Warnung vor dem Ende.... Geistiger Niedergang....

Unverkennbar geht die Menschheit dem geistigen Niedergang entgegen, denn sie verfolgt nur noch ein irdisches Ziel.... die Verbesserung des leiblichen Lebens, der irdischen Verhältnisse und die Vermehrung irdischen Besitzes. Alles dieses ist aber der eigentlichen Bestimmung zuwidergerichtet, denn die Bestimmung des Menschen ist, irdische Begehren zu überwinden und nur geistige Ziele anzustreben, also sich geistig zur Höhe zu entwickeln. So aber der geistige Niedergang offensichtlich erkennbar ist, müssen noch die letzten Mittel angewandt werden, um diesen aufzuhalten oder einzelne Menschen davor zurückzuhalten. Und darum erlebt die Erde ein übergroßes Maß von Leiden, aus denen die Menschen ihren Nutzen ziehen sollen.... abzulassen von irdischen Wünschen und Begierden und statt dessen geistig zu streben. Sowie das Leid diesen Zweck erfüllt, ist es nicht vergeblich den Menschen auferlegt worden, und der Segen des Leides wird nicht abzuleugnen sein. Denn nun erst verfolgt der Mensch sein Ziel, und nun erst reifet die Seele, d.h., sie sucht den Zusammenschluß mit Gott und formt sich nach Seinem Willen.... Doch nur ein kleiner Teil der Menschheit wird diesen Zusammenschluß mit Gott bewußt anstreben und sich trotz geistigem Niedergang aufwärtsentwickeln. Die Mehrzahl der Menschen aber ist nicht aufgeschlossen, und sie weisen auch jede Belehrung ab, wie sie zum Ziel gelangen können und welches Ziel dem einzelnen gesteckt ist. Doch Gott gibt ihm bis zum letzten Ende noch immerwährend Gelegenheit, sich zu wandeln, und Er zeigt ihm häufig genug die Vergänglichkeit irdischen Besitzes, so daß der denkende Mensch nun seine Gedanken in das geistige Reich schweifen läßt und aus diesem auch Antwort bekommen kann. Und es werden so manche Menschen abseits ihres Besitzes stehen und irdische Güter geringzuschätzen lernen, und jedes Lösen davon kettet sie mehr an das geistige Reich, das ihnen nun Ersatz zu bieten beginnt, sowie sie vom Schicksal karg bedacht werden und ihr irdischer Reichtum der Vernichtung anheimfällt. Dann beginnt auch für den Menschen ein neuer Abschnitt seines Erdenlebens.... er ist am Scheideweg angelangt und hat sich nach der rechten Richtung entschlossen, er strebt der Wahrheit entgegen und mit ihr der ewigen Gottheit, Die ihm nun überall entgegentritt, wenn auch zuvor noch unerkannt. Dann ist seine Seele gerettet vor dem geistigen Untergang, denn jegliches Streben zu Gott wird erfolgreich sein und den Menschen vor dem geistigen Verfall bewahren, und das Ende trifft ihn nicht unvorbereitet.... (26.11.1944) Denn das Ende steht kurz bevor.... Und es ist darum weitaus wichtiger, Vorkehrungen für seine Seele zu treffen, als das irdische Leben gestalten zu wollen zu seinen Gunsten. Es soll das irdische Leben nur noch genützet werden zu geistigem Streben, zur Arbeit an seiner Seele, es sollen geistige Bindungen gepflegt werden, geistige Gespräche geführt und der Not der irrenden Seelen gedacht werden, es soll ein jeder sich selbst zu wandeln suchen zur Liebe und also leben, als sei ein jeder Tag der letzte. Es soll die Verbindung mit der geistigen Welt aufrechterhalten werden, d.h., die Gedanken sollen immer suchend und fragend in das geistige Reich gerichtet sein, woher ihm auch die Antwort gedanklich zugeleitet wird.... Es sollen alle Vorkehrungen getroffen werden für ein baldiges Hinscheiden, jedoch nur in bezug auf das geistige Nachleben, nicht aber für die Welt, denn diese bestehet nicht mehr lange, und jede Sorge um das Wohlergehen des Körpers oder um irdischen Besitz ist unnütz.... Denn es geht dem Ende entgegen.... Ob das Ende nun schnell oder weniger schnell zu erwarten ist, ist belanglos, denn jeder Tag ist wichtig und soll darum nicht leichtgenommen werden, niemand soll aufschieben auf morgen, was er heut schon tun kann, denn er weiß nicht, ob er noch das Ende, das kurz bevorsteht, erleben wird. Und darum mahnet und warnet euch Gott schon lange zuvor, auf daß euch das Ende nicht überrascht, auf daß es euch nicht gänzlich unvorbereitet finde und ihr es fürchten müsset. Denn Gott will euch erretten, Er will euch bewahren vor einem nochmaligen Erdengang, Er will euch helfen, daß ihr nicht zu jenen gehört, die am Ende verdammt werden, die völlig zur Lieblosigkeit werden und darum dem Satan angehören. Darum sendet Er euch zuvor Seine Boten und gibt euch Kunde von dem, was euch erwartet; Er läßt euch nicht ungewarnt, Er spricht durch Seine Boten immer und immer wieder zu euch und ermahnet euch, eurer Seele zu gedenken, Er zeigt es euch, wie vergänglich irdisches Gut ist, und hilft euch dadurch, euch zu lösen von der Materie. Er bringt euch Sein Wort nahe und gibt euch dadurch Aufklärung über die Sünde und ihre Folgen, über die Folgen des verkehrten Willens und einem Leben ohne Liebe.... Er setzt euch aber auch in Kenntnis von dem Segen eines recht genützten Willens, von eurem Endziel und den Freuden des ewigen Lebens.... Er will euch hinüberziehen in das geistige Reich, wo Licht und Seligkeit ist, und vermittelt euch darum das Wissen durch Sein Wort. Doch es bleibt euch überlassen, ob ihr Seine liebevolle Fürsorge für euch auswertet und euch wandelt zur Liebe.... Doch das Ende kommt unwiderruflich, und selig, der sich vorbereitet, der die Welt lässet und nur das geistige Reich zu erringen trachtet.... Denn er wird das Ende nicht zu fürchten brauchen, weil er sein Leben in der Ewigkeit fortsetzet in Licht und Seligkeit....

