이웃 사랑을 통해 하나님을 사랑하는 것을 증명한다.

단지 사랑을 원칙으로 하는 것만이 나의 눈에 합당하다. 너희는 너희가 무엇으로 나를 사랑함을 표현할 지, 의문을 가질 것이다. 나는 너희들에게 항상 단지 하나의 답변을 준다: 실천하는 이웃 사랑을 통해서이다. 너희는 절대로 이웃에게 해를 끼쳐서는 안 된다. 너희는 절대로 이웃에게 고통을 주어서는 안되고, 이웃이 너희의 도움이 필요하면, 그가 너희에게 헛되이 도움을 청하게 해서는 절대로 안 된다. 너희는 절대로 이웃사람의 혼이 비참하게 되도록 놔둬서는 안 된다. 왜냐면 어두움 속에 고통 당하는 이웃 사람의 혼을 돕는 일이 특별한 이웃 사랑이기 때문이다.

나는 너희가 이웃 사람에게 행하는 것을 나에게 행한 것으로 여기고 합당하게 너희에게 보상하고, 내가 보상으로 너희에게 나의 사랑을 준다. 나의 사랑을 받을 수 있다는 사실이 진실로 이 땅에 사는 동안에 모든 것을 의미한다. 너희는 나의 사랑을 항상 육체적으로 느끼지는 못할 것이다. 나의 사랑은 어떤 영적인 것으로, 단지 행복감으로 느낄 수 있고, 너희가 짧은 시간 동안만 이런 행복감을 느끼거나 또는 나 자신이 나의 깊은 아버지의 사랑의 증거로 너희가 받아 적게 하는, 나의 말씀을 영접함으로 지속적으로 나의 사랑과 은혜의 증거를 얻는다.

이런 나의 말씀을 가진 사람은, 비록 그가 이 땅에서 축복된 감정을 알지 못할지라도, 나로부터 사랑을 받는다는 것을 스스로 알 수 있다. 왜냐면 나는 지혜로운 이유를 가지고 있고, 내가 진실로 모든 사람의 느낌의 삶을 알기 때문이다. 나는 얼마나 쉽게 이 땅의 연결을 버리고, 단지 영의 영역에서 살기 원하는 지를 알고, 이런 일은 혼에게 유익이 되지 않는다. 그러므로 나는 심장을 아직 붙잡아 두고, 세상 염려로 심장에 짐을 주어, 혼이 선명하게 보는 일을 흐리게 만들었을 심장의 느낌을 막지만 그러나 선명하게 보는 일은 절대적으로 필요하다. 왜냐면 내가 그의 심장 안에 거하고, 그에게 속하게 되기를 원하고, 이런 일이 생각이 말짱한 상태에서 일어나야 하기 때문이다.

나 자신이 너희에게 다가간다. 나는 나를 위해 준비된 심장 안으로 들어가, 외부의 영향과 외부의 선생을 동원하지 않고, 그 안에서 그를 가르친다. 이를 통해 나는 나의 사랑을 나타낸다. 내가 너희에게 너희 이웃에게 증명해야 하는 사랑을 요구하는 것보다 더 이해하기 쉬운 것이 무엇이냐? (1949년 6월 11일) 너희가 나를 기쁘게 하기 위해, 나의 사랑을 얻기 위해 해야 할 일은 단지 이웃을 사랑하는 일을 통해 이룰 수 있다. 왜냐면 너희가 나의 사랑의 능력에서 나온 것을 인정하는 일 외에는 나를 위해 아무것도 할 수 없기 때문이다. 그러므로 너희가 나를 사랑하고 경배하기 원하면, 너희는 내가 창조한 것을 사랑해야 한다. 내가 사람들을 나의 형상을 따라 창조했기 때문에, 그리고 그들이 온전하지 못하게 되었다면, 다시 나의 형상으로 변화되어야 할 사람은 이웃사람의 사랑을 받을 가치가 있다.

