Blessing of ill health and suffering....

The state of suffering often obliges a person to take a closer look at his whole life on earth, and this is both beneficial for the soul as well as very often favourable for the body, since the human being, in recognition of his wrong thoughts and behaviour, will frequently endeavour to change his nature. This can also have a positive effect on his body in so far as that a decent way of life can considerably contribute towards maintaining a healthy body or curing a sick one.

The body often has to be afflicted by illness or infirmity, precisely in order to make the person realise that his conduct had completely contravened God's order.... For all reprimands and warnings sent to people by the Lord won't achieve what ill health can often bring about. The human being has no option but to turn away from the world and its pleasures and see earthly life in a completely different light.... He sees the body's frailty and helplessness, and his personal sense of weakness, his inability to escape this condition, will automatically direct his thoughts towards spiritual issues. He will then be far more inclined to deal with problems which are far from a healthy person's mind, and such thoughts can induce a change if he does not oppose them, and thus the spiritual beings can start with the work on such a person's soul by influencing him ever more into asking questions, which will then be answered by the spiritual beings in the form of bright ideas, and thus he is gradually guided into a spiritual sphere which he finds agreeable and which internalises him. To come to the same realisation within the commotion of the world would have taken him a very long time, which would have passed in vain for the soul.... this way, however, a short time can suffice and advance him considerably. And thus, suffering should not make a person unhappy, instead it should equally be regarded as a demonstration of the eternal Deity's love, which the human being will soon understand if he, through suffering, has taken the right path and subsequently can move on by actively working for the salvation of his soul....

Bendición de la enfermedad y el sufrimiento....

El estado de sufrimiento a menudo obliga al ser humano a mirar más de cerca toda la vida en la tierra, y esto es a la vez favorable para el alma y muy a menudo también beneficioso para el cuerpo, porque entonces el ser humano se esfuerza por un cambio en su naturaleza al reconocer su forma de pensar y actuar a menudo de forma equivocada, que también puede ser beneficioso para el cuerpo en el sentido de que una forma de vida más civilizada contribuirá en gran medida a mantener un cuerpo sano o curar un cuerpo enfermo. El cuerpo a menudo tiene que estar afligido por enfermedades y dolencias para que la persona reconozca que su forma de vida violó completamente el orden de Dios.... Porque todas las amonestaciones y advertencias que el Señor envía a las personas no producen lo que una enfermedad a veces es capaz de lograr.

El hombre se ve obligado a alejarse del mundo y sus alegrías, y ve la vida en la tierra bajo una luz completamente diferente.... Ve la fragilidad y la impotencia del cuerpo y el sentimiento de la propia debilidad, la incapacidad de liberarse de este estado y dirige sus pensamientos involuntariamente a pensamientos espirituales. Ahora se ocupará mucho antes de problemas que están completamente alejados de una persona sana, y tales pensamientos pueden dar lugar a la transformación si no los resiste y así los seres espirituales pueden comenzar su trabajo en el alma de tal persona al influirla cada vez más, para que haga preguntas que serán respondidas a ella por los seres espirituales a través de pensamientos brillantes, y ahora es guiada gradualmente a una atmosfera espiritual que le atrae y que la interioriza.

Habría tomado mucho tiempo antes de que hubiera llegado a la misma conclusión en el ajetreo y bullicio del mundo, y el tiempo hubiera transcurrido inútilmente para el alma.... pero así a veces un corto tiempo puede ser suficiente y llevarlo considerablemente más lejos. Por tanto, el sufrimiento no debe hacer infeliz al hombre, sino que también debe ser visto como una prueba del amor de la Deidad eterna, lo que el hombre pronto también verá, que ha puesto un pie en el camino correcto a través de este sufrimiento y ahora puede continuar caminando en éste, en el celoso trabajo por la salvación de su alma....
