Gedanken sind Verbindungsströme vom Jenseits und der Erde....

Die Bindung von der Erde zur geistigen Welt kann jederzeit bestehen, weil die Gedanken hin und her gehen können, d.h., weil die Gedanken im Grunde die Verbindungsstrahlen sind, die im geistigen Reich ausgesendet werden und von den Menschen auf der Erde aufgefangen und auch wieder in anderer Form zurückgesendet werden können. Also besteht gleichfort die Verbindung von oben zu unten, die nicht geleugnet werden kann. Doch zumeist sind diese Verbindungen noch unbewußt dem Menschen, denn solange er noch nicht gläubig ist und durch die Liebe zu einer gewissen Erkenntnis gelangt ist, weiß er noch nicht um den Zusammenhang der geistigen mit der irdischen Welt. Und darum kann er auch nicht kontrollieren, mit welchem Reich er in Verbindung steht durch sein Denken.... Denn sowohl aus dem Reiche des Lichtes als auch aus dem Reiche der Finsternis können die Gedankenströmungen kommen, die er aufnimmt, die er aber selbst bestimmen kann durch seinen Willen. Sowie er gläubig ist, verlangt er auch nach Licht, sein Wille ist Gott als dem ewigen Licht zugewandt und wird ihm nun auch die Zuleitung aus dem Reiche des Lichtes sichern. Sein Denken wird gut sein, denn er nimmt bewußt gute Gedankenströme auf, und er wehret ab, was aus dem Reiche der Finsternis ihm zugetragen wird. Sein Wille bestimmt das Herz, aufzunehmen und dem Verstand weiterzugeben, was als Gedankenströmung aus dem Reiche des Lichtes ihn berührt....

