Ruhen die Toten?....

Der Glaube, daß die Seelen ruhen nach dem Tode, ist nur insofern berechtigt, als daß die unreifen Seelen in einem völlig untätigen Zustand verharren, weil es ihnen an Kraft mangelt. Es ist dies aber kein Zustand wohltätiger Ruhe, sondern ein Zustand der Qual, des Gefesseltseins und der Ohnmacht und folglich kein erstrebenswerter Zustand. Tätig sein dürfen die Seelen im Jenseits erst in einem gewissen Reifezustand, wo ihnen ständig Kraft zugeht, um tätig sein zu können. Dann aber nützen sie diese Kraft ohne Einschränkung. Da ihre Tätigkeit aber nicht an irdische Materie gebunden ist, muß sie auch anders sein als die Tätigkeit auf Erden; sie kann auch nicht verglichen werden mit jener, denn es sind gänzlich andere Voraussetzungen im geistigen Reich, die eine Tätigkeit bedingen oder zulassen. Es ist ein ständiges Belehren und Vermitteln geistigen Wissens, es ist ein rein geistiger Vorgang, der den gebenden Seelen Glück und Seligkeit bereitet und den empfangenden Seelen ihre Qualen verringert und sie zu Kraft-Empfängern macht.... Es ist wohl ein Dienen in Liebe, jedoch nur so lange mit irdischer Tätigkeit zu vergleichen, wie die Seelen noch im Dunkelheitszustand sich auf der Erde lebend glauben, wo sie sich durch ihre eigenen Begierden ihre Umgebung selbst schaffen in ihrer Vorstellung und dieser Vorstellung entsprechend sie sich auch im Liebeswirken betätigen müssen. Je heller es aber in ihr wird, desto mehr entfernt sie sich von der Erde in ihren Gedanken, und nun ist ihre Tätigkeit nicht mehr an irdische Materie gebunden, auch nicht in ihrer Vorstellung. Und im rein geistigen Vermitteln des empfangenen Wissens besteht nun das Wirken jener Seelen im Jenseits, im geistigen Reich. Es hat eine jede gebewillige und Kraft-empfangende Seele ihr anvertraute Schützlinge auf Erden oder im Jenseits, denen sie sich mit liebevoller Fürsorge unermüdlich widmet. Diese Schützlinge muß sie gedanklich in die Wahrheit zu leiten versuchen, sie muß einwirken auf das Denken und also in ihnen Klarheit schaffen, ohne dabei den Willen jener Seelen zu zwingen, und es erfordert dies eine unsagbare Geduld und Liebe. Denn es sind zwei völlig isolierte Wesen, die einander gegenüberstehen, die völlig frei handeln und denken können und daher das rechte Denken nicht zwangsmäßig übertragen werden darf, soll das noch unentwickelte Geistige nicht gehindert werden, gleichfalls einen hohen Reifegrad zu erlangen. Es muß das geistige Wissen den noch unwissenden Seelen so dargeboten werden, daß es ohne Widerstand angenommen wird und das Verlangen wachruft nach vermehrter Gabe. Es muß also das empfangende Wesen sich völlig frei dafür entscheiden, dann erst wirkt das übertragene Wissen als Kraft, und es beglückt. Und es ist diese Tätigkeit des Übertragens eine Arbeit, die nur in Liebe ausgeführt werden kann, weil sie zumeist äußerst mühevoll ist. Doch der Zustand einer zur Untätigkeit verdammten Seele ist so erbarmungswürdig, daß die Lichtwesen unentwegt ihnen zu helfen suchen, daß sie bereit sind zur mühevollsten Arbeit, um diese Seelen aus ihrem Zustand zu erlösen. Andererseits aber erhöht es ihre Seligkeit, so ihr Liebeswirken erfolgreich ist, denn es zieht dieses Wirken unvorstellbare Kreise, weil jedes empfangende Wesen wieder sein Wissen weiterleitet im nun erwachten Drang, gleichfalls zu helfen den Seelen der Finsternis und also erlösend tätig zu sein....

Are the dead resting?....

The belief that the souls rest after death is only justified in so far as immature souls remain in a state of complete inactivity due to lack of strength. However, this is not a condition of comfortable rest but a state of torment, confinement and helplessness and therefore not a condition worth striving for. The souls in the beyond are only permitted to be active in a certain state of maturity when they receive constant strength to work. But then they use this strength without restriction. However, since their activity does not depend on earthly matter it also has to be different than the work on earth; it cannot be compared to the latter since the conditions in the spiritual realm which require or permit an action are entirely different. There is a steady flow of teaching and passing on of spiritual knowledge, it is a purely spiritual process which bestows much happiness and bliss on the giving souls and reduces the receiving souls’ torment by becoming recipients of strength.... It is indeed a labour of love but it can only be compared to earthly activity while the souls in their state of darkness still believe themselves to live on earth, where, due to their own desires, they create imaginary surroundings and in this imagination also have to perform kind deeds.

However, the more enlightened the soul becomes the further it distances itself from earth in its thoughts and now its actions no longer depend on earthly matter, not even in its imagination. The work of these souls in the beyond, in the spiritual realm, thus consists of purely spiritually conveying their received knowledge. Every giving and strength-receiving soul has entrusted protégées on earth or in the beyond for which it cares lovingly with tireless dedication. It has to try to mentally guide its protégées into the truth, it has to influence their thoughts and thus create clarity but without forcing the will of those souls, and this requires immense patience and love. Because two completely isolated beings, who can act and think entirely independently, are facing each other and thus correct thinking may not be forcefully transmitted if the still immature spirit is not to be prevented from gaining an equally high degree of maturity. Spiritual knowledge has to be given to uninformed souls in a way that it is accepted without resistance and awakens their longing for more gifts. The receiving being consequently has to accept it entirely voluntarily, only then will the transmitted knowledge become strength and enlighten. And this act of transmission is an effort which can only be performed with love because it is usually rather laborious.

But the state of a soul condemned to inactivity is so pitiful that the beings of light constantly try to help them, that they willingly accept the most arduous work to release these souls from their situation. However, on the other hand it adds to their happiness when their labour of love is successful because this work draws unimaginable circles, since every receiving being in turn will pass on its knowledge in the awakened urge to likewise help the souls of darkness and thus do redeeming work....
