믿음을 강하게 하라는 권면.

하나님이 너희에게 주는 대로 모든 것을 받아들여라. 너희가 피곤해지고, 절망할 때가 올 것이고, 너희 믿음이 연약하게 될 위험이 있는 때가 올 것이다. 그러면 단지 기도에 매달리고, 하나님께 능력을 간청하라. 그러면 너희는 믿음의 연약함과 모든 세상의 위험을 극복할 것이다. 왜냐하면 하나님은 세상을 대항하는 싸움에 강한 전사가 필요하기 때문이다. 사람은 단지 자신을 극복하는 일을 통해서만 강해진다.

그러므로 하나님께 모든 희생을 드려라. 모든 세상의 기쁨을 피하려고 시도하라. 하나님과 내적으로 깊게 연결이 된 가운데 머물라. 하나님이 너희가 성장하도록 시험을 치르게 한 일 가운데 그의 큰 사랑을 깨달으라. 왜냐하면 너희를 일하도록 부르는 날이 항상 더욱 가까이 다가오기 때문이다. 하나님은 모든 위험 가운데 너와 함께 한다. 그러므로 위험이 너를 짓누르게 하지 말라. 하나님이 한번 자신의 사랑으로 붙잡은 사람을 더 이상 놓지 않기 때문이다. 네가 모든 세상의 위험을 두려워하지 않고 맞이하고, 항상 단지 그에게 기도하는 가운데 도피할 정도로 이런 믿음이 네 안에서 아주 강하게 돼야 한다.

하나님이 사람들에게 보내는 것은 모든 고요한 상태를 흔들게 될 것이다. 믿는 사람들도 하나님의 사랑을 의심하고, 하나님이 자신을 떠난 것으로 생각할 것이다. 그러나 하나님은 보이지 않게 그들과 함께 하고, 단지 자신의 도움에 대한 확신과 희망을 요구하고, 확신과 희망을 실망시키지 않을 것이다.

A reminder of the strength of faith....

Receive everything from God as it is sent to you. There will come times when you will be weary and despondent and when your faith threatens to weaken. But then just stick to prayer and implore God for strength, and you will overcome the weakness of faith and all earthly hardship. For God needs strong fighters for the battle against the world, and man only becomes strong by overcoming himself. And therefore make every sacrifice to God; try to abstain from every worldly pleasure; remain deeply inwardly connected to God and recognize His great love in that He imposes trials on you by which you are to mature. For the day is drawing ever closer that calls you to action. God stands by you in every adversity, and so it must not weigh you down. For once God has seized you with His love He will not let you fall, and this faith should become so strong in you that you will face every earthly adversity without fear and only ever take refuge in Him in prayer. What God sends upon people will shake everyone's peace, and even the believers will doubt His love and think that God has abandoned them. Yet He invisibly stands by their side and only demands confidence and hope in His help.... and He will not disappoint them....
