Verkeer met het hiernamaals Bereidheid om te geven (Spiritisme)

Het is onvergelijkelijk waardevol, zich in een toestand te verplaatsen die de verbinding met het geestelijke rijk oplevert, want alleen door zo'n verbinding is het mogelijk in de waarheid te worden binnen geleid. En daarom is het ook door GOD gewild dat dit verkeer in stand wordt gehouden zolang de mens naar de waarheid streeft. Alleen het verlangen naar waarheid geeft het recht op zo'n verbinding, want dit is het doel van een verbinding van deze kant met de overkant, dat daardoor de zuivere waarheid naar de aarde wordt geleid.

Evenwel, ieder mens meent naar de waarheid te verlangen, zodra hij zich verbindt met het hiernamaals. Maar vaak is het slechts weetgierigheid, dus het verlangen om over het rijk hierna uitsluitsel te verkrijgen, zonder zich daarbij bewust te worden van een taak dat het ontvangen weten verder geleid moet worden naar de onwetende medemensen. Want wie ontvangt, moet ook geven. Is de liefde voor het eigen ik van een mens sterk geaccentueerd, dan neemt die mens het weten uit het geestelijke rijk alleen voor zichzelf in ontvangst.

Dit strookt niet met de Wil van GOD, want aan al het denken en handelen moet het gebod van de naastenliefde ten grondslag liggen. Een liefdevol hart ontvangt en deelt het ontvangene uit. Is de mens echter niet bereid om te geven, dan verliest hij ook het recht gaven te ontvangen. Houdt hij nochtans de omgang met het hiernamaals in stand, dan is er geen garantie voor de zuivere waarheid te geven, want nu dringen zich ook die wezens op die door eigenliefde nog ver van de waarheid verwijderd zijn.

Bijgevolg hoeven niet alle boodschappen in overeenstemming met de waarheid te zijn, als ze door een mens ontvangen zijn die zich niet in de dienst van GOD heeft gesteld, d.w.z. zijn wil aan HEM kenbaar heeft gemaakt, voor HEM en de verbreiding van de zuivere waarheid werkzaam te zijn. Dit bewuste GODwillen - dienen, behoedt de mens voor onware geestelijke gaven, want GOD leidt de waarheid alleen naar de aarde met het doel dat deze aan de mensheid wordt overgebracht. Het ontvangen van geestelijke gaven moet de uitwerking van een liefdevol hart zijn, eerst de liefde voor de medemens moet de mens in staat stellen en waardig maken, geestelijke gaven in ontvangst te nemen.

Een verbinding met het hiernamaals kan echter ook door mensen tot stand worden gebracht wier graad van liefde erg laag is; ze zullen ook voortdurend mededelingen uit het geestelijke rijk in ontvangst nemen, maar deze zullen steeds in overeenstemming zijn met het wezen of de graad van zielerijpheid van de mens die de verbinding aanknoopt. Op ieder mens wordt beslag gelegd die zich bereid verklaart boodschappen uit het geestelijke rijk te ontvangen. Alle geestelijke wezens willen zich uiten en ze doen dit ook beantwoordend aan de graad van hun rijpheid, d.w.z. hun weten. De scheidsmuur tussen waarheid en onwaarheid richt de mens echter zelf op door de graad van zijn verlangen naar de waarheid. Wie streeft naar de zuivere waarheid, aan diens verlangen wordt ook gevolg gegeven door de dragers van de waarheid, door wezens die vol licht zijn en in verbinding staan met GOD. Dezen kunnen alleen maar zuivere waarheid uitdelen, en ze beschermen ook de ontvangende mens ervoor, dwaling in ontvangst te nemen, want hun kracht is zo sterk dat ze alle onvolmaakte wezens verdringen uit de nabijheid van de mens die alleen maar de waarheid begeert en ze in ontvangst wil nemen om haar te verbreiden onder de in duisternis voortgaande mensheid.

Contact with the beyond .... Willingness to give .... (Spiritualism) ....

It is incomparably valuable to enter a state which results in contact with the spiritual kingdom, because only through such a connection is it possible to be guided into truth. And therefore it is, in fact, God’s will that this contact shall be upheld as long as the human being strives for the truth. Only the desire for truth justifies such a connection, for the purpose of a connection from this side to the beyond is to convey the pure truth to earth. Nevertheless, every person believes that he wants the truth as soon as he makes contact with the beyond. But it is often only curiosity, hence, the desire to receive information about the kingdom of the beyond, without being aware of the task that the received knowledge should be passed on to uninformed fellow human beings. For he who receives shall give as well. If a person’s selfish love is strongly accentuated, he will only accept the knowledge from the spiritual realm for himself. This does not correspond to God’s will, for all actions and thoughts should be based on the commandment of neighbourly love. A loving heart receives and distributes again what it receives .... However, if a person is unwilling to give, he will also lose the right to receive gifts. If he nevertheless maintains contact with the beyond, there is no guarantee that he will receive pure truth, for then beings will also push close, which, on account of their selfish love, are still far removed from the truth. Hence, not all proclamations need to correspond to truth if they were received by a person who has not offered his service to God, that is, who has not declared to Him his will to work for Him and the distribution of the pure truth. This conscious intention to be of service to God protects the human being from untruthful spiritual gifts, for God only conveys the truth to earth for the purpose of distribution amongst humanity. The reception of spiritual gifts must be the result of a loving heart, love for his fellow human being must first make the person capable and worthy of receiving spiritual gifts. But people with a very low degree of love can also establish contact with the beyond; they will also constantly receive messages from the spiritual kingdom, but these will always correspond to the being or the soul’s degree of maturity of the person who establishes the connection. Every person having declared himself willing to receive messages from the spiritual kingdom will be taken possession of. All spiritual beings want to express themselves, and they do so according to their degree of maturity, that is, according to their knowledge. But the partition between truth and untruth is erected by the human being himself through the degree of his desire for truth. The desire of anyone striving for the pure truth will be met by bearers of truth, by beings of light which are united with God. They can only impart pure truth and also protect the recipient from accepting error, for they have so much strength that they can push all imperfect beings away from the vicinity of a person who only desires the truth and wants to receive it in order to distribute it to the human race living in darkness.
