Erkennen der Gott-verbundenen Menschen....

Jede geistige Aussprache zwischen euch gibt euch Aufklärung über das Verhältnis des Menschen zu Gott, so euch darum zu tun ist, ein gerechtes Urteil zu fällen. Ihr werdet euer Augenmerk zuerst darauf richten müssen, welche Beweggründe den Menschen bestimmen, eine Aussprache zu suchen. Der mit Gott eng verbundene Mensch wird immer Verlangen haben danach, das Wort Gottes zu vernehmen, und es wird sich das Verlangen so äußern, daß er den Ort aufsuchet, wo solches ihm geboten wird. Und es wird das Wort in ihn eindringen und ihn beglücken, er wird es empfangen und die Kraft des Wortes verspüren, d.h. das Wort wohltätig empfinden. Dieser hat Gott in sich, er lebt in Gott und steht also im rechten Verhältnis zu Ihm. Es kann jedoch auch der Mensch reden wollen über Dinge, die mit dem göttlichen Wort nicht in Verbindung stehen, dann wird nicht das göttliche Wort als erstes begehrt, und dann ist das Verlangen nach Gott nur schwach vorhanden, und es ist auch die Einstellung des Menschen zu Gott nicht so, wie sie sein soll, um geistigen Erfolg durch gegenseitigen Gedankenaustausch zu haben. Der Hunger nach der Wahrheit, nach dem Wort Gottes, muß den Menschen dazu drängen, Verbindung zu suchen mit Menschen gleichen Geistes, dieser Hunger wird aber unweigerlich ein Sättigen fordern; es wird also der verlangende Mensch begehren zu hören, was sein Verlangen stillt, und dann ist es auch leicht, ihn als Gott-verbunden zu erkennen, der Gott überall sprechen und hören möchte, wo Er Sich äußert. Denn der Gott-verbundene Mensch spürt es, wenn Gott durch eines Menschen Mund zu ihm spricht.... der Gott-verbundene Mensch kann also nur annehmen, denn er weiß das Wirken der göttlichen Kraft sehr wohl zu unterscheiden von Trugwerk.... der Gott-verbundene Mensch erkennt die Stimme Gottes, und er schenkt ihr Gehör. Wo aber dieser Stimme wenig geachtet wird, dort fehlt dem Menschen noch die innige Verbindung mit Gott, und also wird auch eine Aussprache nicht die gnadenreichen Folgen zeitigen, die Gott-verbundene Menschen daraus ziehen können....

Recognizing people who are connected to God....

Every spiritual discussion between you will enlighten you about man's relationship with God, if you are concerned with making a just judgement. You will first have to focus your attention on the motives which determine a person to seek a dialogue. A person who is closely united with God will always desire to hear the word of God, and this desire will express itself such that he will seek out the place where it is offered to him. And the word will penetrate him and make him happy, he will receive it and feel the strength of the word, i.e. he will experience the word as beneficial. He has God in himself, he lives in God and is therefore in the right relationship with Him. However, a person can also want to talk about things which are not connected to the divine word, in which case the divine word is not desired first and then the desire for God is only weakly present, and the person's attitude towards God is also not as it should be in order to achieve spiritual success through a mutual exchange of thoughts. The hunger for truth, for the word of God, must urge the human being to seek contact with people of the same spirit, but this hunger will inevitably demand to be satisfied; thus the longing human being will desire to hear what satisfies his desire, and then it will also be easy to recognize him as God-connected, who wants to speak and hear God wherever He expresses Himself. For the God-connected person senses it when God speaks to him through a person's mouth.... thus the God-connected person can only accept, for he knows very well how to distinguish the working of divine strength from deception.... the God-connected person recognizes the voice of God and listens to it. But where little attention is paid to this voice, the person still lacks an intimate connection with God, and thus even a dialogue will not result in the gracious consequences that God-connected people can draw from it....
