생명을 얻기 위해 영이 깨어나는 일이 요구 된다.

영이 생명력이 있게 한다. 너희 사람들이 아직 너희 안의 영을 깨어나게 하지 못한 동안에는 모든 지식은 죽은 지식이고 너희를 생명으로 이끌 수 없다. 이성이 아무리 깊이 침투하려고 추구할지라도 목표에 도달하지 못하게 될 것이다. 즉 전적으로 선명하게 하나님의 구원계획에 들어가 그가 하나님의 사랑과 지혜로 행하는 하나님의 역사와 사역을 깨닫고 하나님을 향한 사랑으로 불타오르게 되지 못할 것이다.

영이 깨어나면 비로소 밝고 선명하게 보게 되고 인간이 이제 깨달은 가운데 자신의 존재 목적을 알고 이 땅이 존재하게 된 원인과 사명에 대해 알게 된다. 그러나 죽은 지식은 이성으로 얻은 모든 지식이고 혼이 아직 입장을 정할 수 없는 지식이다. 왜냐면 인간 안의 영이 아직 역사하도록 허용을 받지 못해 이런 지식을 아직 혼에게 설명할 수 없기 때문이다. 이런 일은 탐구할 수 없고 증명할 수 없지만 비록 인간의 이성으로는 헤아려볼 수 없을지라도 가장 중요한 것이라고 할 수 있는 영역에 대한 영적인 내용에 해당이 된다. 이런 영적인 내용은 이 땅의 삶에 영향을 미칠뿐만 아니라 이 땅 밖의 저세상의 나라에 관한 내용이고 또한 이 땅의 삶의 이전과 이 땅의 삶 후의 시간에 대한 내용이다.

하나님의 영이 그런 지식을 사람들에게 설명하고 어떤 생명이 있는 존재가 죽은 존재에게 또한 생명을 주기 위해 죽은 존재에게 말하면, 그런 지식이 비로소 축복이 될 수 있다. 인간 자신의 의지가 영이 역사하게 만들어야만 하고 인간 자신이 동인이 되어 하나님과 영원한 아버지 영과 연결을 구해야만 한다. 이런 연결은 항상 단지 긴밀한 기도와 사랑을 행하는 일을 통해 일어날 수 있고 이를 통해 그 안의 영의 불씨가 자유롭게 되고 역사하게 된다.

하나님과 연결이 힘과 빛의 공급을 보장하고 어둡고 무지한 상태가 사라지게 한다. 왜냐면 빛이 모든 것을 비추고 힘이 끊임없이 증가하는 사랑을 행하는 일로 나타나기 때문이다. 지금까지 죽었던 상태가 생명에 도달하고 인간 자신이 열심히 일하게 되고 이전에 죽은 모든 지식이 또한 생명에 도달하고 모든 연관 관계가 인간에게 선명하게 된다. 그는 구원의 계획이 하나님의 질서에 따라 실행되고 있다는 것을 깨닫고 이를 알고 그에 대한 이유를 알게 된다. 그는 자신이 이런 구원 계획에 중심에 있고 이 일이 자신에 관한 일이라는 것을 깨닫고 자신이 목표에 도달해야만 하고 그가 빛 가운데 살 때 단지 이런 목표를 달성할 수 있다는 것을 깨닫는다. 그는 동시에 빛 자체가 이미 목표이고 빛이 없이는 그가 영원히 깊은 곳에 머물게 된다는 것을 깨닫는다. 그러므로 그는 생명이 자신 안에서 절대적으로 영이 깨어나야만 하는 일을 의미하고 영이 깨어나는 일이 요구 된다는 것을 깨닫는다.

그는 모든 죽음은 그의 운명이 완전한 경직 된 상태가 될 때까지 항상 더 깊은 곳으로 인도한다는 것을 깨닫는다. 각 개인이 스스로 이런 생명을 추구해야만 한다. 왜냐면 생명은 양도될 수 없고 항상 하나님께 대한 헌신과 도움의 요청과 자원하여 사랑을 행하려는 자세를 요구하기 때문이다. 이런 생명은 절대로 증가 된 이성의 활동으로 대체될 수 없다. 그러므로 사람이 이성의 지식이 부족할지라도 모든 사람이 생명에 도달할 수 있다. 반면에 인간이 하나님을 향한 헌신과 사랑을 행하라는 요구조건을 충족시키지 못하면, 높은 수준의 지식이 아직 생명을 의미하지 않는다. 그러면 그는 영원히 생명에 도달할 수 없게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 영이 그 안에서 잠들어 있고 영이 자신을 나타내고 빛을 전할 기회를 영에게 주지 않기 때문이다. 그러면 인간의 내면은 어둡게 머물게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 인간이 영적으로 죽었기 때문이다.

'Life' requires awakening of the spirit....

It is the spirit that makes alive.... As long as you humans have not yet awakened the spirit within you to life, all knowledge is dead and cannot lead you to life. And no matter how deeply the intellect strives to penetrate, it will not reach its aim, namely to penetrate God's plan of salvation with full clarity so that everything becomes understandable to it, so that it recognizes God's working and activity in His love and wisdom and now burns with love for Him.... Only an awakened spirit sees brightly and clearly. And the human being now has realization, he knows about his purpose of existence, about cause and destiny on this earth. But dead knowledge is everything that is gained intellectually, which the soul cannot yet comment on because the spirit in the human being has not yet been able to explain it to it, whose working is not yet permitted. This applies to spiritual knowledge which touches those areas which cannot be 'researched', which cannot be proven and yet must be called the most important, even though it is inscrutable to human intellect. For this spiritual knowledge not only concerns life on this earth but it also extends to the kingdom beyond this earth, it also concerns the time before and after life on this earth.... And such knowledge can therefore only be of blessing when the spirit from God explains it to people, when something 'living' speaks to the still dead in order to thereby also give him life. And this spirit must be prompted to work by the will of the human being himself, the human being must seek the connection with God, the father-spirit from eternity, of his own accord, which can only ever happen through heartfelt prayer and through lovingprayer.... Thereby the spiritual spark in him becomes free and thus active. The bond with God ensures the supply of strength and light, the dark, unknowing state disappears because the light illuminates everything, and the strength expresses itself in constantly increased loving activity.... Life comes over that which was hitherto dead, the human being himself becomes eagerly active and all hitherto dead knowledge also comes alive, all correlations become clear to the human being, he recognizes that a plan of salvation is unfolding in divine order; he knows the reason for it and recognizes that he himself is at the centre of that plan of salvation, that it concerns himself, that an aim has to be reached and that he can only reach that aim if he walks in the light.... that, as it were, the light itself is already the aim, that without this light he remains eternally in the depths.... that 'life' therefore also necessarily means or requires 'awakening of the spirit' in him. He recognizes that everything dead only leads deeper and deeper until complete torpor is his lot. And each individual must strive for this life himself, for it cannot be transferred but always requires devotion to God, the request for help and the willingness to love.... And this life can never be replaced by increased intellectual activity, which is why every person can attain life even if he is poor in intellectual knowledge.... whereas a high degree of knowledge still does not signify 'life' if the person lacks these conditions: Devotion to God and activity of love. Then he will eternally not attain life, for the spirit slumbers within him, it is not given the opportunity to express itself and spread light, and it will remain dark in the human being, for he himself is dead in spirit....
