sweet: "Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden.... I will give you rest." Why do you fear and hesitate, why do you feel weak, when the lord will always help you with His strength if you only ask Him. Leave all fear and anxiety behind and only look to the lord with trust.... He will never abandon those in need who trustingly turn to Him for help. And thus every oppressive or agonizing situation in life will resolve itself, just make sure that it does not have the opposite effect on you than its actual purpose should be.... that it does not make you act hardened and unloving.... make sure that you only ever let love speak within you, for only love alone will overcome and allow you to emerge successfully from such trials. Shape your heart in ever deeper love and thus also become a blessing to your environment, and through love you will become free from the pressure that weighs on you, and your soul will also become free if you overcome all difficulties in life by virtue of this love....

Mißhelligkeiten des Lebens notwendig....

Nicht das geringste Geschehen ist ohne Einfluß auf den Werdegang des Menschen. So, wie ihr euch bewährt einem jeden Ereignis gegenüber, so ist auch der Erfolg mehr oder weniger segensreich. Und so ist das Erdenleben fortgesetzt der Prüfstein, an dem ihr eure Widerstandskraft erproben sollt. Was euch mit Empörung, Verdruß oder Widerwillen erfüllt, das müsset ihr zu wandeln versuchen in Sanftmut und Geduld, ihr müsset es immer als das ansehen, was es für euch sein soll, als Hindernisse, an denen ihr ja ausreifen sollt.... Nicht, daß ihr diese Mißhelligkeiten beliebig zur Seite stellen könnt.... es wäre dies kein Fortschritt für eure Seele, nur in der Überwindung aller Anfechtungen, in der Vervollkommnung eurer selbst sehet den Zweck aller Widerwärtigkeiten, die euch das Leben schwermachen. Ihr laufet Gefahr, dort einen Rückschritt zu tun, wo ihr den Prüfungen nicht gewachsen seid. Es soll euch doch ein jeder Tag Förderung bringen, und so dürfet ihr nun den euch zu diesem Zweck auferlegten Prüfungen nicht entgegenwirken, sondern ihr müsset euch ergeben in den göttlichen Willen fügen, der ebensolche Proben zum Ausreifen über euch kommen läßt. Denn es ist ein Leben ohne Kampf auch keine Fortschrittsmöglichkeit für die Seele. Nur das Überwinden eurer selbst kann euch den Erfolg bringen, doch ein ruhiges, friedvolles Leben nur Trägheit des Geistes und geschwächten Willen. Und dieser birgt dann viele Gefahren für die Seele. Das harte Los, das mitunter einem Menschen beschieden ist, wird für die Seele nur erfolgreich sich auswirken, denn im Ringen und Überwinden stärkt sich die Seele und löst sich weit eher aus ihren Fesseln; ein Wesen aber, dem alle Schwierigkeiten erspart bleiben, ist dem Kampf gegen das Böse nicht gewachsen. Es wird, statt selbst Überwinder zu sein, von der Gegenmacht besiegt und hat unsagbar zu leiden und sind diese Leiden viel schwererer Art als die Mißhelligkeiten des täglichen Lebens. Nur im steten Kampf ist der Seele Gelegenheit geboten, sich frei zu entwickeln, und es ist jeder Kampf zu bestehen, wenn ihr beim Versagen eurer Kraft dem göttlichen Herrn und Heiland eure Schwäche gesteht und Ihn bittet, Sich eurer anzunehmen.... Er wird euch nicht ohne Hilfe lassen, lauten doch Seine Worte so liebreich: "Kommet alle zu Mir, die ihr mühselig und beladen seid.... Ich will euch erquicken." Warum banget und zaget ihr, warum fühlt ihr euch schwach, wo euch der Herr mit Seiner Stärke jederzeit beisteht, so ihr Ihn nur darum bittet. Lasset alles Zagen und Bangen und schauet nur vertrauend auf den Herrn.... Er lässet nimmer in der Not, die sich vertrauensvoll an Ihn um Hilfe wenden. Und so wird sich jede bedrückende oder quälende Lebenslage von selbst lösen, nur achtet, daß sie in euch nicht das Gegenteil bewirkt, als ihr eigentlicher Zweck sein soll.... daß sie euch nicht verhärtet und lieblos handeln läßt.... achtet, daß ihr nur immer die Liebe in euch sprechen lasset, denn nur die Liebe allein wird überwinden und euch aus solchen Prüfungen erfolgreich hervorgehen lassen. Gestaltet euer Herz in immer tieferer Liebe, und werdet so auch eurer Umgebung zum Segen, und ihr werdet durch die Liebe frei werden von dem Druck, der auf euch lastet, und frei wird auch die Seele werden, so ihr alles Schwere im Leben kraft dieser Liebe überwindet....
