Kennisgeving ter verklaring van 0410

De gang over de aarde is niets anders dan een overgang naar de eeuwige regionen en het is steeds de mens zelf die zijn toestand in die regionen bepaalt. Als hij zijn leven geleid heeft in een voortdurend streven naar geestelijk goed, dan hoeft hij nooit meer te vrezen dat het leven aan gene zijde voor hem een belastende uitwerking heeft. Hij zal het uur van de dood nooit hoeven te vrezen en hij zal het aardse dal slechts verlaten om het te verruilen voor hemelse velden die hem onvergelijkelijk lieflijk zullen toeschijnen. Maar de innerlijke terugkeer naar God moet plaatsgevonden hebben.

De vereniging met het hoogste Wezen moet eraan voorafgegaan zijn, als de mens deze geestestoestand wil bereiken die hem een volledige oplossing van zijn omhulsel garandeert. In het andere geval echter zal het menselijke omhulsel zich niet zo gemakkelijk van de ziel losmaken. Hoewel de ziel haar aardse lichaam weliswaar verlaten heeft, is ze toch niet vrij. De omhulling van de geest kleeft nog aan haar. Ze is niet volledig vrij, maar wordt nog door dezelfde ketenen als op aarde verhinderd zich vrij omhoog te kunnen begeven in de hogere sferen. En deze toestand zal dan gelijk zijn aan de aardse toestand, aangezien de ziel in het hiernamaals nog in dezelfde onwetendheid en verstoktheid verkeert. Zijzelf is zich ook vaak niet bewust dat ze de aarde reeds verlaten heeft.

Om die reden treft jullie geest steeds die sfeer aan waaraan hij gelijkwaardig is. En als de ziel de toestand van rijpheid reeds op aarde bereikt heeft, dan gaat ze bij de lichamelijke dood ook onmiddellijk in de lichtsferen binnen. Ze hoeft in het hiernamaals dan niet eerst de eindeloos lange weg van strijd te gaan die gelijk is aan de aardse toestand, maar die niet zo gemakkelijk overwonnen kan worden als op aarde.

Geef daarom niet toe aan de verzoeking te geloven dat jullie daarboven nog de mogelijkheid gegeven is tot rijping van de ziel. Dit is veel moeilijker en het besef van de onbenutte tijd op aarde is onzegbaar berouwvol. Daarom is het altijd raadzamer om als onvolmaakte wezens met angst aan het hiernamaals te denken en dan reeds op aarde onafgebroken naar de hoogst mogelijke volmaaktheid te streven, dan zich in traagheid over te geven aan de hoop dat men daar zou kunnen inhalen wat hier verzuimd werd.

Het aardse leven met alle kommer en kwel is niets vergeleken met de strijd van zulke onvolmaakte zielen in het hiernamaals. Want daar zijn er jullie niet zulke mogelijkheden gegeven als op aarde. Jullie worsteling zal veel zwaarder zijn totdat al het menselijk aardse zich volledig van jullie geest afgescheiden heeft en deze geest dan de graad bereikt heeft waarmee hij opgenomen kan worden in een nieuw lichtrijk. Dus is het begrijpelijk dat een ziel zolang de toestand van de mens wordt opgelegd totdat ze de graad van rijpheid bereikt heeft, die voor haar bestemd is.

Thus walking on earth is nothing more than a transition into the eternal regions, and again and again it is man himself who determines his own condition in those regions. If he has spent his life on earth in constant striving for spiritual goods, he will never have to fear that life in the other world will be a burden for him.... he will never have to fear the hour of death and will only leave the valley of the earth to swap it for heavenly realms, which will appear incomparably lovely to him.

But the inner return to God must have taken place.... the union with the highest Being must have preceded if man is to reach this state of mind, which guarantees him a complete dissolving of his covering. In the other case, however, the human shell will not separate so easily from the soul.... Although the soul has left it's earthly body, it is still not free....

The spirit's covering still clings to it.... it is not completely free, but still prevented by the same fetters as on earth to be able to swing freely up into higher regions, and this state will then be the same as the state on earth, because the soul in the beyond still walks in the same ignorance and obduracy.... it is often unconscious that it has already left the earthly valley.... Therefore your spirit always finds the sphere equal to itself, and when the soul has already reached the state of maturity on earth, then it also, at the time of bodily death, immediately enters light-filled spheres....

It then does not first have to go the endlessly long way of struggle in the hereafter, which is similar that of the earth, but cannot be overcome as easily as on earth. Do not fall therefore into the temptation to believe that over there the possibility still remains for you to mature the soul.... This is far more difficult, and unspeakably remorseful is the recognition of the unused time on earth. So it is always more advisable to remember the hereafter with horror as an unfinished being and then to restlessly strive for the greatest possible perfection already on earth, than to indulge in inertia in the hope that one can make up for what has been missed here....

Life on earth with all it's misery and suffering is nothing compared to the struggle of such imperfect souls in the hereafter; for you are not given such possibilities as on earth.... Your struggle will be far more difficult until all human earthly things have completely separated from your spirit and then your spirit has reached the degree that it can be absorbed into a new kingdom of light. Thus it is to be understood that the state of the human is passed on to the soul until it has reached the degree of maturity determined for it....