Warning of the end.... spiritual decline....

Humanity is unmistakably heading towards spiritual decline, for it is only pursuing an earthly aim.... the improvement of physical life, earthly circumstances and the increase of earthly possessions. But all this is contrary to the actual purpose, for the human being's purpose is to overcome earthly desires and only strive towards spiritual aims, thus to develop spiritually upwards. But if the spiritual decline is obviously recognizable, the last means must still be used to stop it or to hold individual people back from it. And therefore the earth experiences an excessive amount of suffering from which people should derive their benefit.... to refrain from earthly desires and cravings and instead strive spiritually. As soon as suffering fulfils this purpose it has not been imposed on people in vain, and the blessing of suffering cannot be denied. For only now does the human being pursue his aim, and only now does the soul mature, i.e., it seeks union with God and shapes itself according to His will.... Yet only a small part of humanity will consciously strive for this union with God and develop upwards despite spiritual decline. The majority of people, however, are not open-minded, and they also reject every instruction as to how they can reach the aim and what aim is set for the individual. But God still gives him the opportunity to change until the last end, and He often enough shows him the transience of earthly possessions, so that the thinking person now lets his thoughts wander into the spiritual kingdom and can also receive an answer from it. And many people will stand apart from their possessions and learn to value earthly goods less, and every detachment from them chains them more to the spiritual kingdom, which now begins to offer them a substitute as soon as they are given meagrely by fate and their earthly wealth falls prey to destruction. Then a new phase of earthly life also begins for the human being.... he has reached the crossroads and has decided on the right direction, he strives towards truth and with it towards the eternal deity, Which now confronts him everywhere, even if previously still unrecognized. Then his soul will be saved from spiritual downfall, for every striving towards God will be successful and protect the human being from spiritual decay, and the end will not take him unawares....

(26.11.1944) For the end is imminent.... And therefore it is far more important to make provisions for his soul than to want to shape earthly life in his favour. Earthly life should only be used for spiritual striving, for working on one's soul, spiritual relationships should be cultivated, spiritual conversations should be held and the hardship of erring souls should be remembered, everyone should try to change himself into love and thus live as if every day were the last. The connection with the spiritual world should be maintained, i.e. thoughts should always be directed into the spiritual kingdom in a searching and questioning way, from where the answer will also be mentally conveyed to him.... All precautions should be taken for a speedy passing away, however, only with regard to the spiritual afterlife, but not for the world, for it will not exist much longer and any concern for the body's well-being or for earthly possessions is useless.... For it is coming to an end.... Whether the end is to be expected quickly or less quickly is irrelevant, for every day is important and therefore should not be taken lightly, no-one should put off until tomorrow what he can already do today, for he does not know whether he will still experience the end which is imminent. And therefore God admonishes and warns you long beforehand so that the end does not take you by surprise, so that you are not completely unprepared for it and have to fear it. For God wants to save you, He wants to protect you from another earthly life, He wants to help you so that you will not belong to those who will be condemned in the end, who will become completely unkind and therefore belong to satan. For this reason He sends His messengers to you beforehand and informs you of what awaits you; He does not leave you unwarned, He speaks to you through His messengers again and again and admonishes you to remember your soul, He shows you how transient earthly possessions are and thereby helps you to detach yourselves from matter. He brings His word close to you and thereby enlightens you about sin and its consequences, about the consequences of wrong will and a life without love.... But He also informs you of the blessing of a rightly used will, of your final aim and the joys of eternal life.... He wants to draw you over into the spiritual kingdom where there is light and bliss and therefore imparts the knowledge to you through His word. But it is up to you whether you evaluate His loving care for you and change yourselves into love.... Yet the end will come irrevocably, and blessed is he who prepares himself, who leaves the world and only strives to attain the spiritual kingdom.... For he will not need to fear the end because he will continue his life in eternity in light and bliss....