So also ist das gute, Gott-gewollte Denken zu erklären, das unweigerlich der Mensch von sich geben wird, der im Glauben und in der Liebe lebt. Das Verlangen, Gott zu dienen, wird nun einen solchen recht denkenden Menschen dazu treiben, seine Erkenntnisse, seine Gedanken, dem Mitmenschen mitzuteilen, ihn gleichsam in das gleiche Denken zu leiten, weil es ihn selbst beglückt. Und dieser Wille ist Gott wohlgefällig.... Und er wird auch stets Unterstützung finden, denn ein rechter Wille ist das erste, um die Menschen zur Höhe gelangen zu lassen. Es hat nun jeder gute Gedanke gleichsam bei Gott seinen Ursprung, er kann niemals als widergöttlich abgetan werden, er ist die von Gott ausgehende Kraft, die von Lichtwesen aufgefangen und weitergeleitet wird, bis er das Herz des Menschen berührt und von diesem angenommen wird.... Und solche guten Gedanken werden auch niemals ihre Wirkung verfehlen auf die Mitmenschen, die eines guten Willens sind.... Es ist aber dennoch ein großer Unterschied zwischen dem durch Verstandestätigkeit gewonnenen Gedankengut.... also dem Nützen geistiger Kraft durch den Verstand.... und dem direkten Zuleiten geistigen Gedankengutes durch Gottes große Liebe.... (11.9.1952) Es stellt der Verstand für die Zeit des Zuleitens seine Tätigkeit ein, dafür aber tritt die Seele als Empfangsgerät in Tätigkeit. Das geistige Ohr öffnet sich, und die Gedankenströme aus dem geistigen Reich ergießen sich, und sie werden aufgefangen. Die Strahlungen aus dem Lichtreich berühren das geistige Ohr, dieses leitet es der Seele zu, sie fühlt sich angesprochen, sie "empfängt", gibt es weiter an den Verstand, der es mechanisch aufnimmt, die körperlichen Organe in Tätigkeit setzt, es festzuhalten, und nachher erst sich mit dem Empfangenen auseinandersetzt, d.h. durch eigenes Nachdenken, durch Verstandestätigkeit, zu geistigem Eigentum werden lässet. Empfangen setzt immer einen Geber oder Sender voraus, im Gegensatz zur Eigenproduktion, zu einem Ergebnis durch eigene Arbeit, in diesem Falle reger Verstandestätigkeit. Gott Selbst will etwas geben, was die Menschen nicht besitzen und auch sich nicht selbst schaffen können.... Darum leitet Er Sein Wort zur Erde und durch das Wort ein Wissen, das der Wahrheit entspricht, das kein Mensch aus eigener Kraft erstehen lassen könnte, das nur angenommen zu werden braucht, um es zu besitzen. Gott belehrt den Menschen, die Lichtwelt belehrt ihn.... immer aber durch den Geist, der in dem Menschen selbst untätig ruht so lange, bis der Wille des Menschen ihn bestimmt, sich zu entäußern.... bis das geistige Reich dem Menschen mehr gilt als das irdische Reich.... bis der Mensch die Bindung eingeht mit Gott und dadurch Zugang findet zu dem Reich, von dem ihm die Wahrheit kommt.... (12.9.1952) So Gott Selbst aber den Menschen belehrt, wird ihm die Wahrheit, als das rechte Wissen, gegeben.... Es wird nicht von ihm verlangt, eine Verstandesarbeit zu leisten, sondern aus dem Herzen steigen die Gedanken empor, die der Geist im Menschen erweckt.... der, weil er Anteil ist des göttlichen Vatergeistes, nur wahrheitsgemäße Gedanken erzeugen kann, die das Seelenohr vernimmt und sie anerkennet, sie darum anerkennen muß, weil dem Menschen zugleich mit der Wahrheit auch die Urteilsfähigkeit gegeben wird für das Rechte und Wahre. Es kann sich wohl auch der Mensch als von Gott gelehrt betrachten, dessen Verstand eifrig tätig ist durch inniges Gebet zu Gott um Seine Erleuchtung.... Dann glaubt er, das gedankliche Ergebnis sich selbst erarbeitet zu haben, es ist ihm aber dennoch durch seinen Geist zugegangen, doch in nicht ungewöhnlicher Weise. Anders aber ist es, wenn die Wahrheit von Gott zur Erde geleitet wird, wenn Gott einen Menschen belehret durch das innere Wort.... Dann empfängt dieser unmittelbar durch wörtliche Übertragung ein umfangreiches Wissen, das er zuvor nicht besaß, das nicht als Unterbewußtsein in ihm schlummert und das er nicht durch Gedankenarbeit gewinnt.... Und doch kommt es von innen, denn es ist der göttliche Geist im Menschen, der zu ihm spricht, der ihm das Wissen so vermittelt, daß es als gesprochenes Wort die Seele berührt, daß es im Herzen als Gedanke auftaucht, der nicht vom Menschen geformt wird nach eigenem Willen, sondern der sich selbst formt zu Worten tiefster Bedeutung, die der Mensch als bereitwilliger Empfänger, so wie vernommen, niederschreibt.... Es ist dies ein ungewöhnlicher Vorgang insofern, als daß kein anderer Quell zu entdecken ist als das Innere des Menschen; es ist das lebendige Wasser, das dem Leib dessen entströmt, den Gott Selbst belehret durch Seinen Geist.... Denn der göttliche Geist ist der Urquell, der wahrlich des Lebenswassers hat in Fülle.... Doch die Menschheit geht daran vorüber, nur sehr wenige erquicken sich an dem Wasser des Lebens, nur sehr wenige Menschen wissen um die reine Wahrheit aus Gott und stärken sich daran und stehen dadurch auch in Verbindung mit der geistigen Welt, aus der das Licht kommt, die Wahrheit und das Leben....

Thoughts are connecting currents from the beyond and earth....

