Willenlosigkeit - Mangelnde Erkenntniskraft....

Das Unvermögen geistigen Erkennens beruht auf der Willenlosigkeit des Menschen, Stellung zu nehmen zu geistigen Fragen. Irdische Probleme können auch nur gelöst werden, wenn der Mensch sich immer und immer wieder damit befaßt und also einzudringen bemüht ist. Das Lösen geistiger Probleme aber erfordert tiefstes Hineinversenken und den Willen, Aufschluß darüber zu erhalten. Jede Antwort bedingt zuvor ein Fragen, die Frage bezeugt wiederum das Verlangen nach Erkenntnis, und das Verlangen nach Erkenntnis verbürgt auch dann die Erkenntniskraft, ohne die der Mensch unfähig ist, die Wahrheit als solche in sich aufzunehmen. Wo aber eine gewisse Willenlosigkeit eine Gleichgültigkeit zur Folge hat, dort würde eine Aufklärung gar nicht beachtet werden, und also strömet die Kraft dem Menschen wohl zu, wenn sie begehrt wird, doch dem nicht verlangenden Menschen kann sie nicht vermittelt werden. Die geistigen Strömungen wollen beachtet werden, sie fließen nicht wahllos den Menschen zu, sondern nur, wer sich bereitwillig öffnet, der wird sie zu spüren bekommen, und nur dieser wird auch den Segen der geistigen Aufklärung erkennen. Völlig unbeeindruckt aber bleiben die Menschen, die nicht den Drang in sich spüren, wissend zu werden. Sie hören, und doch dringen die Worte nicht ins Herz. Sie sind unfähig, den Zusammenhang der Dinge zu fassen, ihr Verstand nimmt nicht auf, was den Ohren vermittelt wird, weil ihr Sinnen und Trachten noch der Welt angehört und geistige Fragen ihnen unwichtig erscheinen. Es werden sonach weltlich gesinnte Menschen sich abwenden von denen, die geistig sich betätigen, sie werden eine Abneigung hegen gegen alles Problematische, denn ihnen erscheint es sinn- und zwecklos, sich in Gedanken zu vertiefen, die niemals ihrer Meinung nach gelöst werden können so, daß keine Zweifel bestehenbleiben. Es bleiben immer nur Mutmaßungen für sie, denen sie wenig Glauben schenken, und da ihnen die Erkenntniskraft mangelt, diese ihnen aber nicht gegeben werden kann, bevor sie nicht selbst danach Verlangen tragen, ist es auch nicht möglich, solche Menschen zu überzeugen. Und das ist von größtem Nachteil für alle diese Menschen, daß ihnen geistige Wahrheiten nicht nahegebracht werden können, daß sie stets und ständig im Dunkeln tappen und ihr Geisteszustand nicht erhellt werden kann, weil es ihnen am Willen mangelt, im Licht zu wandeln. Sie streben einem Irrlicht nach, dem Glanz und der Pracht der irdischen Welt, und sie sind geblendet von diesem Irrlicht. Das sanfte und doch hellstrahlende Licht der Erkenntnis jedoch übersehen sie, zwangsweise aber kann es ihnen nicht nahegebracht werden, also werden in geistigem Dunkel die Menschen verharren müssen, bis sie selbst Verlangen tragen nach dem Licht der Erleuchtung und es ihnen nun geboten werden kann....

Lack of will - lack of cognitive power....

The inability of spiritual realization is based on man's lack of will to take a stand on spiritual questions. Earthly problems can also only be solved when man deals with them again and again and thus endeavours to penetrate them. Solving spiritual problems, however, requires deepest immersion and the will to receive information about them. Every answer first requires a question, the question in turn testifies to the desire for knowledge, and the desire for knowledge then also guarantees the power of cognition, without which the human being is incapable of absorbing the truth as such. However, where a certain lack of will results in indifference, enlightenment would not be heeded at all, and thus the strength certainly flows to the person when it is desired, but it cannot be imparted to the person who does not desire it. The spiritual currents want to be heeded, they do not flow to people indiscriminately but only those who willingly open themselves will feel them and only they will recognize the blessing of spiritual enlightenment. However, people who do not feel the urge to become knowledgeable remain completely unimpressed. They hear, and yet the words do not penetrate the heart. They are incapable of grasping the context of things, their minds do not take in what is conveyed to their ears because their senses and desires still belong to the world and spiritual questions seem unimportant to them. Consequently, worldly-minded people will turn away from those who are spiritually active, they will harbour an aversion to everything problematic, for it seems pointless and futile to them to delve into thoughts which, in their opinion, can never be solved in such a way that no doubts remain. All that remains for them is conjecture, which they give little credence to, and since they lack the power of realization but this cannot be given to them until they themselves desire it, it is not possible to convince such people either. And that is of greatest disadvantage for all these people, that spiritual truths cannot be made accessible to them, that they are always and constantly groping in the dark and their spiritual state cannot be illuminated because they lack the will to walk in the light. They strive after a will-o'-the-wisp, the splendour and magnificence of the earthly world, and they are blinded by this will-o'-the-wisp. However, they overlook the gentle yet brightly shining light of realization, but it cannot be forcibly made accessible to them, thus people will have to remain in spiritual darkness until they themselves desire the light of enlightenment and it can now be offered to them....
