Enttäuschung der Menschen - Besserung.... Göttlicher Eingriff....

Eine große Enttäuschung werden die Menschen erleben, die sich eine Besserung der Lebenslage erhoffen und jegliche Arbeit verrichten im Hinblick auf eine bessere Zeit. Sie glauben, sich durch Menschenhände und Menschenwillen das Leben umgestalten zu können, sie glauben an einen Aufstieg in jeder Hinsicht, sie führen alle Arbeiten aus, die einer Versorgung auf lange Sicht hinaus gleichkommen, sie sind überaus mühsam in unwichtigen Dingen, aber das Wichtigste lassen sie unbeachtet.... Fürsorge zu treffen für das jenseitige Leben. Ihre Gedanken kreisen ständig um irdische Pflichten, um irdische Genüsse, um irdischen Wohlstand. Das geistige Leben aber ist ihnen völlig gleichgültig, und so ist es verständlich, daß sie von Gott abstreben, wenngleich sie Seinen Namen im Munde führen, denn die Reize der Welt sind stärker, und die Welt ist Anteil dessen, der Gott entgegenarbeitet und Ihn verdrängen will. Und da sie dem Gegner Gottes mehr Rechte einräumen durch ihr Verlangen, wird ihnen auch erfüllt, was sie begehren, doch von ihrer Seele nimmt er gleichfalls Besitz, und ein Lösen aus seiner Gewalt erfordert eine Willensstärke, die irdisch gesinnte Menschen nicht aufbringen. Für diese Menschen wird die Enttäuschung übergroß sein, so die Erde heimgesucht wird durch göttlichen Willen, so die Naturkatastrophe alle ihre Hoffnungen zunichte machen und sie in äußerst dürftige Lebenslagen versetzen wird, die allen ihren Plänen und Hoffnungen widersprechen. Es wird eine bittere Zeit sein für alle Weltmenschen, die sie kaum ertragen können, denn nun sehen sie die Unmöglichkeit einer besseren Lebensführung ein und sind zu keiner aufbauenden Arbeit fähig. Sie murren und klagen und lehnen einen Schöpfer und Erhalter aller Dinge ab, denn sie vermögen Gott nicht zu erkennen in jener Not, die durch das Vernichtungswerk eingetreten ist. Eine geistige Erklärung der kommenden Zeit nehmen sie nicht an, denn ihre weltliche Einstellung nimmt ihnen jede Fähigkeit einer rechten Beurteilung, und daher werden sie völlig ratlos der neugeschaffenen Lage gegenüberstehen, bis Gott Sich ihrer erbarmt und sie entweder von der Erde nimmt oder ihnen erneute Möglichkeit gibt, Kenntnis zu nehmen von Seinem Wort, um sich ernstlich umstellen zu können, so sie dazu den Willen aufbringen. Dennoch ist es die einzige Möglichkeit, denn der Hang nach der Welt ist zu groß, als daß er abgelegt würde, wenn nicht Gott mit diesem Zerstörungswerk gleichzeitig eine Hilfsaktion verbunden hätte, um ihnen zum Lösen von der Materie Gelegenheit zu geben. Denn diese muß als erstes überwunden werden, will der Mensch selig werden, will er auf Erden seine eigentliche Aufgabe kennenlernen und sie zu erfüllen trachten. Es ist der göttliche Eingriff durch die Natur das letzte Hilfsmittel, im freien Willen sich dem geistigen Streben zuzuwenden und die Erde mit ihren Reizen überwinden zu lernen....

Disappointment of the people - improvement.... divine intervention....

A great disappointment will be experienced by those people who hope for an improvement of the situation in life and do all kinds of work with the prospect of a better time. They believe they can reshape their lives through human hands and human will, they believe in an advancement in every respect, they carry out all work which amounts to provision for the long term, they are exceedingly hard-working in unimportant things, but they leave the most important thing unattended.... to make provision for the life beyond. Their thoughts constantly revolve around earthly duties, earthly pleasures, earthly prosperity. But they are completely indifferent to spiritual life, and thus it is understandable that they strive away from God even though they talk about His name, for the world's charms are stronger and the world is part of the one who works against God and wants to displace Him. And since they concede more rights to God's adversary through their desire, what they desire will also be granted to them, yet he will also take possession of their soul and a release from his control requires a strength of will which earthly-minded people cannot muster. For these people the disappointment will be overwhelming if the earth is afflicted by divine will, if the natural disaster destroys all their hopes and places them into extremely meagre living conditions which contradict all their plans and hopes. It will be a bitter time for all worldly-minded people which they can hardly bear, for now they realise the impossibility of a better way of life and are incapable of any constructive work. They grumble and complain and reject a creator and sustainer of all things, for they are unable to recognise God in this adversity which has occurred through the work of destruction. They will not accept a spiritual explanation of the coming time, for their worldly attitude deprives them of all ability to make a right assessment and therefore they will be completely at a loss in the face of the newly created situation until God has mercy upon them and either takes them from earth or gives them a renewed opportunity to take note of His word in order to be able to change seriously, if they muster the will to do so. Nevertheless, it is the only possibility, for the inclination towards the world is too great to be discarded if God had not simultaneously combined this work of destruction with an action of help in order to give them the opportunity to detach themselves from matter. For this must first be overcome if the human being wants to be saved, if he wants to get to know his actual task on earth and strive to fulfil it. Divine intervention through nature is the last means of help to turn to spiritual striving in free will and to learn to overcome the earth with its charms.
