문자적인 의미는 죽이고 영적인 의미가 생명을 준다.

문자는 죽이고 영이 비로소 생명을 준다. 기록된 것을 이웃에게 알리는 너희 모두는 이 점에 주의해야만 한다. 너희는 내 영이 없이 모든 말씀에 다양한 의미를 부여할 수 있고 너희가 모든 말씀을 여러 가지 방법으로 해석할 수 있고 너희가 이 가운데 진리에서 멀어질 수 있고 혼에게 가치가 없는 죽은 지식을 얻을 수 있다는 것을 알아야만 한다. 영이 비로소 생명을 주고 영이 비로소 이전에 어두웠던 것을 밝혀주고 영이 비로소 내 말씀 안에 들어 있는 의미를 너희에게 설명해주고 깨달은 생각이 비로소 말씀을 이제 진리에 합당한 방식으로 이해하고 처리하게 한다.

너희가 성경에서 어떤 모든 것을 읽을 수 있느냐? 너희가 모든 것들의 의미를 완전히 뒤집을 수 있고 또한 너희의 의지와 내 영이 너희 안에서 역사하게 하는 너희의 능력에 따라 가장 밝은 빛을 너희 안에 밝혀줄 수 있다. 그러므로 잘못된 가르침이 생길 수 있고 사람들에게 전해질 수 있다. 왜냐면 나 자신이 아직 영 안에 거할 수 없는 곳은 어디든지 내 대적자가 개입하기 때문이고 내 대적자가 단지 진리에 대항할 수 있다면, 내 말씀을 왜곡하는 일을 주저하지 않기 때문이다.

너희는 모든 사람의 생각이 다른 방향을 취할 수 있고 모든 사람이 자신의 생각을 정확하고 진실된 것으로 대변하기를 원한다는 것을 안다. 그러나 너희는 또한 서로 다른 의견들이 진리임을 주장할 수 없다는 것을 안다. 그러므로 너희는 자체가 영원으로부터 진리인 분과 상의를 해야만 하고 나에게 증거하는 성경을 해석하기 전에 그 분에게 영을 깨우쳐주기를 구해야만 한다.

너희는 내 말씀을 단지 이성으로 다뤄서는 안 되고 모든 말씀이 다양한 의미를 가지고 있고 올바른 의미를 찾으려고 노력해야만 한다는 것을 알아야만 한다. 그러나 찾으로려고 노력하기 전에 내 도움을 구해야만 한다는 것을 알아야만 한다. 너희의 의지가 선하고 순수한 진리를 선포하려고 한다면, 너희의 생각은 진리를 위해 깨우침을 받게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 나는 진리가 사람들 사이에서 영접을 받기를 원하고 사람들의 심장이 단지 순수한 진리가 점화시킬 수 있는 빛이 되기를 원하기 때문이다.

결정적인 것은 말씀 자체인 문자가 아니라 말씀에 숨겨져 있는 의미이다. 비록 내가 이 땅에 거할 때와 그 전에도 사람들에게 아주 분명하고 이해하지 못할 수 없게 말했을지라도 이런 내 말씀도 또한 심장이 아니라 단지 이성으로 내 말씀을 다루고 내 도움을 요청하지 않으면, 이런 내 말씀도 변개되거나 또는 합당한 의미로 해석되지 못할 수 있다. 그러면 진실로 말 그대로 문자가 죽일 수 있고 혼에게 죽음을 줄 수 있고 혼에게 영향을 미치지 못하고 이로써 혼이 양분을 얻지 못하고 영적인 죽음에 빠지게 하거나 또는 혼이 완전히 잘못된 음식을 제공받아 생명으로 깨어날 수 없게 된다.

왜냐면 영이 비로소 생명을 주기 때문이다. 나는 진실로 긴밀하게 영을 구하고 나를 섬기고 이웃의 혼의 문제로부터 이웃을 돕기를 원해 자원하여 나와 진리를 선포하는 모든 사람에게 영을 부어주고 그들은 그들이 요청한 것을 받게 될 것이다. 그러면 그들은 내 포도원에서 나를 위한 좋은 종이 될 것이고 그들은 항상 그들의 주인의 뜻을 행하게 될 것이고 이로써 이 땅의 진정한 내 대리자가 될 것이고 내 대신에 내가 이 땅에서 가르친 것과 같은 말을 같은 의미로 말을 할 것이다.

The letter kills.... the spirit makes alive....

The letter kills, only the spirit brings life.... all of you who proclaim to your fellow human beings what is written must take this to heart.... You must know that without My spirit you can give every word many different meanings, that you can interpret everything in many different ways and that you can thereby distance yourselves far from the truth, that you can acquire dead knowledge which is of no value to the soul. Only the spirit brings life, and only the spirit illuminates what was previously dark.... Only My spirit enlightens you as to the meaning of My word, and only enlightened thinking grasps and processes the word such that the interpretation corresponds to the truth. You can read everything from the scriptures.... You can completely change their meaning and also kindle brightest light in you again, depending on your will and your ability to let My spirit work in you. And thus erroneous teachings can also arise and find their way in amongst people, because My adversary intervenes wherever I Myself cannot yet be in spirit, because he is also not afraid to distort My word if only he can work against the truth. You know yourselves that every person's thoughts can take a different direction and that everyone nevertheless wants to represent his thoughts as right and true.... but you also know that different opinions cannot claim to be true, and therefore you must consult the one Who Himself is the truth from eternity.... You must ask Him for enlightenment of your spirit before you start to interpret the scriptures which testify of Me.... You must not only deal with My word intellectually, you must know that every word allows for many different meanings and seek to find the right meaning, yet not without first calling upon My help.... And if your will is good, if you only try to proclaim the pure truth, your thinking will also be enlightened for the sake of truth, for I want truth to find its way in amongst people and I want light to shine in people's hearts, but only pure truth can kindle it.... It is not the word itself, the letter, which is decisive but the meaning which is hidden in the word.... And even though I spoke to you humans so clearly and unmistakably when I walked on earth and also before.... even these words of Mine can be misinterpreted if only the intellect and not the heart deals with them and if My assistance is not requested. And then the letter can 'kill' in the true sense of the word.... it can cause death to the soul which is not addressed and thus falls prey to spiritual death without any nourishment or is offered completely wrong food so that it cannot awaken to life. For only the spirit brings life.... And I truly want to give this to all those who sincerely ask Me for it, who are willing to proclaim Me Myself and the truth in order to serve Me and to help their fellow human beings out of their souls' adversity.... They will receive what they request and then also be good servants to Me in My vineyard, who will only ever do their lord's will and thus are also in truth My representatives on earth, who will speak in My stead.... the same word in the same sense which I taught on earth....
