위에서 오는 진리.

사람들에게 하나님의 영이 자신을 드러내는, 이런 소수의 사람들은 특별한 지식을 받기 위해 택함을 받았다. 그러므로 그들은 자주 저항이나 불신에 직면하게 된다. 왜냐면 이런 지식은 세상 지식과 일치하지 않고, 책에서 얻은, 올바른 지식으로 믿고 있는 영적인 지식을 넘어서는 지식이기 때문이다. 하나님은 실제 그들의 뜻을 분명히 알고, 그들에게 또한 더 많은 지식을 주려고 시도한다. 그러나 사람은 자신이 소유한 지식을 통해 영이 거만하다. 그가 하나님께 깨달음을 구하고, 하나님이 생각을 통해 그를 가르치면, 그는 진리 안에 서게 될 것이다.

그러나 대부분의 경우 사람은 진리뿐만 아니라 오류를 포함하는 지식을 받아드린다. 그는 이런 오류를 버리려고 하지 않는다. 다시 말해 그는 진리와 거짓을 구별하고, 버릴 수 있는 어떤 지식도 받아들이지 않는다. 그에게 순수한 진리를 전하는 일은 어렵다. 특히 올바른 지식에 있는 사람에게 그의 지식을 넘어서는 것에 대해 설명을 주려고 할 때, 더욱 어렵다.

그러나 하나님은 사람들이 믿도록 하기 위해, 그들이 모든 연관관계를 이해할 수 있게 해주기 위해, 지식을 이 땅에 전파하기를 원한다. 하나님의 영은 하나님이 영원으로부터 사람들에게 알려 준 것 과 다른 것은 절대로 가르치지 않을 것이다. 그러나 인간의 의지가, 그가 건너기를 원하지 않고 또한 허물기를 원하지 않는 장벽을 쌓아 스스로 지식에 한계를 만든다. 이런 장벽은 하나님의 순수한 말씀에 첨가하고, 이로써 하나님의 순수한 말씀을 변개시키는 인간의 작품이다.

하나님의 말씀과 인간의 역사를 구별하기 위해서는 하나님의 영이 다시 사람 안에서 활동해야만 한다. 사람은 하나님이 사람의 의지를 올바르게 생각하도록 강요하지 않고, 항상 올바르게 생각하도록 돕는다는 것을 알아야만 한다. 그는 더 나아가 하나님이 사람들이 자신의 의지와는 반대로 일할 때, 방해하지 않음을 알아야 만하고, 하나님이 항상 또 다시 사람들에게 변개되지 않은 자신의 말씀을 주면서 자신의 말씀을 순수하게 유지한다는 것을 알아야만 하고, 그러므로 그는 자신의 말이 변하지 않고 유지되도록 계속해서 자신이 말씀 안에서 사람들에게 임한다는 것을 알아야 만하고, 그러나 하나님은 인간의 의지가 말씀이 주어진 이래로 항상 지속적으로 새롭게 만들고, 만들었던 변화로부터 말씀을 보호하지 않는다는 것을 알아야만 한다.

그럼에도 불구하고 하나님을 섬기려는 의지와 사랑으로 이런 말씀을 읽는 사람의 심장을 인도할 것이고, 말씀 안에서 그에게 자신을 계시한다. 이로써 사람이 말씀에서 단지 순수한 것을 얻고, 하나님의 뜻을 거스르는, 하나님의 말씀에 더해진 가르침에 불평하지 않는다. 그러나 이성적으로 하나님의 가르침과 인간의 개입 사이의 연관관계를 찾거나, 만들기를 원하는 일은 잘못된 생각으로 인도한다. 사람이 올바르게 행동하기를 원할지라도, 그의 뜻이 하나님의 뜻보다 강하다면, 그는 자신의 뜻으로 하나님의 뜻에 대항한다.

