Grob-Stoffliches.... Form.... Substanz....

Die grobe Verstofflichung ursprünglich geistiger Substanz wird sich so lange nicht umgehen lassen, wie eine Außenform nötig ist, um das Geistige in dieser Form zum Dienen zu zwingen. Das Geistige ist im ungebundenen Zustand auch ein freies Wesen, das über sich selbst bestimmen kann.... Sobald jedoch dieses Geistige mit einer Hülle umgeben ist, wird es gehindert in seiner Selbstbestimmung. Es wird gefesselt eben durch eine stoffliche Hülle, die es nun in einer bestimmten Zeit überwinden muß, um wieder davon befreit zu werden. Alles Stoffliche um die geistige Substanz ist verdichtetes Geistiges, also in sich gleichfalls geistige Substanz, d.h. hervorgegangen aus der alles erschaffenden Macht, jedoch durch göttlichen Willen zur Form geworden, die unreifes Geistiges in sich bergen soll. Denn alles, was aus Gott hervorgegangen ist, ist geistige Substanz, nur ist der Reifegrad dieser Substanz verschieden, und also ist ein Unterschied zu machen zwischen dem in der Form befindlichen Geistigen und dem Geistigen, das zur Form geworden ist. Das Geistige in der Form ist durch den göttlichen Willen schon so weit entwickelt, daß es den Aufenthalt in den verschiedenen Formen oft wechseln darf, während das Geistige, das zur Form geworden ist, noch im Anfang seiner Höherentwicklung steht. Das noch unentwickelte Geistige ermöglicht nun dem schon reiferen Geistigen.... die ihm {bestimmte} gestellte Aufgabe zu erfüllen.... Es dient dadurch diesem Geistigen, indem es auch ihm verhilft zum Dienen. Und so schreitet alles in der Schöpfung in der Entwicklung vorwärts. Das grobe Stoffliche erscheint dem Menschen vergänglich ist aber in seiner Substanz ebenso wenig vergänglich, als das Geistige, das von der stofflichen Hülle umschlossen ist. Denn es zerfällt wohl scheinbar in nichts, löst sich aber in Wirklichkeit nur in seine Substanz auf, sofern es seine eigentliche Aufgabe erfüllt hat. Man unterscheidet also ein Fliehen des Geistigen aus der Form und ein Verflüchten der Form selbst. Das aus der Form frei gewordene Geistige sucht sich je nach dem Reifezustand eine neue Hülle.... während die Form selbst sich auflöst in ihre Ursubstanz und so lange wieder flüchtiges Element ist, bis es wieder durch Gottes Willen sich verdichtet zu einer neuen Form. Das grobe Stoffliche ist also demnach nichts anderes als etwas Geistiges, das dem Willen Gottes entsprechend sichtbar wird für den Erdenmenschen.... das also die Form annimmt, die Gott ihm bestimmt und die so lange Form bleibt, wie der göttliche Wille eine solche benötigt für das in der Höherentwicklung befindliche Geistige. Die Form ist sichtbar, solange das Geistige seine Aufgabe noch nicht recht gelöst hat, wird jedoch unsichtbar, so die Aufgabe erfüllt ist....

Coarse material.... Form.... Substance....

The coarse materialisation of originally spiritual substance cannot be avoided as long as an external form is necessary in order to force the spiritual to serve in this form. In its unbound state, the spiritual is also a free being that can determine its own destiny.... However, as soon as this spiritual being is surrounded by a shell, it is hindered in its self-determination. It is bound by a material cover which it must now overcome in a certain time in order to be freed from it again. Everything material around the spiritual substance is condensed spiritual, therefore in itself likewise spiritual substance, that is, it emerged from the all-creating Power, but through divine will became matter, which is supposed to harbour immature spiritual in itself. For everything that has emerged from God is spiritual substance, only the degree of maturity of this substance is different, and therefore a difference has to be made between the spiritual that is inside the form and the spiritual that has become form.

The spiritual inside the form is already so far developed through divine will that it is often allowed to change its stay in the different forms, while the spiritual, which has become form, is still in the beginning of its higher development. The still undeveloped spiritual substance now enables the already more mature spiritual substance.... to fulfil the task assigned to it.... It thereby serves this spiritual substance by also helping it to serve. And thus everything in creation progresses in its development. The coarse material appears transient to man, but in its substance it is just as little transient as the spiritual, which is enclosed in the material shell. For it may seem to disintegrate into nothing, but in reality it only dissolves into its substance once it has fulfilled its actual task. A distinction is therefore made between the spiritual fleeing from the form and the form itself evaporating. The spiritual substance that has been released from the form seeks a new shell depending on its state of maturity.... while the form itself dissolves into its original substance and is again a volatile element until it condenses once more into a new form through God's will. The coarse material is therefore nothing other than something spiritual which becomes visible to the earthly human being in accordance with God's will.... which therefore takes on the form God determines for it, and which remains form as long as divine will requires such a form for the spiritual substance which is in the process of higher development. The form is visible as long as the spiritual has not yet properly solved its task, but becomes invisible as soon as the task has been fulfilled.... Amen