너희 모두는 나의 피조물이다. 너희는 서로 사랑해야 한다. 그러면 너희는 아버지인 나에게 참 기쁨을 선사하는 것이다. 그러면 나는 너희 모두를 나의 끝없는 사랑으로 감쌀 수 있다. 왜냐면 너희는 이미 나의 소유가 된 사람들에 속할 수 있는 성품인 순수한 사랑을 갖게 되었기 때문이다. 사랑이 없이는 아무도 축복받을 수 없음을 이해하라. 왜냐면 사랑은 신적인 것이고, 하나님을 닮은 존재의 축복에 속한 것이기 때문이다. 그러므로 너희는 너희 이웃들을 선하게 대해야 한다. 모든 어려움을 해결해주려고 하고, 도우려고 해야 한다. 너희는 이웃들을 병들게 해서는 안되고, 해를 끼쳐서는 안 된다. 대신에 항상 그들을 너희가 가장 사랑하는, 아버지의 사랑을 받는 형제로 여겨야 한다. 모든 생각과 모든 행동과 모든 말이 단지 사랑을 나타내야 한다. 그러면 너희가 나를 기쁘게 할 것이다. 그러면 나는 이런 너희의 이웃에 대한 사랑을 나를 향한 사랑으로 영접할 것이고, 너희에게 모든 긴밀함으로 이 사랑에 대해 응답할 것이다.

Demonstrating the love of God through labouring charity....

Only that is valid before My eyes which has love as its principle. You will ask yourselves in what way I want love for Me to be expressed, and I can only ever give you the answer: through active neighbourly love.... You should never harm your neighbour, you should never cause him suffering, you should never let him ask in vain if he needs your help, and you should never let him live in want of his soul, for this is a special work of neighbourly love that you come to the aid of your neighbour's soul while it is still languishing in darkness. What you do to your neighbour I regard as proven to Me and reward you accordingly.... I give you My love in return, and to be allowed to receive My love truly means everything as long as you live on earth. You will not always feel My love physically, it is something spiritual and can only be felt as blissful, you will only be aware of it at times, or else you will have constant evidence of My love and grace through the acceptance of My word, which I Myself dictate to you as a sign of My heartfelt fatherly love. Anyone who has this word of Mine can know himself loved by Me even if he does not know the feeling of bliss on earth.... Then I have My wise reason for this, for I truly know every person's life of feeling, I know how easy it is to lose the bond with earth and only want to dwell in spiritual regions.... This is not beneficial for the soul, and therefore I still keep the hearts imprisoned, I burden them with earthly worries and thereby prevent them from sensations which would cloud the soul's clear vision but which is absolutely necessary because I Myself want to take abode in the heart and be heard and this should happen in a state of sober thinking. I come to you Myself, I occupy the heart of the one who has prepared it for Me and now instruct him from within, without external influence and external teachers.... Thus I express My love through this.... What is more understandable than that I also demand love, which you should now demonstrate towards your neighbour? (11.6.1949) Therefore, what you should do in order to please Me, in order to also gain My love, can only be borne by love for your neighbour, for you can do nothing else for Me Myself but acknowledge what has emerged from My strength of love and thus, if you want to love and honour Me, also love what I have created. And since I created the human being in My image and therefore, even if he has become imperfect, he shall shape himself into My image again, he is also worthy of the love of his fellow human being. You are all My living creations and should love each other, then you will also give Me as the father the right pleasure, then I will also be able to embrace you all with My infinite love, for then you will already accept the being which can join Mine, which is pure love in itself. Understand that without love no-one can become blissfully happy, because love is divine and a God-like being belongs to beatitude. And therefore you should be good towards your neighbour, you should helpfully try to remedy every need, you should not offend him, not harm him but always consider him your dearest brother to whom the father's love belongs again. Every thought, every action, every word should only ever radiate love, then you will gain My pleasure, then I will accept this love for your neighbour as love for Myself and return this love to you with all sincerity....
