5492 Communion.... Bread and Wine....

September 21, 1952: Book 60

So then come to the Lord's table in a believing devotion, gather together in My name and receive My bread and My wine.... listen to My Word which I convey to you from above through My servants, the Word which I Myself speak to you who want to hear Me. And your soul will be strengthened, it will refresh itself at the source of life, I will personally offer it bread and wine, the nourishment it needs in order to reach perfection.... It is the manna which is offered to you from heaven, the proper food for you, and nothing on earth can replace this heavenly food, and the soul who was sick and weak before will recover and become strong.... I Myself as a Physician and Savior of all sick and weak truly give you the best remedy, for I know what the soul lacks, I also know what exclusively can help it.... My Word, which is the direct emanation of Myself, My Word, which is light and power and which you humans urgently need if you want to fulfill your life-task on earth, to become what you once were in the beginning. Even though by means of your own fault, your have lost everything that revealed your divine origin; you have divested yourselves of everything that is characteristic of a divine being, you have become weak and miserable, darkened in spirit and powerless, you have no realization and therefore can no longer be active the way you once were destined to be. But you cannot perish either, you cannot disintegrate into nothing but you remain in existence as spiritual beings, only in a degree of imperfection which makes you completely incapable of becoming active according to My will. But I don't want you to remain in this degree of imperfection, I want to help you to become again what you once were, and therefore I want to impart to you at an already reached degree of maturity that which can shape you into completely different beings.... I want to impart strength and light to you, I want to supply you with spiritual nourishment which, like bread and wine, can awaken your soul's life that lies in a deep sleep and ought to awaken again, to My joy and its own as well. Without nourishment, without the supply of strength, it will never be able to rise, yet it may constantly feast on the bread of heaven, and a truly refreshing wine will be handed to it which will take away its weakness, it will recover from illness and weakness, it will be strengthened into a new life as soon as you humans only ever approach My table, which I continuously set with gifts of My love.... My servants will give you bread and wine from the heavens, and thus you will have supper with Me and I with you, if only you let Me enter when I knock, just as you open your ear and heart to accept My gifts of love, for it is My will that you become healthy in your souls, I want all of the weakness leave you, I want you to become light and bright, which can only happen if you let yourselves be given food and water by Me Myself, if you listen to My Word which is commanded to you from above and if you also comply with this Word of Mine.... if you let the strength of the bread and the wine work upon you.... if you live a life of love for Me and your neighbor according to My Word.... You then are in truth My guests with whom I take supper, you then receive bread and wine and you will no longer be dead in spirit, you will live for eternity....