하나님의 가르침을 받은 사람은 자신의 지식을 대변할 권리와 의무가 있다. 그에게 어떤 이의가 제기되든, 그는 자신을 혼란스럽게 만들어서는 안 된다. 왜냐면 하나님의 가르침을 받은 사람들은 일치된 같은 진리를 받을 것이기 때문이다. 그들은 서로 다른 지식을 갖게 되지 않을 것이고, 그들이 하나님을 섬기려는 의지를 가지고 있다면, 즉 받은 진리로 하나님을 위해 일하고, 진리를 이웃 사람들에게 전하고, 이로써 이 땅에서 구원하는 일을 하기 원한다면, 진리에 합당한 것을 하나님으로부터 받게 될 것이다.

자기 자신만을 위한 지식을 갈망하는 사람은 아직 어느정도 자기 사랑 가운데 있다. 자기 사랑은 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 이웃 사랑과는 정반대이지만, 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 이웃 사랑은 진리를 받기 위한 첫 번째 조건이다. 다양한 내용의 계시들이 진리인지 시험하기를 원한다면, 이 기준을 적용해야만 한다. 단지 사랑으로 섬기기 원한 의지가 하나님의 말씀을 받을 수 있게 한다. 하나님의 영은 깊은 믿음을 가지고, 자신을 사랑으로 만든 사람 안에서 역사할 수 있다. 하나님의 영의 역사는 그의 결과가 육체가 아니라, 혼이 행복하게 느끼는 방식으로 나타난다.

혼이 받은 영적 재물로 인해 기뻐하고 환호할 때, 몸은 자신의 욕망이 뒤로 물러나게 해야만 한다. 그러므로 하나님의 영으로부터 영적 재물을 받는 사람은 항상 점점 더 세상으로부터 멀어지게 될 것이다. 즉 더 이상 몸에 주의를 기울이지 않게 될 것이다. 반면에 진리와 일치하지 않는 가르침은 혼에게 어떤 공허함을 유발하고, 인간은 이런 공허감을 몸에 유익한 것을 위해 추구함으로써 공허감을 해결하려고 시도하게 될 것이다. 진리는 단지 혼에게 유용하고, 진리가 아닌 것은 육체에게 유용하다. 왜냐하면 육체와 물질은 아직 인류에게 진리가 아닌 것을 전해주려는 자의 일부이기 때문이다. 영과 하나가 된 사람들은 혼의 생명을 추구한다. 왜냐하면 그들에게는 그들의 혼이 모든 것을 의미하기 때문이다.

그러나 이 땅에서 죽음과 함께 세상을 떠났다고 믿는 사람들이 이 땅에서 특별하게 사랑을 행하지 않았다면, 그런 사람들이 가장 위험에 처한다. 왜냐면 그들의 지식은 진실로 아직 거의 없기 때문이다. 그들의 지식을 높이기 위해 하나님은 아는 사람과 만나게 한다. 다시 말해 오류에 빠진 사람을 가르치기 위해 하나님이 지식을 전달받은 사람들과 만나게 한다.

하나님의 사랑은 또한 인류에게 축복이 되도록 그들에게 알려주기를 원한다. 자원하는 사람이, 겸손하게 자신을 하나님의 인도 아래 두고, 하나님의 인도를 받는다면, 그는 진리를 깨닫는다. 왜냐면 하나님은 모든 사람을 지식으로 인도하고, 그가 기꺼이 어떤 저항도 반대하지 않는다면, 진리 안에 서게 될 것이기 때문이다. 그는 자신이 심장의 음성으로 인도받을 수 있도록 허용해야만 한다. 그러나 내면의 음성이 제공된 것을 받아들이도록 촉구하는 곳에서 절대로 이성적으로 판단을 해서는 안 된다.

Truth from above....

