Will alone the path to truth and knowledge.... humility.... arrogance....

Depending on the strength of his will, man's realization will also be. If the intention is to live pleasing to the lord God and to fulfil his destiny on earth according to God's will, then it will also soon become light and bright in him, and he will feel with complete certainty in his heart what is right, and the truth will reveal itself to him. For only the will guides him onto the right path, the path of truth and knowledge. He who lacks the will will never attain full clarity, and it is therefore also more advisable to leave oneself to God's providence in good will than to want to fathom the truth intellectually on one's own authority.... For the human being will always err as long as the endeavour does not begin for the reason that alone corresponds to God's will.... to thereby show himself compliant to the creator from eternity. Humility and complete submission to the lord are the first conditions for reaching the lord one day.... What once separated the soul from God was arrogance and imperiousness. And so only through self-abasement can the soul find its way back to God.... But there is no humility in the intellectual desire to fathom.... Man imagines himself capable of penetrating creation and its secrets by his own strength and will therefore never be able to find the right illumination of the spirit until he finally, in self-recognition of his weakness, turns to the creator Himself in supplication and deep humility.... Then his endeavour will be crowned with success and provide him with all knowledge. And therefore the path to realization can only be entered when the soul is seized by the deepest willingness to serve the lord God.... This will is so extremely successful because it unites everything in itself.... humility and deep love for God and thus also active neighbourly love, for the human being does not desire the truth for himself alone but at the same time endeavours to work for the lord and to take care of the erring souls of his fellow human beings. Such endeavours will then also be blessed, as the whole of earthly life is only for the redemption from the darkness of the spirit. The continuous instruction of the earthly child is then also directly related to the active support, for the human being's will can only remain active without interruption if it is kept active through the supply of spiritual nourishment.... He will be steeled to the highest efficiency if the human being is instructed in his task by the heavenly father Himself.... For the more divine love reveals itself to the earthly child, the more eagerly it will endeavour to become worthy of this love, and it will therefore fully dedicate itself to the task of receiving and giving light to all its fellow human beings. For this alone is the destiny of everyone on earth, to redeem himself from the night of the spirit in order to be able to enter the kingdom of light.... of eternal truth....

Alleen de wil is de weg tot waarheid en kennis – Deemoed – Verwaandheid

Al naar gelang de sterkte van zijn wil, zal ook het inzicht van de mens zijn. Als de intentie om op een God de Heer welgevallige manier te leven en zijn bestemming op aarde volgens de wil van God te vervullen eraan ten grondslag ligt, dan zal het ook spoedig licht en helder in hem worden en hij zal met volledige zekerheid in het hart voelen wat juist is en de waarheid zal zich aan hem openbaren. Want alleen maar de wil leidt hem op de juiste weg, de weg van de kennis en waarheid. Bij wie de wil ontbreekt, die zal eeuwig niet het volledige inzicht verkrijgen en het is daarom ook raadzamer zich met goede wil aan de beschikking van God over te geven dan eigenmachtig verstandsmatig de waarheid te willen doorgronden. Want de mens blijft altijd dwalen, zolang hij niet het streven begint om zijn wil aan de wil van God gelijk te maken, zich daardoor aan de Schepper van eeuwigheid bereidwillig te tonen. De deemoed en volledige onderworpenheid jegens de Heer zijn de eerste voorwaarden om eens tot de Heer te geraken.

Wat de ziel ooit van God deed scheiden, waren aanmatiging en heerszucht. En zo kan de ziel alleen maar door zelfvernedering weer de weg tot God terugvinden. Maar in het verstandsmatig willen doorgronden ligt geen enkele deemoed. De mens waant zich door eigen kracht in staat in de schepping en haar geheimen binnen te kunnen dringen en zal daarom nooit de ware verlichting van de geest kunnen vinden, tot hij eindelijk, zijn zwakte beseffend, zich smekend en in diepe deemoed tot de Schepper Zelf wendt. Dan zal zijn streven met succes bekroond zijn en hem alle kennis verschaffen. En daarom is de weg tot het inzicht alleen maar te betreden wanneer de ziel de diepste bereidwilligheid opbrengt om God de Heer te dienen. Deze wil is zo buitengewoon succesvol omdat hij alles in zich verenigt. De deemoed en de diepe liefde voor God en dus ook de werkzame naastenliefde, want de mens begeert de waarheid niet alleen voor zichzelf, maar hij spant zich tegelijkertijd in om voor de Heer te werken en zich te ontfermen over de dwalende zielen van de medemensen.

Zo’n streven zal dan ook gezegend zijn, want het gehele leven op aarde geldt alleen maar de verlossing uit de duisternis van de geest. Het onafgebroken onderwijs van de kinderen op aarde staat dan ook in rechtstreekste samenhang met de daadkrachtige ondersteuning, want de wil van de mensen kan pas dan voortdurend werkzaam blijven, als hij door het toevoeren van geestelijk voedsel actief gehouden wordt. Hij wordt tot het hoogste prestatievermogen gehard als de mens door de hemelse Vader Zelf onderwezen wordt wat betreft zijn opdracht. Want hoe meer de goddelijke liefde zich aan het mensenkind openbaart, des te ijveriger zal zijn streven zijn deze liefde waardig te worden en het zal zich daarom geheel en al overgeven aan de opdracht om licht te ontvangen en het aan al zijn medemensen te geven. Want alleen dit is de bestemming van iedereen op aarde: zich te verlossen uit de nacht van de geest om binnen te kunnen gaan in het rijk van het licht, van de eeuwige waarheid.
