생각은 영적 영역에서 발산 된다.

아무도 자신의 운명을 알지 못하고 어느 누구도 자신의 운명을 정할 수 없다. 그러나 모든 사람은 자신이 이 세상에서 영원히 머무르지 않고 다음날 부름받을 수 있다는 것을 알고 자신이 피할 수 없는 운명을 갑작스럽게 맞이할 수 있다는 것을 안다. 그러나 이런 확실한 지식을 단지 가장 적은 수의 사람들이 사후의 삶인 영의 나라의 영원한 삶을 위해 준비하면서 활용한다. 그들에게 죽음 후의 삶에 대한 확신이 없기 때문에 그들은 삶을 활용하지 않는다.

그러나 그들에게 사후의 삶에 대한 증거를 주는 일은 불가능하다. 왜냐면 그러면 이런 일이 이 땅의 모든 삶의 길을 쓸모 없게 만들 것이기 때문이다. 이 땅의 삶의 목적은 의지가 완전한 자유롭게 결정하게 하는 일이다. 그러나 증거는 이미 의지에 강요할 것이다. 그러므로 사람들이 스스로 헤쳐 나가야 하고 자신이 존재하는 의미와 목적에 대한 정확한 지식 없이 이 땅의 삶을 살아야 한다. 그럴지라도 그들이 선명한 깨달음을 얻기를 추구하면, 그들은 선명한 깨달음을 얻을 수 있다. 왜냐면 사람들이 생각할 수 있기 때문이다. 그들은 이 땅의 삶의 기간을 위해 생각하는 능력을 선물을 받았다. 즉 생각을 정리할 수 있고 생각이 진리인지 시험할 수 있는 이성을 선물로 받았다. 그러나 그들은 올바르게 생각할 수 있고 잘못되게 생각할 수 있다.

이런 일은 사람들에게 양측에서 생각이 전달 된다는 증거이다. 그러나 그들이 어떤 생각을 택할지는 그들 자신에게 맡겨져 있다. 그러므로 생각 자체는 사람이 스스로 만든 것이 아니다. 즉 사람이 자신 안에서 생성되게 해서 밖으로 발산하는 것이 아니고 영의 나라에서 온 힘으로 생각이 사람 자신에게 흘러간다. 그러나 너희는 너희의 육체의 죽음으로 너희의 생각이 멈추지 않고 혼이 온전한 상태에서 하나님의 영적인 발산을 생각의 형체로 받는 점에서 자신을 의식하는 혼의 생각이 하나님과 상관성을 증명한다는 것을 알아야 한다.

반면에 하나님의 대적자가 온전하지 못한 상태에 있는 자신을 의식하는 존재가 아직 이 땅에 거하든 또는 저세상의 나라에 거하든 이런 존재에 대한 영향력을 얻는다. 그러므로 생각은 멈추지 않고 단지 혼란스럽게 되거나 또는 완전히 잘못될 수 있다. 혼의 성숙한 정도가 낮으면, 하나님의 대적자가 하나님 자신보다 더 큰 영향력을 가질 수 있다. 하나님은 절대로 자신의 뜻을 강제로 관철시키지 않고 존재 자신이 스스로 하나님께 항복할 때까지 기다린다. 그러므로 생각은 어떤 영적인 것이고 크거나 적게 진리에 합당하다. 그러나 생각은 항상 영의 나라에서 온다. 그러므로 생각은 힘이라고 부를 수 있다. 다시 이 힘은 이 힘의 출처에 따라 좋은 결과를 나타내거나 또는 나쁜 결과를 나타낸다.

계속되는 삶을 믿지 않는 사람은 생각이 인간 자신 안에서 나온다는 설명으로 만족한다. 그러면 죽음이 모든 생각할 수 있는 능력을 사라지게 할 것이고 혼이라는 개념을 또한 단순하게 설명할 수 없다. 혼은 세상적이고 물질적인 겉형체인 육체와 상반되는 생각하고 느끼고 원하는 인간의 내면의 삶이고 혼은 불멸하다. 그러므로 혼이 죽음 후에도 계속 살아야 한다면, 혼은 계속해서 생각하고 느끼고 원할 수 있게 될 것이다. 살아 있는 자신을 의식하는 어떤 존재는 그가 생각하고 느끼고 원할 수 있는 이런 특성들을 보여줄 수 있어야만 한다. 이런 능력이 없는 동안에는 존재는 아직 묶임을 받은 상태에 있고 그러면 그의 행동에 대해 그에게 전적으로 책임을 물을 수 없다.

