Worthlessness and transience of earthly possessions....

The greatest problem in this present time is the seizing of earthly possessions. It is truly growing in a frightening way and infinitely long times will pass by until the consequences of such projects are cancelled out again.... Intervening in public life is only possible to a limited extent, for countless followers of mammon might take advantage of this again by unlawfully trying to acquire what God's mercy wants to take away from the human being for the sake of his soul's salvation. For earthly goods must exist in order to test the human being's strength and to divert their will and craving from it, for only the voluntary rejection of such enticing stimuli can cause the soul's separation from matter. If therefore the arm of God reached out to all owners, taking or destroying their possessions by force, then this spiritual level would never ever be reached through a deliberate voluntary rejection, and for that reason all temptations for the soul need to remain in the world, to enable the human being to rise above himself and to detach himself from the longing for whatever the world has to offer. If, therefore, people strive for money and goods in such frightful way that they only consider this but never their soul's salvation, then a time like this also poses a terrible danger for the human race, and only the Lord can counter this danger by making people aware of the transience of all earthly possessions through natural disasters, ailments or other events which reduce all possessions and more or less disintegrate them completely, without having been touched by any other hand, so that the incentive for sin will diminish and people can easily recognise the Originator of their supposed damage.

It certainly makes sense to think about it when the intervention of a higher Power is so very distinctly perceptible. That which the human being believes himself to own with absolute certainty and which he anxiously wants to protect from the world and his fellow human beings has to be shaken time and again. For this need for sole ownership is detestable before God.... Anyone who willingly shares his worldly goods with his neighbour if he owns only little.... anyone who uses his surplus to support the poor, his goods fulfil their true purpose and will be protected for the person, yes indeed, even be increased.... And a person need never fear to experience great hardship if he always makes an effort to alleviate the hardship of the poor.... For the measure you give will be the measure you receive.... Someone who always thinks of himself and his good living standard first has to be prepared, for the Lord will make His presence felt and take hold of him where he is most sensitive.... by losing his worldly goods and putting his supposedly good living standard into question, and only then will the soul have to prove itself by finding its way out of the physical hardship and doing everything on its part to live a pleasing life before the Lord and to strive for spiritual possessions. Money and possessions certainly signify power on earth but not in eternity.... Everything will be null and void there, the souls of those who regarded power and wealth as their God will exist in a very lowly state, while those who were disinclined to worldly goods and recognised their worthlessness will be placed into an elevated position....

L'inutilité et la caducité des biens terrestres

Le plus grand problème du temps présent est l’accumulation des biens terrestres. Ils s’accroissent de plus en plus d’une manière effrayante et il se passera un temps infini jusqu'à ce que les conséquences d’un tel comportement soient éteintes. Intervenir sur la vie publique n’est possible que seulement dans une mesure limitée, parce que d’innombrables disciples de Mammon pourraient profiter illégalement de cela, pour essayer d’acquérir ce que la Bonté de Dieu voudrait enlever à l'homme pour le salut de son âme, parce qu'il doit exister des biens terrestres pour mettre à l'épreuve la force de l'homme et pour en détourner sa volonté et son désir ardent, parce que seul un renoncement à de tels stimuli alléchants peut entrainer la séparation de l'âme et de la matière. Si maintenant le Bras de Dieu voulait s'étendre sur tous les propriétaires, en enlevant ou en détruisant par la force leurs possessions, alors cela ne permettrait jamais un libre rejet volontaire délibéré pour atteindre cette marche spirituelle avec la pleine volonté et donc toutes les tentations doivent rester dans le monde justement pour l'âme, pour que l'homme se dépasse lui-même et se détache du désir pour tout ce que le monde offre. Mais maintenant les hommes tendent à l'argent et à la possession d’une manière épouvantable en pensant seulement à cela et jamais au salut de leur âme, alors dans un tel temps il y a un immense danger pour l'humanité et ce danger peut être affrontés seulement par le Seigneur, afin que la caducité de toute possession terrestre soit mise devant les yeux des hommes à travers des catastrophes naturelles, des maladies et d’autres événements, qui diminuent les possessions et les font même parfois disparaître entièrement, sans que les autres cotés soient touchés pour que l’incitation pour le péché diminue et que les hommes reconnaissent facilement l'Auteur de leurs présumés dommages; cela doit les amener à bien réfléchir, lorsqu’est clairement reconnaissable et perceptible l'Intervention d'une Puissance supérieure.

Ce que l'homme croit posséder avec trop de sécurité et voudrait protéger craintivement du monde et du prochain, parce qu’il veut le posséder pour lui seul, est une abomination devant Dieu. Qui partage volontairement avec le prochain son avoir et son patrimoine, alors qu’il ne possède que le juste nécessaire, qui avec son surplus soutient les pauvres, ses biens remplissent leur véritable but et même sont conservés voire même augmentés. L'homme n'aura jamais à craindre d'arriver dans une grande misère, lorsqu’il s’efforce toujours d'adoucir la misère des pauvres, parce que comme il mesure, il sera mesuré. Quelqu‘un qui pense toujours seulement à son bien-être, doit se rendre compte que le Seigneur lui fera sentir Sa présence et prendra la Main sur lui là où il est le plus sensible à saisir, afin que lui soit enlevé son avoir et son patrimoine, et son présumé niveau de vie sera mis à mal, alors seulement l'âme devra s’affirmer, afin qu'elle éprouve l’envie de sortir de la misère corporelle et de tout faire pour vivre complaisamment au Seigneur et de tendre aux biens spirituels. Sur la Terre le pouvoir de l'argent et du patrimoine sont importants, mais pas dans l'Éternité. Là tout sera caduc, les âmes de ceux qui considéraient le pouvoir et la richesse comme des dieux vivront dans un état très humble, tandis que ceux qui n’étaient pas enclins aux biens du monde et en ont reconnu la nullité seront placés dans une position plus élevée.
