Inzicht in het hiernamaals - Vermomming van de lichtwezens - Zelfverwijt

Jullie moeten te allen tijden diegenen gedenken die het aardse dal al lang verlaten hebben en die in een onrijpe toestand het hiernamaals moesten binnengaan. Er is hun waarlijk een zwaar lot beschoren. Ze kunnen de weg niet vinden in de omgeving die hun gegeven is. Ze hebben geen vrede met zichzelf en ze zijn dermate ongelukkig dat de Liefde hun tegemoet moet komen om hen te verlossen, dat wil zeggen om hen te helpen om ook daar vanuit hun duisternis de goede weg te vinden.

Waar de ziel nu om licht strijdt, wordt ze juist geleid en komt ze beslist vooruit. Maar het is juist de tijd tot aan het inzicht, die voor deze ziel zo onzegbaar zwaar is. Hier op aarde gaf God haar genade na genade opdat ze de weg zou vinden naar het geloof in de Heer Jezus Christus. Daar moeten ze dat nog veel meer uit eigen kracht proberen te bereiken, dat wil zeggen met de eigen wil dit inzicht proberen na te streven. Dan moet hun eerst de kracht worden toegevoerd door de liefhebbende werkzaamheid van de hogere geestelijke wezens of door het liefdevol gedenken in gebed op aarde.

Er is zo een groot onderscheid tussen een volmaakt geestelijk wezen en de ziel die aan hem toevertrouwd is, dat het vanuit zodanige lichtintensiteit onmogelijk zou zijn de ziel, rond wie het nog duistere nacht is, weldadig te beïnvloeden. Ze zou zich weliswaar dwangmatig tot het licht bekennen, maar ze zou door deze plotselinge lichtintensiteit ook moeten vergaan en een volledige loutering van de ziel zou zich niet kunnen voltrekken. Daarom is het een lichtwezen opgedragen een vermomming aan te nemen die hem de omgang met de arme ziel gemakkelijker mogelijk maakt. En in dit gewaad, dat slechts een beetje lichter is dan dat van de dwalende ziel, brengt de lichtgeest de verbinding met haar tot stand en probeert haar nu tot inzicht in haar situatie te brengen.

Er worden haar hierbij vele mogelijkheden geboden en afgeschilderd die de verbetering van haar situatie ondersteunen. De ziel die in haar duisternis al zo hopeloos was geworden, grijpt alles aan met het innigste verlangen om zich maar uit de huidige situatie te bevrijden. En zo begint het streven naar het licht. De toestand van zulke naakte zielen die aan zichzelf zijn overgelaten en die in de kwelling van zelfverwijten hun verzuimde leven gedenken, is vaak deerniswekkend. En er wordt een zeer groot werk van Liefde voor deze wezens uitgevoerd, wanneer hun een beetje hulp wordt gebracht. Dit kunnen de mensen zo ontzettend gemakkelijk en rijkelijk doen als ze in gebed deze lichtloze en hard strijdende zielen gedenken, die op aarde weliswaar uit eigen schuld al de genade die hun geboden werd, afwezen en die nu bijzonder dankbaar elk beetje hulp aannemen, die hun situatie voor hen draaglijker maakt.

Als jullie een buitengewone hoeveelheid dankbaarheid willen verwerven, kom dan deze zielen te hulp. Ze smachten in de duisternis en ze kunnen zich zonder deze hulp niet verlossen. En ze worden ook nooit tot de lichtkring toegelaten vooraleer ze zelf de vaste wil hebben zich met alle krachten aan de duisternis te ontrukken en naar lichte regionen te streven. En om deze wil uit zichzelf te kunnen opbrengen, moeten jullie deze arme zielen helpen en hun in voortdurende zorg in jullie gebed gedenken, opdat het licht ook daar binnendringt en ontelbare wezens met behulp van de liefde verlost worden.

Recognition in the Hereafter.... Disguise of the light-beings.... Self-reproach....

At all times you are to remember those who have already long since left the earthly valley and had to enter the hereafter in an immature state. They has indeed landed a hard lot; they cannot find their way in the surroundings granted to them..... they quarrel with themselves and are so very unhappy, that Love must meet them to redeem them.... i.e. to help them to find the right way out of their darkness also there.... Where now there the soul fights for light, it is guided rightly and inevitably advances.

But the time until recognition is so unspeakably hard for this soul. Here on earth, God gave them grace upon grace, so that they should find themselves in faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.... There they must still, much more from own strength, strive to reach.... i.e. with own will strive for this recognition, because the strength must as yet be supplied to them by the loving activity of the higher spirit-beings or by commemoration in love in prayer on earth. There is such a great difference between a perfect spirit-being and the soul entrusted to it, that out of such fullness of light it would be impossible to charitably influence the soul around which is still the darkest night.

It would inevitably declare the light, but it has to perish under such sudden fullness of light, and a complete purification of the soul would not take place. So the light-being is commanded to accept a disguise, which makes the interaction easier for the poor soul.... And in this garment, which is only slightly lighter than that of the erring soul, the light-spirit achieves to connect with it and now seeks to bring it into recognition of it's situation.... Many possibilities are offered and described to it, which are useful for the improvement of it's situation. The soul, which has already become so hopeless in it's darkness, embraces everything with the most intimate desire to just free itself from the present situation, and so the aspiration after the light begins....

The condition of such naked souls are often pitiful; they are left to themselves, and remember their failed lives in agony and self-reproach. And an exceedingly great work of love is done on these beings when a little help is brought to them, which people can do so exceedingly easily and abundantly if they remember in prayer these lightless, hard-pressed souls, which on earth, sure out of their own fault rejected all favours offered to them and now exceedingly gratefully accept every smallest help, which makes their situation more bearable for them.

If you want to acquire an extraordinary measure of gratitude, then come to the aid of these souls. They languish in darkness and cannot redeem themselves without it.... and they will also never be admitted to circles of light until they themselves have the firm will to wrestle themselves from darkness with all their strength and striving for bright regions.... And in order to be able to summon up this will from within yourselves, you are to be helpful to these poor beings and, in perpetual concern, remember them in prayer, so that the light may also penetrate there and innumerable beings may be redeemed through love....
