Renegades.... honour and glory.... earthly reward.... gods....

Woe to the apostates who recognized Me and yet left Me again.... Their fate will not be easy in the hereafter.... They rejected, although they recognized what was right, and now bear witness against Me, for they are more tempted by earthly power and favour than by the crown I promised to My own.... And so their life on earth will certainly leave nothing to be desired in terms of honour, fame and prestige, yet they sacrifice their soul to it and depart from the world in poverty.... Whoever claims fame and honour for himself will be without My grace, for only the humble are entitled to it.... everything that pays its tribute to the world must also receive its reward from the world, and this will be meagre for the soul. If you are offered the food of heaven, you will stand high above them, for you will be granted divine favour where they crave human recognition. There are no people so great before God that they should be celebrated like gods.... Everything breathes only self-love, imperiousness and pride.... The free man feels this and turns away, whereas the slaves of the world and its rulers unite and offer their gods the sacrifice of their subservience....

Thus countless people do not see the coming time as a spiritually revolutionary turning point.... instead, they only pay attention to earthly goings-on and do not focus their attention on the most important thing, how God Himself relates to all earthly events. How many thoughts people give to trivial problems and how unimportant the one problem seems to them.... the question for what purpose they are here on earth.... And it is certainly such a desolate time that they would have to turn their attention to their inner life and would like to pay full attention to every time phenomena, in what connection these are with the eternal deity. Life's only task is to redeem the soul.... it is infinitely more important than to raise perpetual questions of controversy which have absolutely no connection with spiritual fulfilment.

O, what strength these people waste on trivialities and how poorly they consider their own soul.... which is far more in need of help in adversity and misery.... As a result, live peacefully side by side, you who are all My creatures, and make no distinction between the value of the peoples.... Have I not created them all, and who will presume to be the most valuable of their kind? If you had grasped the true meaning of life, then the noble instinct should prevail in your hearts, which turns to protect the oppressed and abhors the oppressor. The time of suffering on earth will still teach you many things.... But before you do not become humble and stretch out your hands, pleading for help.... until you first give glory to God and recognize Jesus Christ as the son of God, the suffering on earth will not turn away from you, for He Who took all guilt upon Himself and suffered on the cross for mankind.... He was one of the least of these and had all power to exalt Himself as king of the people.... He remained poor like His poorest brothers on earth, He was a friend and saviour of all the poor, and His redemption was the ignominious death on the cross.... Whoever on earth becomes a partaker of worldly honours is far inferior to the lord Jesus Christ.... He must first descend from his throne and humbly bow his knees before Him, the crucified.... before the ruler of the universe and all creatures.... so that He may raise him from the dust and draw him to His father's heart....

Afvalligen - Eer - Roem - Aards loon - Goden

Wee de afvalligen die Mij erkenden en Mij toch weer verlaten hebben.

Hun lot in het hiernamaals zal niet gemakkelijk zijn.

Hoewel ze inzagen wat juist was, verwierpen ze het en leggen nu getuigenis af tegen Mij, want aardse macht en gratie bekoort hen meer dan de kroon die Ik de mijnen beloofd heb.

En zo zal hun leven op aarde weliswaar aan eer, roem en aanzien niets te wensen overlaten, maar ze offeren er hun ziel aan op en verlaten armzalig de wereld.

Wie roem en eer voor zichzelf opeist, zal zonder mijn genade zijn, want ze komt alleen de deemoedige toe. Voor alles wat men bijdraagt aan de wereld, moet van de wereld ook het loon in ontvangst worden genomen. En dit zal karig zijn voor de ziel. Als je de hemelse spijs geboden wordt, sta je hoog boven hen, want jij ontvangt goddelijke genade, terwijl zij naar de goedkeuring van de mensen verlangen. Er zijn geen mensen zo groot voor God dat ze zoals goden aanbeden zouden moeten worden.

Alles ademt slechts eigenliefde, heerszucht en trots.

De vrije mens voelt dit en wendt zich af. De slaven van de wereld en hun heersers verenigen zich daarentegen en brengen hun goden het offer van hun onderdanigheid.

Zo bekijken ontelbare mensen de komende tijd niet als een geestelijk revolutionaire wending. Ze letten eerder alleen maar op de aardse bedrijvigheid en ze vestigen hun aandacht niet op het belangrijkste, hoe God zelf zich tot alle aardse gebeurtenissen verhoudt.

Hoeveel zorgen maken mensen zich om nietige problemen en hoe onbelangrijk lijkt voor hen het ene probleem, de vraag met welk doel ze hier op aarde zijn.

En het is beslist zo een troosteloze tijd dat ze hun blik op hun innerlijk leven zouden moeten richten en te allen tijde met grote interesse op de verschijnselen zouden moeten letten om te zien in welke verhouding ze tot de eeuwige Godheid staan. De enige opdracht in het leven is de verlossing van de ziel. Het is oneindig veel belangrijker dan voortdurend strijdvragen op te werpen die met de vervolmaking van de ziel absoluut niets te maken hebben. Oh, welke kracht verspillen deze mensen aan nietigheden en hoe weinig denken ze aan hun eigen ziel, die in nood en ellende veel meer hulp nodig heeft. Leef in het vervolg vreedzaam samen, jullie, die toch allemaal mijn schepselen zijn en maak geen waardeverschil tussen de volkeren.

Heb ik hen niet allemaal geschapen, en wie wil zich aanmatigen de waardevolste te zijn onder zijn gelijken?

Als jullie de ware zin van het leven begrepen zouden hebben, dan zou de edele neiging in jullie hart moeten overheersen om je naar de mensen in nood toe te keren en hen te beschermen en om met afschuw de verdrukker te mijden.

De tijd van lijden op aarde zal jullie nog zoveel leren.

Maar zolang jullie niet deemoedig worden en jullie handen uitstrekken om hulp te vragen, zolang jullie God niet eerst de eer geven en Jezus Christus als Gods Zoon aanvaarden, zolang zal ook het lijden op aarde niet van jullie afgewend worden. Want Hij die alle schuld op zich nam en aan het kruis voor de mensen geleden heeft,

Hij was één van de geringste en had alle macht om zich te verheffen tot koning van het volk.

Hij bleef arm zoals Zijn armste broeders op aarde. Hij was een vriend en redder van alle armen en Zijn verlossing was de smadelijke dood aan het kruis.

Wie op aarde wereldlijk eerbetoon krijgt, staat ver achter bij de Heer Jezus Christus.

Hij moet eerst van zijn troon afdalen en deemoedig zijn knie buigen voor Hem, de Gekruisigde, voor de Heerser van het heelal en van alle schepselen, opdat Hij hem uit het stof verheft en hem aan Zijn vaderhart drukt.