The connection from earth to the spiritual world can exist at any time because thoughts can go back and forth, that is, because thoughts are basically the connecting rays which are sent out in the spiritual kingdom and can be picked up by people on earth and also sent back again in a different form. So the connection from above to below continues to exist and cannot be denied. Yet for the most part people are still unaware of these connections, for as long as they are not yet believers and have attained a certain realisation through love they are not yet aware of the connection between the spiritual and the earthly world. And therefore they are also unable to control which kingdom they are in contact with through their thoughts.... For the currents of thought they receive can come from the kingdom of light as well as from the kingdom of darkness, but human can determine them himself through his will. As soon as he is a believer he also desires light, his will is turned towards God as the Eternal Light and shall now also ensure him the supply from the kingdom of light. His thinking will be good, for he consciously receives good streams of thought, and he rejects what is brought to him from the realm of darkness. His will determines the heart to take in and pass on to the intellect that which is brought to him as a stream of thoughts from the kingdom of light. This explains the good, God-willed thinking which will inevitably be expressed by a person who lives in faith and love. The desire to serve God will now drive such a right-thinking person to communicate his realisations, his thoughts, to his fellow human being, to lead him, as it were, into the same thinking, because it makes him happy himself. And this will is pleasing to God.... And it will also always find support, for a right will is the first thing that enables people to reach the heights. Every good thought originates from God, as it were, it can never be dismissed as anti-divine, it is the strength emanating from God which is intercepted and passed on by beings of light until it touches the human being's heart and is accepted by him.... And such good thoughts will never fail to have an effect on fellow human beings who are of good will.... Nevertheless, there is a great difference between the thought material gained through intellectual activity...., thus the utilisation of spiritual power through the intellect.... and the direct transmission of spiritual thought material through God's great love.... (11.9.1952) The intellect stops its activity for the time of transmission, but instead the soul becomes active as a receiving device. The spiritual ear opens and the streams of thought from the spiritual realm pour out and are received. The radiations from the realm of light touch the spiritual ear, which directs the light to the soul, it feels addressed, it "receives", passes it on to the intellect, which receives it mechanically, sets the bodily organs into activity to hold on to it, and only afterwards deals with what it has received, that is, through its own reflection, through intellectual activity, allows it to become spiritual property. Receiving always presupposes a giver or transmitter, in contrast to self-production, to a result through one's own labour, in this case brisk intellectual activity. God Himself wants to give something that people do not possess and cannot create for themselves.... This is why He transmits His Word to earth and through the Word He gives knowledge which corresponds to the truth, which no human being could create by his own strength, which only needs to be accepted in order to be gained. God teaches the human being, the world of light teaches him.... but always through the spirit, which rests inactive in the human being himself until man’s will determines him to externalise himself.... until the spiritual kingdom is more important to him than the earthly kingdom.... until the human being enters into a bond with God and thereby finds access to the kingdom from which the truth comes to him.... (12.9.1952) But if God Himself teaches the human being, he will be given the truth as the right knowledge.... He is not required to do intellectual work but the thoughts arise from the heart which are awakened in the human being by the spirit.... which, because it is part of the Divine Father-Spirit, can only generate truthful thoughts which the ear of the soul hears and recognises, and it must therefore recognise them, because the human being is also given the ability to judge what is right and true. A person whose intellect is eagerly active through heartfelt prayer to God, asking for His enlightenment, can certainly also consider himself taught by God.... Then he believes that he has worked out the mental result himself, but it has nevertheless come to him through his spirit, but not in an unusual way.

But it is different when the truth is conveyed to earth by God, when God instructs a person through the inner Word.... Then he directly receives an extensive knowledge through literal transmission which he did not previously possess, which does not lie dormant in him as a subconscious and which he does not gain through mental labour.... And yet it comes from within, for it is the divine spirit within the human being which speaks to him, which imparts the knowledge to him such that it touches the soul as a spoken word, that it emerges in the heart as a thought which is not moulded by the human being according to his own will but which moulds itself into words of deepest meaning which the human being, as a willing recipient, writes down as heard....

This is an unusual process insofar as that no other source can be discovered than the human’s inner being; it is the living water which flows forth from the body of the one whom God Himself instructs through His spirit.... For the divine spirit is the original source which truly has an abundance of the water of life.... Yet humanity passes it by, only very few refresh themselves with the water of life, only very few people know about the pure truth from God and strengthen themselves with it and are thereby also in contact with the spiritual world, from which the light comes, the truth and the life....