그러나 존재는 이 땅의 삶 동안에 과제가 주어졌고 그러므로 존재는 생각하고 의지를 갖고 생각과 의지대로 행할 수 있어야만 하고 존재는 이제 하나님을 떠났을 때 어겼던 하나님의 질서에 자유의지로 순종해야 한다. 존재가 하나님을 떠나 타락한 일로 전적으로 어두움에 빠졌기 때문에 즉 전적으로 깨달음이 없게 되었기 때문에 존재는 이제 자유의지로 결정하도록 지식을 다시 얻게 돼야만 한다. 이런 지식이 이제 영의 나라에서 그에게 흘러 가고 사람이 이제 받아들일 수 있거나 다시 거부할 수 있다.

그러므로 인간의 생각은 빛의 나라에서 나올 수 있고 또한 어두움의 나라에서 나올 수 있는 흐름이다. 사람은 자신에게 흘러오는 생각을 헤아려 보도록 이성을 선물로 받았다. 그러나 빛의 영역에서 온 생각의 물결을 이해하기 위해 이성의 날카로움은 사랑을 행할 준비가 된 심장보다 적게 결정적인 역활을 한다. 그러므로 이해하는 일은 또한 깨달음의 정도에 상응하고 사랑의 삶을 사는 사람에게 올바른 결정을 내리는 일이 쉽게 될 것이다. 반면에 어두움의 나라에서 온 생각이 사랑이 없는 사람에게 흘러가고 그는 이런 생각을 더 쉽게 받아들이고 그로 인해 점점 더 하나님의 대적자에게 빠진다.

사람은 생각이 자기 자신의 영적인 산물로 믿고 자신이 이성의 힘과 외부로부터 주어지는 가르침을 통해 만들어 낸다고 믿는다. 그러나 그렇다면 죽음의 순간에 사람의 진정한 나이고 그러므로 생각과 느낌과 원하는 일을 잃을 수 없고 계속하여 생각의 파장의 영역에 거하지만 그러나 혼이 이제 활동하는 영역을 스스로 창조했거나 또는 아직 창조할 수 있는 그의 혼이 완전히 비어 있게 될 것이다.

혼의 생각은 어두운 영역에서 연약하고 전적으로 혼란스럽게 될 것이다. 그러나 혼은 생각할 수 있고 혼이 원하면, 이런 생각을 해명할 수 있다. 생각은 사라질 수 없는 영적인 힘이다. 그러므로 모든 생각은 어떤 결과이든 결과가 나타나게 한다. 생각이 어두움의 영역에서 흘러나와 영접을 받으면, 부정적인 결과가 나타나고 생각이 빛의 나라에서 나와 인간의 심장 안으로 들어가면, 긍정적인 결과가 나타난다. 그러므로 사람 자신이 빛의 나라와 연결을 이루기를 원하면서 자신의 받아들일 준비가 된 자세를 증명하기 만하면 된다.

그러므로 대적자에게 묶여 있는 사람에게 절대로 선한 생각이 나타나지 않게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 그 자신이 생각을 만들어내는 것이 아니고 같은 파장을 가진 생각이 그에게 흘러가기 때문이다. 생각이 그에게 구원하는 효과를 주고 생각이 그에게 올바른 결정을 내리도록 도움을 주는 깨달음을 전해주려면, 그는 이런 생각이 자신을 감싸도록 만들어야만 한다. 왜냐면 올바른 결정을 내리는 일이 모든 사람의 이 땅의 삶의 목표이고 사람은 이런 목표의 달성을 목적으로 이 땅으로 육신을 입도록 허락을 받기 때문이다.

Thoughts are emanations from the spiritual realm....

