사랑과 믿음.

사람들에게 사랑과 믿음이 부족하다. 이런 부족함이 사람들을 멸망당하게 한다. 단지 자기를 사랑하고 고통 가운데 있는 이웃에게 어떤 감정도 가질 수 없는 사람들의 강팍해진 심장이 하늘과 땅의 창조주를 믿을 수 없게 한다. 왜냐면 믿음은 사랑에서 나오고, 믿음은 사랑을 통해 비로소 생명력이 있게 되기 때문이다. 그러므로 종말의 때에 큰 영적인 위험이 있고 어두움과 죄악된 상태가 된다. 왜냐면 사랑이 없고 믿음이 없으면 사람들을 위한 빛과 깨달음이 없기 때문이다. 그러므로 사람들이 하나님의 대적자에게 굴복하게 된다. 하나님의 대적자에게는 전혀 사랑이 없고, 사람들 안의 사랑을 없애려고 한다.

사람들에게 전혀 생명이 없다. 이 땅의 삶은 단지 짧고, 그 후에 끔찍하게 고통스러운 영적인 죽음에 빠진다. 왜냐면 혼이 소멸되지는 않지만 그러나 육신의 죽음 후에 혼이 처한 상태는 생명이라고 할 수 없기 때문이다. 그러나 사랑과 믿음이 단지 생명으로 깨어나게 하고, 사랑과 믿음이 없는 곳에는 죽음이 있다. 사랑과 믿음이 하나님과의 연합을 보장한다. 그러나 하나님이 없이는 생명이 없고, 하나님이 없이는 어두움과 무기력이 있고, 전형적인 죽음인 활동하지 않는 상태가 있다.

사람들은 단지 자신이 보는 것을 믿고, 자신을 단지 사랑한다. 그들이 만질 수 없고 볼 수 없는 모든 영적인 것을 부인한다. 왜냐면 그들 안에 사랑이 없기 때문이다. 사랑이 있었다면, 신적인 원리로서 사랑이 또한 하나님을 믿는 믿음을 살아나게 했을 것이다. 왜냐면 그러면 하나님 자신이 사람 안에서 역사할 수 있고, 하나님의 임재가 그에게 내적인 확신을 주었을 것이기 때문이다. 그러나 사랑이 없으면 심장은 침묵하고, 하나님과 멀어지고, 하나님의 힘을 느끼지 못한다. 그러므로 이성이 사람 주의의 모든 것을 창조한 창조주의 실체를 인정하도록 움직일 수 없고, 심장이 이성을 가르칠 수 없다. 왜냐면 심장 자신에게 어떤 가르침도 줄 수 없기 때문이다. 왜냐면 사랑의 부족이 영이 역사하는 일을 막기 때문이다. 영은 내면으로부터 사람을 가르치고, 느낌을 통해 사람에게 진리를 전한다.

사랑과 믿음이 부족한 인간의 심장에는 고요함이 있고, 혼이 큰 위험에 처한다. 그러나 인간을 사랑으로 변화시키기 위해 이 땅의 많은 고난이 필요하다. 이로써 그가 이웃 사람들의 비참함에 마음이 움직여 그 안의 사랑의 불씨가 타오르게 한다. 그러면 비로소 자신의 영적인 위험이 사라지기 시작하고, 그러면 비로소 그의 심장 내면이 빛이 되고, 그러면 비로소 이성이 자신의 사명에 대해 설명해주는 질문을 시도하고, 자신의 영원한 창조주와 자신과 창조주의 관계를 설명해주는 질문을 시도한다. 그러면 그는 비로소 믿는 법을 배우고, 그 안의 사랑이 더 역사할수록, 그의 믿음도 더 확신이 있게 되고, 영적인 어두움이 낮의 빛과 올바른 깨달음과 생명에 의해 물러난다.

사랑과 믿음이 영원 가운데 삶을 정한다. 사랑과 믿음은 또한 이 땅에서 이미 인간의 영의 상태를 밝게 한다. 그러나 사랑과 믿음이 없으면, 영의 거듭남이 없고 하나님과의 연합도 없다. 사랑과 믿음이 없으면 구원이 없고, 혼은 영원히 죽음의 밤에 가운데 머문다. 왜냐면 혼이 하나님과 멀리 떨어져 있고 그러므로 축복될 수 없기 때문이다.

Love and faith....

People lack love and faith and this is their undoing. Their hardened hearts, which only love themselves and cannot muster any feeling for their suffering fellow human beings, are also incapable of believing in a creator of heaven and earth, for faith comes forth from love, faith only comes alive through love. And that is why at the time of the end there is great spiritual hardship, the state of darkness and sin. For without love and without faith there is no light and no knowledge for people either; and therefore they succumb to God's adversary, the prince of darkness, who is devoid of all love and also extinguishes it in people. People are completely without life, for earthly life is only short and then they succumb to spiritual death, which is dreadfully agonizing because there is no extinction for the soul but life is inconceivable in the state the soul is in after its physical death. For love and faith alone are life-awakening, where love and faith are missing, there is death. For love and faith secure the union with God, but without God there is no life, without God there is darkness and powerlessness and thus a state of inactivity, the epitome of death.... People only believe what they see, and they only love themselves. They reject everything spiritual, which is not tangible or visible to them, precisely because they have no love within themselves which, as a divine principle, would also revive faith in God, because then God Himself could work in the human being and His presence would also become an inner conviction for him. But without love the heart is mute, it is far from God and does not feel His strength. And thus the intellect cannot be moved to acknowledge a being Which is the creator of everything that surrounds the human being. The heart cannot instruct the intellect because it is itself inaccessible to all instruction, for the lack of love prevents the working of the spirit which instructs the human being from within and emotionally presents the truth to him. Where love and faith are lacking, the human heart is silent and the soul is in great distress. But in order to shape the human being into love, much earthly hardship is necessary so that he will be touched by the misery of his fellow human beings and the spark of love will be ignited in him.... Only then will his own spiritual hardship begin to fade away, only then will his heart become light, and only then will his intellect consider the questions which provide him with information about his destiny, about his creator of eternity and his relationship with Him.... Only then will he learn to believe, and the more active love becomes in him the more convinced his faith will also become, and the spiritual darkness will give way to the light of day, to right knowledge and to life.... Love and faith determine life in eternity, but they also illuminate the human being's spiritual state on earth. For without love and faith there is no spiritual rebirth and no union with God, without love and faith there is no redemption, and the soul remains eternally in the night of death. For it is far from God and therefore cannot be blissfully happy either....
