Liebe und Glaube....

Die Liebe und der Glaube fehlt den Menschen, und das ist ihr Verderben. Ihre verhärteten Herzen, die nur sich selbst lieben und für den notleidenden Mitmenschen kein Gefühl aufbringen können, sind auch unfähig, zu glauben an einen Schöpfer des Himmels und der Erde, denn der Glaube geht aus der Liebe hervor, der Glaube wird erst durch die Liebe lebendig. Und darum ist zur Zeit des Endes die große geistige Not, der Zustand der Finsternis und der Sünde. Denn ohne Liebe und ohne Glaube gibt es auch für die Menschen kein Licht und keine Erkenntnis; und darum erliegen sie dem Gegner Gottes, dem Fürsten der Finsternis, der bar jeder Liebe ist und diese auch in den Menschen zum Erlöschen bringt. Die Menschen sind völlig ohne Leben, denn das irdische Leben ist nur kurz, und dann verfallen sie dem geistigen Tode, der entsetzlich qualvoll ist, weil es kein Ausgelöschtsein für die Seele gibt, aber ein Leben nicht denkbar ist in dem Zustand, in dem sich die Seele befindet nach ihrem Leibestode. Denn Liebe und Glaube allein sind Leben-erweckend, wo Liebe und Glaube fehlt, dort ist Tod. Denn Liebe und Glaube sichern den Zusammenschluß mit Gott, ohne Gott aber gibt es kein Leben, ohne Gott ist Finsternis und Kraftlosigkeit und also ein Zustand der Untätigkeit, der Inbegriff des Todes.... Die Menschen glauben nur, was sie sehen, und sie lieben nur sich selbst. Alles Geistige, ihnen nicht Greifbare oder Sichtbare lehnen sie ab, eben weil sie keine Liebe in sich haben, die als göttliches Prinzip auch den Glauben an Gott aufleben lassen würde, weil dann Gott Selbst im Menschen wirken könnte und Seine Gegenwart ihm auch zur inneren Überzeugung würde. Doch ohne Liebe ist das Herz stumm, es ist Gott fern und spüret nicht Seine Kraft. Und also ist auch der Verstand nicht dazu zu bewegen, eine Wesenheit anzuerkennen, Die Schöpfer alles dessen ist, was den Menschen umgibt. Das Herz kann den Verstand nicht belehren, weil es selbst jeder Belehrung unzugänglich ist, denn die mangelnde Liebe verhindert das Wirken des Geistes, der von innen heraus den Menschen belehrt und ihm gefühlsmäßig die Wahrheit unterbreitet. Wo Liebe und Glaube fehlen, dort ist es still im menschlichen Herzen, und die Seele ist in großer Not. Um den Menschen aber zur Liebe zu gestalten, ist viel irdische Not erforderlich, auf daß er von dem Elend der Mitmenschen berührt und der Liebesfunke in ihm entzündet werde.... Dann erst beginnt die eigene geistige Not zu schwinden, dann erst wird es hell in seinem Herzen, und dann erwägt der Verstand die Fragen, die ihm Aufschluß geben über seine Bestimmung, über seinen Schöpfer von Ewigkeit und sein Verhältnis zu Ihm.... Dann erst lernt er glauben, und je tätiger die Liebe in ihm wird, desto überzeugter wird auch sein Glaube, und die geistige Finsternis weicht dem Licht des Tages, der rechten Erkenntnis und dem Leben.... Liebe und Glaube bestimmen das Leben in der Ewigkeit, wie sie aber auch auf Erden schon den Geisteszustand des Menschen erhellen. Denn ohne Liebe und Glaube gibt es keine geistige Wiedergeburt und keinen Zusammenschluß mit Gott, ohne Liebe und Glaube gibt es keine Erlösung, und es bleibt die Seele ewig in der Nacht des Todes. Denn sie ist ferne von Gott und kann darum auch nicht selig sein....

Love and faith....

People lack love and faith and this is their undoing. Their hardened hearts, which only love themselves and cannot muster any feeling for their suffering fellow human beings, are also incapable of believing in a creator of heaven and earth, for faith comes forth from love, faith only comes alive through love. And that is why at the time of the end there is great spiritual hardship, the state of darkness and sin. For without love and without faith there is no light and no knowledge for people either; and therefore they succumb to God's adversary, the prince of darkness, who is devoid of all love and also extinguishes it in people. People are completely without life, for earthly life is only short and then they succumb to spiritual death, which is dreadfully agonizing because there is no extinction for the soul but life is inconceivable in the state the soul is in after its physical death. For love and faith alone are life-awakening, where love and faith are missing, there is death. For love and faith secure the union with God, but without God there is no life, without God there is darkness and powerlessness and thus a state of inactivity, the epitome of death.... People only believe what they see, and they only love themselves. They reject everything spiritual, which is not tangible or visible to them, precisely because they have no love within themselves which, as a divine principle, would also revive faith in God, because then God Himself could work in the human being and His presence would also become an inner conviction for him. But without love the heart is mute, it is far from God and does not feel His strength. And thus the intellect cannot be moved to acknowledge a being Which is the creator of everything that surrounds the human being. The heart cannot instruct the intellect because it is itself inaccessible to all instruction, for the lack of love prevents the working of the spirit which instructs the human being from within and emotionally presents the truth to him. Where love and faith are lacking, the human heart is silent and the soul is in great distress. But in order to shape the human being into love, much earthly hardship is necessary so that he will be touched by the misery of his fellow human beings and the spark of love will be ignited in him.... Only then will his own spiritual hardship begin to fade away, only then will his heart become light, and only then will his intellect consider the questions which provide him with information about his destiny, about his creator of eternity and his relationship with Him.... Only then will he learn to believe, and the more active love becomes in him the more convinced his faith will also become, and the spiritual darkness will give way to the light of day, to right knowledge and to life.... Love and faith determine life in eternity, but they also illuminate the human being's spiritual state on earth. For without love and faith there is no spiritual rebirth and no union with God, without love and faith there is no redemption, and the soul remains eternally in the night of death. For it is far from God and therefore cannot be blissfully happy either....