No-one knows his own destiny and no-one is able to determine it.... but everyone knows that he won’t stay on earth forever and that he can be called away even on the next day, that he can also be surprised by strokes of destiny which he is unable to avert. But only a few people make use of this certain knowledge by working towards the life which follows afterwards.... towards life in the spiritual kingdom which lasts forever. And the rest don’t make use of it because they are not convinced of life after death.... It is, however, also impossible to provide them with proof of this because it would render the whole of earthly life useless, as its purpose concerns a completely free decision of will.... but proof would already result in a coercion of will. For this reason people are left to a certain extent to their own devices, they walk through earthly life without precisely knowing its meaning and purpose, nevertheless they are able to reach a clear understanding if they strive for it. For people are able to think.... For the duration of their earthly life they received a gift, the capacity to think, thus also the intellect to process thoughts and to verify their truth.... for people can have right as well as incorrect thoughts. This is proof of the fact that they receive thoughts from two sides but that the choice of thoughts is left up to them .... Thus, thought itself is not a product generated by the person himself and emanated outward but it first flows to him as strength from the spiritual kingdom. However, you ought to know that thinking will not stop with your body’s death but that this demonstrates to the self-aware soul its bond with God.... insofar as that, in the state of perfection, it will receive His spiritual illumination in the form of thoughts.... In contrast, in the imperfect state God’s adversary gains influence over the self-aware being, regardless of whether it still lives on earth or it is in the realm of the beyond. Hence thinking does not stop, it can merely be confused or entirely wrong if the soul’s degree of maturity is low and therefore God’s adversary has a greater influence than God Himself, Who will never forcibly impose Himself but wait until the being submits itself to Him.... Thoughts are thus something spiritual, more or less corresponding to truth but always contributions from the spiritual realm, which can therefore also be classed as forces.... once again, with good or evil consequences, depending on their origin. Anyone who does not believe in the continuation of life is satisfied with the explanation that thought originates in the human being himself. But then death would extinguish all reasoning power, then it would not be easy to explain the concept of ‘soul’, which, in contrast to the body.... the earthly-material external shell.... is the human being’s inner life, his thoughts, feelings and intentions....

The soul is everlasting, thus it will continue to be able to think, feel and want, if it is to continue living after death.... Something that is alive, self-aware, has to be able to show these characteristics that it can think, feel and want.

As long as these abilities do not exist, the being is still in a state of constraint in which it cannot be held fully responsible for its actions. But the being is given a task during its lifetime on earth, consequently, it must also be able to think and want and to act accordingly.... Hence, the point is that it should voluntarily adapt itself to the divine order which it revoked when turned away from God. Since its apostasy from God resulted in its decent into darkness, i.e. into complete lack of realisation, it must now, in order to make a free decision of will, be introduced again to knowledge which flows to it from the spiritual kingdom and which can be accepted but also rejected again by the human being. People’s thoughts are therefore such influxes, but they can come both from the kingdom of light as well as from the realm of darkness. The human being himself is equipped with the gift of intellect in order to be able deal with the thoughts flowing to him. But sharpness of intellect is not so crucial as a heart willing to love in order to be receptive to thought waves from the kingdom of light.... Consequently, the degree of realisation will match accordingly and a person who lives a life of love will find it easy to make the right decision.... whereas a heartless person is sent thoughts from the realm of darkness and is more willing to accept these and thereby becomes increasingly more enslaved by God’s adversary. The human being certainly believes that the thoughts are his own spiritual product, that he, by virtue of his intellect and his externally received education, generates them himself.... in that case, however, his soul would be entirely empty at the moment of death, but it is, in fact, the human being’s actual Self and can therefore not stop thinking, feeling and wanting.... it therefore remains within the area of thought waves but it created or can still create the sphere which it now occupies. Although its thinking will be weak and confused in the dark spheres, nevertheless, it can think.... and also clarify this thinking if it wants to. Thought is spiritual strength which cannot disappear, for that reason every thought will also have some kind of result, negative.... if it flows from the kingdom of darkness and is accepted, or positive.... if it originates in the kingdom of light and finds acceptance in human hearts. Thus, the human being himself need only prove his willingness of acceptance by desiring contact with the kingdom of light. This is why no person will ever allow good thoughts to arise in himself if he is totally captivated by the adversary, because he does not produce the thoughts himself but they flow to him like waves, he must allow them to surround him if they are to have a beneficial effect on him.... if they are to impart the knowledge to him which helps him to make the right decision. For this is every individual person’s only goal in life, on account of which he was allowed to embody himself on Earth....