The few people to whom the spirit of God reveals itself are chosen to receive extraordinary knowledge, and this is why they will so often meet with resistance or disbelief, because this knowledge does not correspond to worldly knowledge and also surpasses the knowledge of the one who receives spiritual knowledge from books and believes himself to be in the right state of realization. God certainly recognizes his will and He also tries to impart increased knowledge to him; however, the human being is arrogant in spirit due to the knowledge he possesses. He will stand in the truth as soon as he asks God for enlightenment and allows himself to be mentally instructed by God. In most cases, however, knowledge is taken over by people which, in addition to the truth, also contains error. And the human being is not willing to give in to error, i.e. he does not accept any kind of instruction which would enable him to distinguish and separate truth from falsehood. And then it is difficult to convey the pure truth to him, especially if the person with the right realization wants to give him clarification about things that are beyond his knowledge. But God wants to spread this knowledge on earth in order to make people believe, in order to make them understand the connection between all things. The spirit from God will never teach people anything other than what God has revealed to people from eternity, however, human will has created its own limits of knowledge by erecting barriers which it does not want to cross and also does not want to tear down. These barriers are the work of man, which has joined the pure word of God and has thus moulded it. In order to be able to distinguish between God's word and the work of man, the spirit from God must again be active in man, and man must know that God does not force his will to think correctly but that He will always help him to do so. Furthermore, he must know that He does not prevent people from working against His will.... that He keeps His word pure insofar as that He repeatedly allows it to be conveyed to people in an unspoilt state.... that He therefore repeatedly descends to people in the word so that His word remains unchanged.... but that He does not protect that word from change, which human will has constantly shaped and reshaped ever since it came into being. Nevertheless, He will guide the mind of the person who reads this word in love for Him and in the will to serve God.... He will reveal Himself to him in the word so that the human being only draws the pure word from it and does not take offence at the teachings which were added to His word against God's will. Yet intellectually wanting to find or create a connection between the divine teachings and the work of man leads to erroneous thinking, and even if man wants to act right.... his will is stronger than the will of God, so he opposes the divine will with his own will. He who is taught by God also has the right and the duty to defend his knowledge, and he must not allow himself to be put off, whatever objections are made to him.... For those who are taught by God will receive the same truth in agreement. They will not have different knowledge, they will only ever receive from God what corresponds to the truth as soon as they have the will to serve God, i.e. to work for Him with the received truth, to impart it to fellow human beings and thus to be redemptively active on earth. Anyone who only desires knowledge for himself still has a certain self-love, which is contrary to unselfish neighbourly love, but which is the first condition for receiving the truth. And this must be the yardstick by which the truth of proclamations of various contents is tested. Only the will to serve in love makes a person capable of receiving the divine word, and only in a person who is deeply faithful and moulds himself into love can the spirit from God work. And the working of the divine spirit manifests itself in such a way that the result of it is perceived favourably by the soul but not by the body.... If the soul rejoices and exults because of the spiritual knowledge received, the body will have to withdraw with its desire, thus the person who receives spiritual knowledge from God's spirit will increasingly turn away from the world, thus no longer paying attention to the body.... while the teachings which do not correspond to the truth trigger a certain emptiness in the soul, and the person will try to lift this feeling of emptiness by striving for something beneficial for the body. Truth only benefits the soul, untruth the body, because the body, matter, is still part of the one who wants to bring untruth to humanity. Those who are of one mind strive for the life of the soul because their soul means everything to them.... But in greatest danger are those people who think they have passed away with death on earth if they are not exceptionally active in love on earth. For their knowledge is truly still limited. In order to increase their knowledge, God lets them find contact with knowledgeable people, i.e. those to whom knowledge was imparted by God for the purpose of instructing the misguided. God's love also wants to make them knowledgeable for the benefit of humanity. And the willing person recognizes the truth as soon as he humbly submits to divine guidance and allows himself to be guided by Him.... For God leads every human being towards realization and he will stand in the truth if he is willing and does not resist. He must allow himself to be guided by the voice of the heart but never judge intellectually where the inner voice urges him to accept what is offered....
