5466 Testing the power of the divine Word in an adversity....

August 20, 1952: Book 60

When you are in distress, when you are burdened by spiritual or earthly worries, you all should test the power of My Word. My Word will always be the right help for you, it will convey comfort and strength to you, it will lift you up, it will be a counsellor you can truly rely on, for I Myself am with you in the Word and I will never leave you without help, without advice and without strength. My Word will also show you the path you ought to take in order to get rid of your worry, through My Word I will also tell you when and where you act wrongly and how you can get back on the right path when you have left it. My Word is always the bond between us, and if you thus accept My Word within you, you draw Me to yourselves, and you will then also present your heartfelt concerns to Me, I can gain insight into your world of thoughts because you let Me be present in you the moment you listen to My Word in your desire for Me. Try it out if you are burdened with worries of any kind.... Take refuge in My Word and the burden will fall off you, your heart will become light and free if you sincerely desire that I Myself speak to you. The power of My Word is strong enough to take away the burdens that weigh you down. My Word is My address to you which will truly touch you in such a way that you will be relieved of all worries and anxiety, you just have to let it take effect on you, you have to let Me speak to you, because I would like to give you comfort and strength at all times but can only do so if I am approached for it actively. But anyone who takes refuge in My Word in the adversity of body and soul professes faith in My love and My might to be able to help the one, and the one will certainly be helped. Let Me speak to you again and again by the Word so that I can now influence you with My grace and My power.

The bond you enter into with Me in the desire to hear Me Myself in the Word will also enable you to grasp everything I want to say to you, you will recognize your faults, you will recognize the cause of your worries and My will will become apparent to you as to how you can deal with your faults and weaknesses.... I help you in word and deed to master your worries, for all evil will only come upon you that you take refuge in Me and appeal for help to Me and that you listen to Me when I speak to you.... I am with you personally in the Word, and therefore My Word will fill you with strength the moment you need such....
