Gottferne.... Erkalten der Liebe.... Widerstand gegen Liebelehre....

Je weiter sich der Mensch von Gott entfernt, desto mühsamer wird es sein, ihm die göttliche Liebelehre zu vermitteln, denn das Entfernen von Gott hat auch ein Erkalten der Liebe zur Folge, und also steht er auch der Lehre Christi, die nur Liebe predigt, ablehnend gegenüber. Es erfordert große Liebe und Geduld von seiten der Menschen, ihm den Zweck und das Ziel des Erdenlebens klarzumachen, denn zumeist wird sein Wille ihn bestimmen, nichts anzunehmen, was ihm darüber geboten wird. Der Gott-ferne Zustand ist immer ein Zustand der Willigkeit dem Gegner Gottes gegenüber, folglich wird der Mensch niemals das annehmen wollen, was für Gott spricht. Wer es sich nun angelegen sein läßt, solchen Menschen das Licht zu bringen, der muß sich gefaßt machen auf Einwände und Widerlegungen aller Art, er darf nicht gleich mutlos werden, sondern muß sich größter Geduld und Ausdauer befleißigen und versuchen, eine recht innige Verbindung mit guten geistigen Kräften herzustellen, auf daß sie gedanklich von jenen geleitet werden und jedem Ansturm von seiten des Gegners standhalten können. Es ist eine überaus dankbare Aufgabe, einen Gott abtrünnigen Menschen zu gewinnen für Gott, doch es bemühen sich um diesen auch jenseitige Wesen, denen die Betreuung der Erdenkinder unterliegt, und diese unterstützen den Menschen in seinem Vorhaben und geben ihm die rechten Gedanken und Worte ein, so daß er nun nicht mehr allein streitet, sondern geistige Kraft ihm nun zur Seite steht. Und so muß ein Mensch, der die Liebe an sich verneint, durch Liebe zum rechten Erkennen geführt werden; er muß das wohltätig empfinden, was er abweisen möchte, und dadurch nicht mehr in seiner strikten Ablehnung verharren können.... (2.9.1941) Er muß Gefallen finden an dem, was ihm geboten wird, weil es ihm in Liebe geboten wird, und es vorerst aufnehmen mit seinem Ohr, auf daß es dann auch in seinem Herzen Eingang findet und er nun darüber nachdenkt. Dann ist schon der Versuch an ihm nicht erfolglos geblieben. Es ist dies der Beginn, die Gott-Ferne zu verringern, und die geringste Willigkeit wird gelohnt werden durch die Unterstützung geistiger Freunde. Denn diese sehnen nur die Stunde herbei, wo die Gedankentätigkeit des Menschen auf überirdische Dinge gelenkt wird, um dann entsprechend einwirken zu können mit ihrem Einfluß. Der Mensch jedoch, der unwillig ist und alles abweist, findet keine Verbindung mit ihnen, und ihr Wirken bleibt erfolglos, und das Leben des Menschen geht dahin, ohne ihm Nutzen gebracht zu haben für seine Seele. Der Geist der Lieblosigkeit hat ihm jeglichen Glauben zerstört, und nur durch erkennbares Wirken in Liebe für ihn kann das Herz eines solchen Menschen empfänglich gemacht und er gleichfalls zur Liebetätigkeit angeregt werden. Zwar wird der Gegner Gottes gleichfalls ringen, um ihn nicht zu verlieren, und darum ist der Kampf nicht leicht, der um Gott-ferne Seelen von seiten der Streiter Christi geführt wird. Doch wo der Wille ist, dort ist auch die Kraft.... denn diese steht dem Menschen zu Gebote, der sie nützen will für Gott. Und es bedienet sich der Streiter des göttlichen Wortes, das mit Kraft gesegnet ist. Das Wort Gottes, in Liebe geboten, muß wirksam sein, wo nicht satanischer Einfluß offensichtlich den Menschen gefangenhält....

Distance from God.... cooling of love.... resistance to the doctrine of love....

The further a person distances himself from God, the more difficult it will be to convey the divine teaching of love to him, for the distance from God also results in a cooling of love, and thus he will also reject Christ's teaching, which only preaches love. It requires great love and patience on the part of people to make the purpose and goal of earthly life clear to him, for in most cases his will will determine him not to accept anything that is offered to him. The state far from God is always a state of willfulness towards God's adversary, consequently the human being will never want to accept what speaks in favour of God. Whoever now takes it upon himself to bring light to such people must be prepared for objections and refutations of all kinds, he must not immediately become despondent but must exercise utmost patience and perseverance and try to establish a very close connection with good spiritual forces so that they are mentally guided by them and can withstand every onslaught from the adversary's side. It is an extremely rewarding task to win an apostate for God, yet beings in the beyond, who are in charge of the earthly children, will also endeavour to help him, and they will support the person in his endeavour and give him the right thoughts and words so that he will no longer fight alone but will be supported by spiritual strength. And thus a person who denies love in himself must be led to the right realization through love; he must charitably feel that which he would like to reject and thus no longer be able to remain in his strict rejection....

(2.9.1941) He must take pleasure in what is offered to him because it is offered to him in love, and first receive it with his ear, so that it then also finds entrance into his heart and he now thinks about it. Then already the attempt on him has not remained unsuccessful. This is the beginning of reducing the distance to God, and the slightest willingness will be rewarded by the support of spiritual friends. For these only long for the hour when the human being's mental activity is directed towards supernatural things in order to be able to exert their influence accordingly. But the human being, who is unwilling and rejects everything, finds no connection with them and their work remains unsuccessful, and the human being's life passes by without having brought him any benefit for his soul. The spirit of unkindness has destroyed all faith in him, and only through recognizable activity of love for him can the heart of such a person be made receptive and he likewise be stimulated to activity of love. It is true that God's adversary will also struggle in order not to lose him, and that is why the battle waged by Christ's fighters for souls far from God is not easy. Yet where the will is, there is also the power.... for this is at the disposal of the person who wants to use it for God. And the fighter makes use of the divine word, which is blessed with power. The word of God, commanded in love, must be effective where satanic influence does not obviously hold the human being captive....
